Aya was relieved that the focus of Elauna was on Destin now. She had no idea how the girl was going to react to Destin's plea, but she hoped that it would work. At least Jayden seemed to be on their side. Still, she could hardly see someone like this willingly taking the vacant spot of the healer.

Elauna raises an eyebrow. "So wait. You're the kid Aya said was leaving the broms???" She shoots a glare at Aya, before crossing her arms at Destin. "So what. You're going to join the Rabins to be with this girl?? Are you two dating? If I had half a right mind, I'd inform Fabine of this treason and let him kill you both." She scoffs and looks at Jayden. "Do you think we should just let the boy leave?"
Liwei's tan head cocked to the side in a motion of thought. He was still for a moment - then, with a shrug and a raise of his brows, he looked back at Ambrose. "That sounds doable, actually. So, we just swoop in and grab the girl? What if the doctors don't buy it?"

Ambrose shrugs. "You're the Boss guy's right hand man? They have to believe you, right? In some sense, I'm sure they listen to you, even if you deny that..." He ponders that for a moment. "Okay. So I'll go to the kitchen, start the fire, which will set off the alarms. When that happens, you two go to the scientists and get Misha from them, while I run out of the kitchen, heading down the hall, leading as many people away from you as possible...You two get Misha out safely."

"Let's do it," Liwei said, straightening his spine to mime an air of confidence. "We could grab the cooking oil, pour it over the stove.. Oh, we'll figure it out." He grinned at her, then turned back to the boy. "We should probably find a plan B, though. Someone needs to stay behind and help the others if something goes wrong."

Ambrose frowns. "I'm saving my friend for sure. You two can go start the fire..." He bites his lip. "Or you should save her, making some excuse about being stronger and faster than the scientists..." He grins. "I got it! I could make the fire because I escaped from my room. And I'd lead anyone who is trying to catch me, down the hall away from you! Two panicking attacks at once!"
<Snipped quote by Fionraella>

Liwei sighed, tempted to move his hand to the boy's shoulder in a sign of comfort but wary of startling him. "We only have two active subjects. They would know." His face contorted in deep thought. "We could... hm. Do you think we could trip the alarms and make the scientists evacuate?" He looked back at Mona. "Would that work?"

Mona listens to their conversation, then blinks a bit in surprise at his question. "No. Those alarms are foolproof. The only way they actually work is to start a fire or earthquake..." She ponders that. "If we started a small fire in the kitchen, there'd be enough time to get to your friend as they evacuate and slip out midst the chaos...but we'd have to be as fast as possible. The cooks know how to put out fires quickly."
@Fionraella Liwei shook his head. "What's the point of getting all of us killed?" He closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh to maintain himself. "Listen - they were looking for a pair of shifters with different chromosomes to start off the control group tests. I guess we could tell them The Boss changed his mind, but the lead scientist is pretty bureaucratic.."

Ambrose's face fell. "Oh..." He mutters, the reality of what they knew, clicking. He sighs heavily. "I don't want us all to get killed, of course not, but I can't sit by and let a fellow shifter be killed..." He looks at Liwei painfully. "Do they recognize me? Like do they know what I look like? If not, my idea could still work!"
<Snipped quote by Fionraella>

Liwei stroked his chin. "Mm.. Not sure if that would work." He furrowed his blows. "The scientists have been briefed that you aren't part of the main trials anymore. If we aren't careful, they'll start to suspect.." He glanced back at Mona with a suppressed shiver. They were playing a dangerous role, and neither of them were armed and prepared for a fight. "We really need to think this over." And we have to do it fast, otherwise that poor girl is going to get hurt.

Ambrose frowns in confusion. "Why am I not part of the main trials? I don't understand. Am I sick or something?" He looks at Mona warily before back at Liwei. "If we don't go save her, something bad is going to happen, and I will always blame you!" He snaps, getting angry at this point. "Planning gets nowhere, we need to go now!"
Jayden breathes in deeply, and composes himself for what he was about to do. It was always a battle trying to interact with her, and this would be even worse. The two feline shifters broke the treeline and approached their group mates. "Elauna, Destin has something he wants to tell you. So do I." He spoke clearly and firmly. He stood in front of Destin protectively in case she got violent. "Destin?"

Elauna turns to face them, scoffing a bit. "Gee Jayden, you think I'm going hurt the kid or something?" She demands, rollng her eyes as she looks down at Destin. "Well Destin?" She asks.

Destin gulps. "I...I'm leaving the Brom group Elaune and I want you to be the Brom healer to replace me, because you're a fast learner, and you're very smart and you know stuff..." He kicks at the ground. "This is my idea, no one else's so don't punish Jayden or Aya because they happened to know before you."
"If you think you know so little, I'd be willing to help you." Aya offers her best smile to the Elauna, which was quite an effort for her with this personality. "Besides, it's not my right to tell you why your healer is leaving. That's his choice. I'm not your group member. Really, I didn't have to say anything about this to you but I care about the people in your group." she does her best to seem strong to the older girl.

Elauna laughs sharply. "And meet secretly with a Brom in such a forbidden manner? No thank you." She says curtly. "Though, if you have knowledge about his leaving, as a member of the opposite group, you don't have any reason not tell me. You're, in a way, leading me to believe that you're causing him to leave, which would be in violation of any truce between the groups for the winter. And as such, I can take you hostage and use you as a bargaining chip. For breaking said truce."
"Well, I'm just saying you seem proud of that archery power. I'm sure you like it for the power it has. Medical knowledge is no different. Healers do tend to use it for life, but I'm just saying how easily the opposite is done if you wish." Aya explained walking over to one of the arrows and adding it to the one she was holding already. "If you want to do what's best for your group, a group which already has many skilled fighters, wouldn't taking up the role of a healer be the right thing?"

Elauna scoffs. "If I wanted to do what was best for my group, I wouldn't give them a healer who knew shit about healing." She watches Aya grab her arrows but doesn't comment. She mentally counts how many she had left, seven, wondering what the girl wanted her arrows for. She then rolls her eyes a bit. "Don't talk to me about wanting what's best for my group, when you won't even discuss my healer who you've decided is leaving his group."

Jayden shrugs off Destin's apology. "Don't sweat it," He mutters as they near the two girls. He could hear the water rushing as they got closer. I suppose... no, I can't do that. Can I? I could blackmail Elauna. She might take it. He thinks to himself as he plots out what he'll do to ensure Destin can leave with Aya.

Destin's ears flick as he hears angry voices just lower than the sound of the river. He exhales in anticipation. It was unlikely Eluana would let him leave with Aya, but maybe Jayden could help... Destin was always bad at convincing people to let him do stuff. Hang out at the Rabins, cross the river, see Aya... He frowns, none of those things sounded like very good Brom-y things to do.
