"Hey Kay, the newbies are looking pretty sharp, and you know Mikey is never up before noon on day's off, plus tonight he has his first shift with security as a tag along, so he's probably trying to sleep as much as he can in his dorm before that. And of course I don't mind Rosaline, though we are going to the cafe, so you might want to hold off on the gum until after breakfast." He spoke quietly, so only the kids who were pressed close to the front could here the quick exchanges.
He spoke louder, this time trying to get the attention of all members of the little group, "Everybody, eyes up front real quick, these two nice individuals are Kaden Kerr and Rosaline Gale, I promise Rosie shouldn't bite, Kay on the other hand..." Connor winked grinning. Kay had a predatory evolution, so she looked rather fierce, and while Connor knew she wasn't as mean as she tried to act, it was always fun to give the newer kids a healthy dose of spooks from messing with people early on.
"Anyways, onwards." Connor smiled, he always enjoyed introducing the kids to the academy campus, showing them the inside of the mountain was always a bit of a treat, and very few people knew all the corridors and secret places. A while back a student had gone missing, and in order to help find the little one a girl named Kathrine had shared an incredibly detailed map she had made him. With it they had found the girl, and Connor ad shared the map with a few select students. Now he thought that maybe not sharing with the teachers really had been the best idea. "In here is the level three cafeteria, it's the best available to students in the academy, but there are four other cafeterias scattered around. Since this is the best as you can imagine on normal days it is pretty crowded, we are lucky today that it's pretty empty. Go ahead and grab some food, there are a couple options, the Grill you can get burgers, grilled cheese, fries, and shakes there, the Slice has pizza, pasta, ravioli, and gelato, there is a taco bar, you can get tacos, nachos, enchiladas, burritos, and tostadas, there is a sandwich bar, if you can't figure out what you can get there well there isn't really any help for you. Along the far wall is the market area, where you can pick up food to take back to your barracks. Now everything you get here you pay for with school credits, credits are earned with things like grades, extra curricular activities and the like, in addition you start out with a thousand credits, now thats plenty to live off of, you won't go hungry if you fail every class and do nothing with your life, but all the school stores also use credits, and you won't be getting any leave any time soon, so I would advise using the points wisely, as well as doing well in class, and joining some extra curricular activities." Connor spoke calmly and smoothly, "Credits are all stocked on your ID card, your ID is your life, it is the most important thing you own. It keeps track of your credits,it opens every hallway you're allowed in, it gets you into every room you're allowed in, it gets you into your room, it activates your computer, so in short it is everything you ever have."
