Tiffany could only blink at the boy's response. He didn't seem upset or freaked out or anything. "U-Umm..." she stammered, absentmindedly putting the gold pieces away. "Y-Yea. I'll be more careful". Technically this wasn't her fault, but she wasn't about to explain to this guy how her cat spilled glow potion onto her head. "Thank you for your patronage! We hope to see you again!"

In the back of her mind, she was panicking over the accident in the storage room. That was a whole week's worth of product that shattered into glass and puddles. She very visibly shivered at the thought of what kind of punishment Venelope would give her when she got home. All she knew is that it was going to be bad.
That's okay. Take your time, I understand. ^^
Lets see here...those three potions are kept in the storage room. She knew exactly where to find them too. "Okay, so fire proofing, elasticizing, and absorption proofing. Wait right here. I just have to go get them". She stated as she ran off into the back room.

This part of the shop is closed off from the public. With as many expensive potions they sell, they keep them here while putting the cheaper potions on display. Eventually, Tiffany stood in from to of a fifteen foot tall mahogany bookcase with shelves upon shelves of labelled and sealed potions. Lucky for her, the potions she needed were on the lower shelves where she could reach. So as she began to gather the three potions, the house cat was toying with one of the potions at the very top. It's claw sunk into the cork and pulled it out with a pop. When it realized there was liquid inside, it jerked away, letting the contents spill out over the side. Tiff heard the sound and curiously looked up only to recieve a face full of liquid. "AHH!!" the startled girl shrieked as she backed up and rammed into the book see behind her. Several dozen bottles toppled over and shattered on the ground, coating the poor girl with several different potions. "Oh no..."

A moment of two after the sound of breaking glass rung through the house, Tiffany stepped back out into the front with the three potions...except her head was glowing a blindingly bright pink, and she seemed even shorter than before. Deer antlers were sprouting from her head, her hair reached down to the floor, feathers were growing from her arms, and it seemed like she was getting ready to float away. She did her best to keep herself anchored. When she opened her mouth, bubbles started to come out. "One fire proofing potion, one elasticizing potion, and one absorption proofing potion" she said in a very deep man's voice. "That will be thirty gold pieces. Would you like a Magic Pop for just two gold pieces more?" The little witch winced as she saw some of the bubbles float into the boy's face.
It's been about fifteen minutes since her older sister left, and she was already bored out of her skull. Venelope wasn't kidding when she said they don't see a lot of customers. The silence began to grow in presence as it amplified the sound of the clock ticking in the other room. Tiffany fidgeted in her seat with anxiously. Something. Anything. She just wanted something to break the silence.

Then, the bell on the door jingled...a customer! Tiff immediately sat up straight. It was a boy, maybe a few years older than herself, with messy brown hair. He says that he's looking for Venelope. Okay. This is it. My big chance to prove to sis that I have what it takes to run the shop she thought to herself. "I'm sorry, but she stepped out for today. That is why I'M taking her place~" she chirped to him and clapped her hands together. "How can I help you?"
After cleaning herself up, Venelope walked back out into the front of the store. Her little sister was standing in the middle of the small room, and she wasn't even ready to greet the day. The little girl was still in her PJ's, and her hair was an absolute mess.

"Morning" Tiffany said through a deep yawn. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes with her overly long sleeves. The other hand was waving back and fourth behind her to magically summon her clothes: a light green summer dress, a pair of matching shoes, and her favorite witch hat. Venelope looked at her sister with a hard stare.

"Tiffy, I know we don't get a lot of business, but you should have been up an hour ago". Venelope watched in envy as the young witch used her magic to float a brush over to fix her mess of hair. Tiffany had always been more magically gifted than her, and when she voiced her complaints with mom, she just said her magic would come eventually.

"Sis, I want to run the shop today!" The little witch interupted her train of thought.

"W-Don't change the subject on me, missy! You need to learn proper work etiquette while you're still young so that it will stick with you". Of course at this point Tiff completely tuned her out. The younger sibling was now dressed up and properly groomed.

"Now sis, you've been working youself to the bone lately. I just want to give you a break from all this so you can enjoy a nice day off" Tiffany ran up to her sister and lept onto her legs to hug her. "I can look after the shop while you're gone. Pumpkin can help too. Won't you pleeeease take the day off?" She looked up at Venelope and gave her a puppy dog pout.

The elder sister could feel her heart ache. She hated it when she did this. One of these days she would stand up for herself and tell Tiffy no...but...today was not that day. Her glasses slipped down a little "W-Well...I suppose there'd be no harm in taking some time off from work. But if something happens, tell me immediately" she told her sister while pushing her glasses up. "Okay?"

"Yay!" Tiffy cheered as she ran off to brush her teeth.
Venelope was putting a few paint brushes and paint tubes inside a small leather brown bag with stretchy yellow arms. Then, she pulled out a large white canvas and pushed it into the bag as well, the item morphing into a smaller shape until it was completely in the bag. After she did the same with an easel, the bag closed itsel and jumped noted her back. It's yellow appendages wrapped around her arms and clung to her like a backpack. "Okay Tiffy, I'm off! Keep a good eye on the shop. And please come get me if something bad happens!" After a quick goodbye, she left the store and walked through the marketplace. She hasn't painted in a while, so this would be exciting.
"That's funny...I was thinking about the same thing" Patty said with mild curiosity. She decided to walk alongside this girl to school because why not? As they walked, the blue haired athlete decided she should try to start a conversation. "My name's Patty. What's yours, stranger?" She just had to hope her stomach didn't interrupt their conversation with its demand for food, because that might be embarrassing.
"Ooooogh..." Patty had to carefully undo her arms so that the rabbit could ease his way out of her grip. She carefully hoisted herself up onto her knees as she took a few deep breaths. That's when she noticed the other person hovering closer to her, the scent of oranges flooding her nostrils. It was a chore to not drool at the mouth in hunger, but Patty managed to control herself. "I'm alright. No damage done". Of course she was a little shaken up about almost dying to save the life of an animal, but she was sure that the feeling would die out later. Now, her eyes drifted down to meet with the rabbit's. "Okay you. Go on now. And don't you go running out into the streets anymore".

The rabbit's nose twitched some before hopping along into the hedges and disappearing from view. Patty pushed herself onto her feet, and finally got a good look at the girl who was concerning about her. That's when she recognized her as the girl who she would see every time she went to school. The silvery hair is what gave it away. But...she didn't actually know anything about this wispy looking person. as far as she knew, the two of them never actually talked to each other. So as Patty brushed off the dirt cumulating on her shirt, she reached down to offer the worried girl a hand.

"That's some way for me to start the morning" she chuckled nervously.
It was a brand new day, and Patty was running out of the house to get to school. She was making good time all things considered. She adjusted her slightly heavy backpack so she could be comfortable as she jogged her way to school. About halfway to her destination, she just realized that she ran out of her home without eating any breakfast, AND she forgot to get her lunch.

"Oooh...perfect". She held her head low as she slowed down a little to a casual stroll. She wasn't going to be late if she kept moving, but her attendance was the last thing on her mind right now. Her stomach let out a low gurgle in protest for how much food it didn't have right now. "Shut up stomach" Patty said nonchalantly to herself. To get her mind off of that, she observed how beautiful today was. It was the perfect weather for running, and Patty would eagerly look forward to PE today. As she kept walking, however, she ran into a curious sight: a snow white rabbit was hopping out of the hedges and onto the sidewalk. It looked at the girl with curious eyes.

"Aww, aren't you just the cutest thing?" Patty wouldn't call herself an animal person, but that didn't mean she couldn't stop to appreciate something cute when she saw it. The rabbit then hopped out into the open road to get to the other side...except a large semi-truck was heading it's way and threatening to run it over. "Oh crap!!" she shouted. Then, without thinking, she ran into the street, scooped the rabbit up into her arms, and dove to the other side of the street. The threatening truck honked its horn as it blazed past the two. Now, Patty was laying on the side walk as the adrenaline coursed through her body. "Huff...huff....you're...you're welcome, rabbit...huff".

"Okay. Little Tiffy's still asleep, and I've got the whole shop set up..." Venelope thought to herself as she overlooked the potions lining up all of her shelves. She took a bite of her over-easy eggs while reading the daily newspaper. Of course there was news about this strange epidemic. That's all anyone seemed to talk about anymore. She slowly chewed on her smoked bacon as she thought about how this might help her business. Of course she wasn't a doctor, but she did stock potions that are what amount to cheap painkillers. This store didn't see a lot of customers, and she could use all the help she can get. Maybe it has something to do with people not knowing much anything about this place. It would seem the next item on Venelope's to-do-list is to get some better advertising. Maybe Tiffany could help her with that. She reached out to get her cup of coffee, but she reached too far and accidentally sent her cup falling over the counter and hitting the floor with a crash. "Oh no!!" the surprised girl quickly scuttled over to see the damage. That was her favorite cup too...oh well. She got the broom and dustpan to clean up the mess, then wiped the liquid up with a rag. Now that the spilt coffee was taken care of, the realization hit her that she should have been open ten minutes ago. So now she walked over to the door, unlocked it, turned the sign to say "open", and walked back to her counter to eat the rest of her breakfast...or at least that's what she wanted to do until she tripped on the broom and landed face first in her plate of food. Slowly lifting her face from the plate, eggs and bacon smooshed around her cheeks and in her hair, she took a deep breath and slowly walked to the bathroom to clean herself up.
