2 General Ideas, one interest check.

Alright, first off, thanks for viewing! These are two ideas I've been swirling around in my head lately, and I was wondering if either of them sounded interesting to any of you!

Idea 1: uh, I can't think of a solid title for this.

The basic premise of idea one, is a small group, modern setting roleplay that takes place in a city, can be vague, or could be a specific city, it doesn't matter. Basically, the group would play as a group of normal civilians, maybe a cop or two, whatever, or maybe just a small group of friends that all have the occupation. It's just a normal day in the city, another dull workday, when it happens: A terrorist attack ravages that specific part of the city, or maybe a large part of the city, and the roleplay centers on these friends trying to survive in this hectic environment. The slight catch is that these characters are going to die. The characters might not expect it, but they will die, and as they die, the group will have to deal with the losses, their hidden feelings and other conflicts all while trying vainly to survive the attack. Above this, I don't really have any details figured out.

Idea 2: Gaia Reclamation

This is a sci-fi roleplay set in the distant future, which could be both small or large group. At the time of the roleplay, humanity is living on it's own little cluster of planets. Weather it's utopia or not, I haven't decided. The premise with this one is that, collectively, either by choice or force, Humanity has given Earth to another intelligent race for it's own purposes, and now that the race has finished its business on earth, it's Humanity's turn to reclaim it as theirs. We will roleplay as the expeditionary force tasked with reclaiming it. Soldiers, doctors, farmers, and many other walks of life are going to be in the fray, all working together to face what ever alien flora and fauna have been left over, and to rebuild it's infrastructure to make earth liveable. What sort of horrors and hardships await them?

PROJECT INERTIA

The premise would be easier to buy into if it wasn't such a massive thing done by the government, since I can't picture any way that the actions described here wouldn't result in civil wars around the globe that could only end with the governments who did this being dissolved. If the initial time-lock happened after humanity was already colonizing space, then a rogue faction could have abducted colonists from a wide variety of places, or even colony ships which would be written off as the victim of disaster but with their actual fates unknown.

As the premise stands now, there would be too much dissent, including among those that the governments would be relying on to try and keep the peace. Short of having an army of literally brainwashed enforcers, they would be overthrown by everyone, including the very people they would be counting on to quell dissent.

PROJECT INERTIA

There is news spreading among the many provinces of the galaxy. Many doubt its veracity, but just as many claim it as fact. There have been cover-ups, clean-outs and very little transparency, but now, the truth will finally reveal itself. The subjects of PROJECT INERTIA are set to be released from their stasis, and brought into the modern world.

Exactly 3030 years ago, roughly 10,000 citizens of the United States, France, Great Britain, South Korea and Germany were completely frozen in time, roughly 2000 in each country. There were no warnings, there was no press. The government deployed very special devices in small towns, devices that were each specifically set to bring a large, impenetrable field of time halting stasis to these towns, stopping time, quite literally, in its tracks. No aging, no decomposing, no movement. Simply time frozen in place.

The initial reactions to this experiment were met with worldwide condemnation, backlash, and near revolution. The governments of the involved countries were met with huge protests and demands to end the experiment prematurely and release the subjects of the project that had been taken without consent. The political and social ramifications were immense, with multiple revolts and uprisings taking place, with the sites of the stasis being attacked time and time again, only for the government to repel each one.

Now, in hindsight, what used to be considered wars that took years to end and quell, are now viewed as simple skirmishes that are insignificant in the eyes of time. After so many generations have come and gone, the mere idea of PROJECT INERTIA seems almost like a fairy tale, some thinking it of some hoax made to rile anarchist feelings in the people of the Interstellar Age, with some thinking it so insignificant in the scope of time that it no longer matters whether it is true or not. But the resounding majority still believe, with quite a few of them maintaining the protest of yester millenia.

Regardless of the conspiracy theorists and skeptics, PROJECT INERTIA has finally come to its moment of fruition, the subjects are ready to be released. Many scientists doubt that the subjects will even be able to live or breathe on Earth, which in time has been more or less completely transformed by advances in technology and human discoveries. Some believe that culture shock and cases of extreme depression will take the lives of those who are frozen, many of them basically being stripped of everything from their former life.

You are a member of Section One, the most promising of all sections. Your section had, technically, the most diverse sample of human life from the 21st century. Luckily enough, this Section, and 2 others, fell under the control of the H.C.O.P, or Human Coalition Of Peace, and will have mostly a free lease on life, should they accept it. Its their choice now, will PROJECT INERTIA be all for nothing, of will it gain merit beyond all human experiments before it?

Well, there it is. IF enough interest is garnered, I'll have to do quite a bit more work with world building and back story, but I just wanted to get the idea out and fish for interest before I put too much time into it.

EDIT: For those wondering, the people were put into stasis in 2020, 3030 years later makes the current year 5050.
