I'm sorry. I don't think I'll be able to continue this RP. I'm not having an easy time getting responses in, and I hate making you wait months for a response.
"Oh goodie, something else to look for" Simon said as he began to look around for a moment. "Well, let's find this quickly so that we can get to..." He stopped for a moment when he saw Vandal standing still, saying something aloud.

"Bro? I don't think what?" Vi questioned. She thought it was weird that he didn't answer her right away, especially when he shook the puzzled look off of his face. That's when he told her that she might have lost it somewhere at or along the way to school. However...something was off about the way he said it.

"Your brother's right, Vi" said Simon. "I'm sure your charm will be fine tomorrow morning. In the meantime, let's get dinner settled".

"A-Alright, I suppose".

~~~~~~
A lot later that night, after everyone had gone to bed, Vi was lying face up on her sleep spread in the dressing room. She had been unable to sleep for the night, and not just because they were sleeping in a dirty, dusty building. She was thinking about what her brother said...or rather, how he said it. "What did he mean by that?" The alarm clock sitting by the electrical socket read 4:09 am. Not a single wink of slept came to her, but she didn't even feel tired. The little magician decided that she should take a moment to look for her charm. If it really did get lost between the school and here, she might still be able to find it.
Slowly raising herself up to her feet as to not wake anyone else up, Vi crept along the hardwood floor to the door, grabbing her coat along the way, and left the dressing room. Everyone else should be dead asleep, but it wouldn't surprise her if Vandal were awake at this hour. It wasn't like she was making an effort to stay quiet now that she's out of the backstage area. After climbing off of the stage, she continued moving through the auditorium and closer to the exit.
It wasn't long after the search began when Vandal found the keys. The sound of them jingling was like music. With a hardy laugh, Simon stumbled over to his acrobat. "There's a good lad". "Way to go, bro!" Vi chimed in. Simon grabbed the keys and stuffed them away into his pocket. That's when Vandal asked about dinner. "Hmm, that's a good question" he began to ponder. Vi, on the other hand, seemed to be digging through her pockets. What started off as her casual stance quickly turned more tense as she began digging through her pockets more intensely. "What do you kids think about some grilled chicken?" Simon asked them. His eyes trailed over to the panicked girl, his eyebrow raising slightly. "Vi? What's the matter?" "M-My lucky charm! It's gone!"
Alright! I'll do my best to be active now that I'm done with school.
Don't worry about it. Life comes first.
I'll give this thread one more bump.
"Hmm? Yea, I'm fine". Honestly, the nerve of some of these people. He didn't even stick around to apologize to her. Oh well. Vandal looks like he's ready to get him back if they see him again, so she decided not to dwell on it for too long. "I wonder who that man was" she wondered aloud. The two of them continued to walk until they eventually got back to the theater. "Oh. Thank you" she said as she walked into the building. "Yo, boss! We're back!"
Simon, who was looking for the keys to the front door, poked his head up from behind one of the many auditorium seats. "Ah. Welcome back you two. Did it go well?"
"Mhm". She made her way toward the stage while keeping her eyes on her boss. "Didn't even get lost once!"
"Is that so?" that was uplifting to hear. Maybe these kids will fit right in with everything else. "Well, hopefully you'll both be able to memorize this town like the back of your hands one day". That's when Vandal told him about the school. "Ah, yes. It isn't surprising that the school wouldn't be open today. It shouldn't be too big of an issue, but remind me to take the both of you to go shopping for school supplies sometime before classes start".
"Hey boss, what're you doing?" Vi suddenly said. The ringleader blinked.
"Oh, nothing really. I just lost the keys to the front door around here somewhere, so I've been looking for them for the past half hour". He went back to investigating the floors to punctuate his point. "If you're both not doing anything, I would appreciate it if you helped me find them".
I hope you're having a happy holidays.
"Y-Yea! That's exactly it" She said, hoping that would be enough for her brother. "I'm just so nervous about going to school". She saw hit the button to go straight, and bit her lip a little. What if left were the right way, and they'd get lost again? They would never let her live this down. No, wait. Maybe her brother knew the way back to the theater. She would just have to trust his judgement. If he's right, then they will find their way back to the theater. As she was thinking things through, Vandal looked back at her for a moment. She just smiled at him, trying her best not to seem like she didn't know what she was doing.
And then, they saw the theater in the distance. Ooooh, sweet relief. They weren't going to have to have to wander around aimlessly. All they needed to do now was wait for the turn signal. So as they waited for what seemed like a long time, a man in his thirties was making his way down the sidewalk. He kept his hat over his eyes and his hands in his pockets. Just as the signal turned to let them cross, the man forcefully bumped into Vi's shoulder. "OW!" She yelped.
"Pardon" the mysterious man said as he rushed his way down the sidewalk".
Vi rubbed her sore shoulder as she watched the man walk off. "Ow....rude".
So, as the two siblings were walking up to the metal doors, Vi was more than happy to see what the inside of the building was like...only to be disappointed when Vandal couldn't get the door to open.
"Oh...I guess the event ended" she commented. That's strange...because the banner is still up. Now that he mentioned it, it does seem odd that the school would welcome new students the way they'd greet those who had already been going here for a while. It's a shame, but she supposed she could wait to see what the inside looked like on the day they actually went. "Nah, you're right bro. We should get back to the theater before the sun sets". As she began walking down the sidewalk, going back the way they came, it wasn't until she reached the intersection that something dawned on her.
"Umm..." her cheeks went red as she desperately frantically looked back and forth, all around the intersection. I don't remember the way home, she thought to herself. But she would be damned if she'd let her brother know that, especially after she convinced Simon that they wouldn't get lost this time. The girl tapped her cheek as she thought. Just keep acting like you know what you're doing, and maybe you'll find your way home. Now that she was repeating this mantra in her head, she pressed the button for the pedestrian signal to go left. "Right. We'll be home in no time. It's a good thing too, I was getting a little hungry".
