Brianna struggles to pull him along as he hinders their progress. "Call me all the names you want, Ambrose. You'll still be the one in chains." She flinches as Ambrose kicks at her legs and in response offers him a sharp kick to the shins with the heel of one of her shoes. She frowns at the difficulty she's having bringing him along and looks at Hunter with annoyance. "Can't a lady get any help here?"

Ambrose winces as she kicks his shin. He scowls at Hunter. "Two people to deal with one kid, man I wonder how you got the job!" He swings his leg a bit, wondering if he should go ahead and kick Hunter, but decides against it. He pulls at his arms instead, hoping he could wiggle free, but finds it impossible. He scowls at them. "Let me go!"

Vera turned back to face him and defended herself firmly. "It's my decision that an attack party isn't the way to do this. Only one or two Broms are necessary for this mission; it'd be much easier to use stealth rather than force." She paused for a long moment. She used a softer voice as she continued. "I just need to recruit one other Brom and then I'm ready."

Fabine shrugs in response. "Take someone I wouldn't expect you to pick." He grins, a bit interested in her plan. "I'm curious what you're planning to do." He brushes his hands off and gets to his feet.

Vera's eyes widened slightly, then she gritted her teeth. "Fine. I'll do it." She stood up and pulled her bow over he shoulder. She took a few steps towards the camp exit, but then chuckled slightly and glanced over her shoulder at him. "It must be fun to be you," she commented before turning back towards the exit.

Fabine groans. "I didn't say right now you idiot." He finishes his squirrel. "And I didn't say that you had to do it alone. Seriously Vera, already failing. A second takes time and energy into consideration. As well as the situation. Answer me this, does that make sense, running off on your own."
Jayden laughs shortly and turns to her. "And I care about that why? Poor you, having to heal people." He continues walking ahead of her. "I can handle myself believe it or not. I practically live in the forest anyways."

Hunter smirks slightly at the way Ambrose was acting. The shifter was definitely nervous as they prepared to move him. "You sure you want to me smart with that mouth of yours?" He questions, fully prepared to hit Ambrose if it came to it.

Elauna can't help but allow a small flicker of pain cross her eyes. "Jayden, was the murder the only reason you broke up with me?" She asks, stopping in her tracks as she watches him. "You act like you're okay with us being group mates, but you don't want to be friends..."
Ambrose's words itched under Brianna's skin and for a moment she was tempted to slap him but she resisted. She would not have a subject make a mockery of her in front of a fellow scientist. "I'd be careful with those lips. Plenty of cells we can get from them, and you really don't need them on your face to continue living. Oh, but you'll play nice for us, won't you?" Her voice was low and dangerous. She took hold of the connection part of Ambrose's handcuffs and used it to direct him out of the cage by pulling him along.

Ambrose ignores the threat as he glares at her. "i'll play as nice as I see fit Brianna bitch." He pulls at his handcuffs and digs in his heels, determined to slow their progress as much as he can. He glances at Hunter. "I'm just a smart guy, I'm not sure what you're problem is. I'm not doing anything wrong." He shrugs innocently, as he tries to kick Brianna's legs out from under her.

Vera narrows her eyes. "I'm not trying to irritate you here, Fabine. That wouldn't do me any good, now would it?" she pointed out with a sigh. Her eyes narrowed even further at the challenge, and she smirked. "A second would need to be ready for anything." Her smile disappeared. "I really want this, Fabine. So, try me."

Fabine ponders this. He smirks. "I have a fun challenging task for you." He shrugs his shoulders and tears into his squirrel. "The Rabins have taken two of our own. If you can manage to rescue them from the Rabin camp, you'll be my new second. And if you fail, I'm appointing Jayden as my second, no questions asked."
"The best costume." He snorts, having no part in Ambrose's sarcasm. "We'll need to get you nice and prepared, Ambrose." Hunter then nods to Brianna's comments and readies himself for the next group of acivities. "You're going to have a wonderful time!"

Jayden shrugs. "I don't see this as unreasonable. I'm not cutting your hands off or making you do nasty things." He could feel her frustration as they walked back to camp. "You can be as irritated with me as you want. I don't care anymore. But you don't hold any power over me, and you're going to do this." Jayden looks down at her.

"Excuse me? If I take this healer gig, I will have power over you. In case you haven't noticed, healers trump whatever the hell you are." Elauna crosses her arms at him. "I'm not healing you, by the way. I don't want to see your smug little face inside my NEW Bigger and better tent. Just because you're upset at me, doesn't mean yo uget to reap the benefits of my new position."
"Yes, I agree." Brianna nods to Hunter and removes the key to the cage from her pocket. "An area such as this is certainly no place to be experimenting on a subject. We'll take him across the hall and hook him up to the brain wave monitoring machine. When I saw the results of the last shifter we did this with," she sighed happily, "it was like a symphony on the page! Shifters really do have incredible brain patterns. She leans in to Hunter again. "The Boss has insisted that we call the subject by his real name Ambrose rather than Subject 10. I'm sure you of all people will know how to make good use of that, yes?" She stepped away and clicked the key into the lock. "Ambrose! Oh my, I am excited about the adventures the three of us are about to have." She spoke venomously to him.

Ambrose glares at her. "Hello Brianna bitch. How nice to see you again!" He puckers his lips at her. "Do you want another kiss my dear? I guess the last one wasn't enough for you." He then winks at Hunter. "What about you? You're not my type, but my kisses are free!" He then laughs heartily. He twists his arms a bit, trying to pry his hands free. He looks at Brianna with as much spite as he can. "I'm not going to break." He says firmly.

"Yes," Vera defends stubbornly. "That is what I'm saying. And I'm not here to accuse you or anything, because I get that taking an unqualified second-in-command would be almost as bad as none at all." She paused. "But I think that taking me into that position would make us stronger."

Fabine turns his squirrel slowly. "I see. So you came here with a huge speech about how weak we are without a second-in-command, then ask for the job yourself. Did you intend to make me angry? Is that the idea? Push my buttons until I cave to letting you be the second?" He scoffs and pulls his squirrel off the fire, checking it for any uncooked portions. "I'd only make you my second if you could prove to me that you deserve the job."
"Very well. I'm sure we cab arrange that." Hunter straightened his back as she entered the room and addressed him. He glances over to Ambrose. "Nothing to be excited about on your end. You're going to miss those shackles by the end of it." He replies shortly, turning his attention back to Brianna. "First steps is to get him ready for the ordeal."

Jayden shrugs. "If I must, in order for you to taks the job seriously. You'll learn quick if you're as good with herbs as a bow. You can do it." He follows her after a moment and waits for her reply. "This is for the best."

"Get me ready, huh. Do I get to wear a fun costume?" Ambrose asks, not wanting to feel left out of the conversation, but also trying to hide his fear. He pulls lightly at the handcuffs. He gulps nervously, hoping they weren't actually going to kill him. He hoped Dione was doing well, and wasn't missing him too much. He watches the two scientists warily.

Elauna shrugs as well. "Yeah well." She then scoffs. "Memorization is a whole other ball game than making and shooting arrows Jayden. But I guess you're so angry with me that you just want me to do whatever the hell you want." She gives him a short glare.
