BUMP! Probably the last one before the OOC.

Attached is the CS, which I'll be using. It's quite long, but far from the longest I've seen, and is so because I find and have been told that it's more helpful since this a story heavy on characterization. Since I've yet to decide on what kind of team I caution you to create a full blown character, but at least you have an idea on what you need to come up with.

I haven't written anything yet, but I will I swear. :(
Thanks for showing your interest. I do hope you join though. :)
BUMP! Here's the Sample characters for the failures

Sample Characters:

    "Failure"
  • 24 | Male | He is a trained rock climber and volunteer fireman hailing from southern United States. He is a very charming man, sweet, kind, and the leader type. He is young, adventurous, and deeply religious. His late father was a pastor and his mother ran a bible study. They lived a fairly middle class life, happy and pretty boring. For all that he is worth he is inexperienced with people who lived a vastly different lifestyle, he’s uncomfortable around strangers, and severely close minded when it comes to those who are outwardly different from him.
  • 18 | Female | She is a geek and proud of it. Her interest are almost always accessible through the net. She’s friendly, cheerful, and knowledgeable, but these traits are just as bad because she can be immature, loud, and a little bit bossy. Her many, short lived interest and passions have allowed her to accumulate knowledge about the many interesting factoids and knowledge’s about concepts, and cultures from around the world. In spite of this she has never really left her room and afraid to do so.
  • 17 | Male | He’s a gigantic nerd, a weaboo, a total geek who’s been unlucky enough that someone like him who possesses his interest and talents are unwelcome in the highly conventional and traditional small town in middle of nowhere, mostly white, American town. His family are supportive, but even they don’t really understand them. In spite of this he manages to be optimistic and uses his many nerdy hobbies to keep himself busy such as making his own costume and the associated props.
  • 13 | Female | She’s a little girl, cooperative and well meaning. She doesn’t really have a lot of talents per say, but she’s always been good at reading people and situations, sometimes it borders on the supernatural. Her instincts are never wrong and they’ve helped her survive in a family that constantly abuses her. They never mean to hurt her, but they do by ignoring her, pretending she doesn’t exist. She wonders why she was born.

I'll be posting the OOC before or during the weekend, hopefully y'all still there.
I'll be making a post to move Chris's storyline, but probably won't get to it until Thursday night. It's Tuesday night here now.
@babbysama The Elites are indeed more challenging to write especially because they come from such special backgrounds, and because of the skill set that they come with, which us as the writers will have to be able to realistically interpret.

One of the reasons I tended to favor the "Failure" group was because of the inherent drama that they bring to the fold once they come in contact with other teams and once they're told they're "Failures". Another reason I found them to be interesting was because of how vastly different they all tended to be. The Elites pretty much come from similar backgrounds, but the "Failures" not so much. Case in point are two characters I played before, one was a male who came from a rich military family, but was labeled as the black sheep because he was a former drug addict which his family still holds against him even though he had reformed. I paired him with a poor girl who dreamed big, but comes from the wrong neighborhood, in spite of this she is very smart and was on her way to get a scholarship for university and get out her hole life. The "Failure" group comes with character variety, but the "Elites" come with more drama. Also when i did this previously I had to play multiple characters and playing as members of the "Failure" group was easier since they required less research.

In any event we have two for the Elites @Eschatologist and you @babbysama.

As for your character babby, with regards to the disease it depends on what it is. I'd normally say no, but the one way I could see it happening is if he/she could have a rare disease of some sort, but those who ran the program decided to have him/her anyway becuase they were too good of a candidate. The disease must be something that doesn't hinder him/her from some living and they doesn't require any sort of medication, aid, and help whatsoever to live and survive then it's fine.
BUMP | Here's the sample characters for the Elite type characters. I'll have the "Failures" sometime tomorrow. As for the OOC I'll get to that in a few days.

Sample Characters:

    "Elite"
  • 22 | Female | She is a sharp tongued young woman with a very uptight personality. She's emotionally defensive and keeps to herself. Her family comes from old money with strong political influences. She grew up in Washington, but is currently double majoring in English Literature and Art History. She could have easily paid for her own tuition or used the family money, but she got in because of a fencing scholarship for which she has gotten several notifications for. She's a high class power lady with a big future ahead of her, but doesn't have any friends and an overachiever who's in dire need of a rest. She seeks gratitude from authority and takes comfort in pre-established rules.
  • 19 | Male | He is a soft spoken young man with an easy going personality. Friendly and kind albeit a bit too comfortable just folliwng orders and being in the background. He's from Milwaukee, but has been to numerous places around world because of national and international martial arts competition, namely Judo, which he is considered to be have Olympic level skill. His father a martial artist like him has been very hard on him especially because of his weak spirit creating a rough bond between the two. He's nice and sweet, but he's too much of a follower and sheep. He's a pushover and doesn't stand up for what he believes in fearing that he'll ruin the status quo.
  • 17 | Female | She is a gentle spirit that blends in the crowd, but stand out because of her beauty. She is a small town girl who has already built a small fashion empire from the ground up by being cut throat and having a keen fashion sense. She can design, make, and model her own clothes. She was born in a small town in North Carolina, but now lives in New York where she relocated her entire family using the money she made by selling the clothes she makes online. She's surprisingly cut throat and aggressive for someone with a gentle face. She's a little selfish when she wants to, but she will do nothing to get what she wants even at the cost of other people even though it's for their benefit.
  • 13 | Male | He is a bonafide genius possessing an eidetic memory. He is a Chess Grand-master and a member of MENSA. For all the knowledge he has in his head he doesn't know what to do with it. His pride in himself borders on entitlement and arrogance. He has a very spoiled life especially once he realized that people wondered at him. He spent his days idling by and consuming knowledge without any idea on what to do with his life, a symptom of his youth. He is smart through his books, but any real life human experience to make use of it all.

I'd post the CS, but I've yet to finish it and we still need to decide on what kind of group to make.
I added a rough image of what the US looks like now. The black represents water, and the green represent land.
Once in the actual RP I will provide better descriptions of what each arc area looks like. In no way will it resemble what we know of today primarily because of the drastic geographical changes, and the unstable weather.
@iSuspect Yes, but it wasn't meant to be a interaction just a sort of momentary share or something.
Glad to have your Interest.

I updated the first post to include more information on the characters. Please read through it properly to understand what kind of characters they may be. I'll eventually have sample characters and information on the setting.
Also If possible I'd like to know which kind of team you would like to play, the Elites or the Failures?

@Melkor That RTAA tho. I love it.
