Current @Potemking: I feel as though you may have a masochistic compulsion. I've broken many a controller over Soulsborne games.

Redguards are technically the Arabians of Tamriel, so wouldn't shouting "Haji" make more sense? No disrespect to my Muslim buddies out there, just sayin'.

[2] It can also be effective in subverting the person's expectations. Take for instance Spec Ops: The Line. Looks like a boring military shooter, but is actually a grim look into the horrors of war.

[1]The 'cover' is meant to entice the person into partaking of the medium, just as an album cover would intrigue someone into listening to the music.

Full Name: Saeras Greywulf
Nickname: (None)
Age: 25 Winters Old

Height: 5'4"
Weight: 142 lbs
Hair Color and Style: Long, braided brown hair

Other Appearance Traits:
Saeras is of average shape and breast size with a slight hourglass curve to her figure. Her crystaline eyes are accented by her dark war paint on her face, as is customary in her village when a child comes of age to be a hunter. She has two claw marks on her left cheek from where a bear had attacked her while she was hunting and another on her thigh from when she fell from a cliff and skewered her leg on a sharp branch.

Saeras wears little to no armor either, as she prefers mobility over protection. If she must, she wears a cuirass made of boiled, hardened leather and fur, fur lined leather armbands and greaves to protect her shins. All this is usually worn over a hooded forest green tunic with a dark brown long sleeved shirt and leggings underneath.

Skills and Abilities:

-Maksmanship: Years of hunting and defending her village from hostile tribes has made Saeras into an efficient and deadly archer. She could pin a bird by its wing from yards away, but that's not to say sometimes she does miss her mark. Even so, she has the eyes of an eagle and can swiftly deliver an arrow down range.

-Stealth: When hunting their prey, one must be as the predator. Saeras has learned over the years to move quietly and to be unseen. She is proficient in stalking her prey and using both shadow and natural foliage to her advantage. These skills also came in handy for ambushing enemies in the forest.

-Tracking: As any hunter, Saeras can track her prey easily by any sign they leave, whether it be footprints, broken branches, sound, smell, etc.

Disabilities:

-Uneducated: Growing up solely among her tribe, Saeras does not speak nor understand any other language than her own. She also cannot read or write.

-Unprotected: Wearing virtually no armor at all means she is more vulnerable to any attack. Hence she prefers to take enemies by surprise than face them head on.

Hobbies:

-Cooking: Well you can't just eat venison raw. Saeras will admit it is more out of survival than recreation, but she does enjoy it. The smell of roasted venison and vegetables simmering in a hearty pot of stew warms her soul and brings her solace when she is troubled.

-Music: On nights when she was alone in the forest, her ocarina kept her company. She would play a tune upon it to keep her mind at ease and not go crazy from either the frigid cold or the lack of human companionship, as hunting tended to take her miles away from her home.

Saeras hails from the far north from a tribe of hunters and gatherers who lived in the snowy pine forests. Her mother was frail and weak when she gave birth. It was no surprise to any she would die. Her father was left then to raise her. One of the village's hunters, he trained his daughter in the ways of the predator. He taught her how to draw a bow and make every arrow count and how to stalk her prey and become a ghost in the wild. He was a harsh but fair teacher, and under his wing Saeras grew to be a hunter herself.

Life was hard in the north. Food was often scarce, and if the bitter cold or hungry predators didn't kill you, the other tribes would. Saeras' tribe had been involved in many bloody conflicts over the years. The surrounding tribes often attacked them, trying to wrestle their territory. By her early teens, Saeras had killed both man and beast. She was not adept in the way of sword or axe as her other tribesmen, but her bow saved her life countless times on the battlefields of bloodstained snow, as did her knowledge of camouflage.

A few winters had passed, taking her father along with them. Years of conflict and bloodshed had left its mark on her people. Slowly, her tribe was dying. It seemed each day that passed, a loved one had to be buried. The constant warfare had driven away the animals of the forest, their only source of food during the hard snowy season, and left the trees barren of their ripened fruits. Saeras knew these were the end days of her tribe, and rather than endure the pain of seeing her people wither away...she simply left...with hopes of one day bringing an end to her people's suffering.

Years went on. She had traveled the land far and wide, with only her bow and her ocarina. She had seen how other people had prospered and were fruitful. In short, it made her envious and mournful of her tribe's stubborn will. She knew they would refuse to move. It was the land of their ancestors, the forest and the mountains, but the land was barren now and gave nothing to them.

It was upon standing on a hill overlooking a flourishing hamlet...that Saeras wept. She wept for her people, who she knew when she returned...would no longer be there... It was not the cold nor the starving that brought them to an end...but their own foolishness.

There was no point in returning, and so, she tarried down the hill and began life anew.
@MissCapnCrunch I love her already!

>> TFW Your family wants YOU to make the Christmas dinner this year. I can barely afford fucking Spam!

@Drakey To be fair on this, I would rather go by permadeath. After your character dies, you can create another one.
Why should I have to get you anything, you self entitled piece of...

"Oh...yaaay. Homework. Yippee." Harley's reply was more or less lackluster. Yes, she was all for hanging out with Nat, but she knew next to nothing about chemistry, or why she had to study it. It's not like she was gonna make some groundbreaking discovery in the world or science, or build the world's first atomic alarm clock or something. Man, that sounds like something in Fallout! She giggled in her mind. Well...I could use some help with homework, and Natalia's a dadgum genius compared to me... Yeah, why not!

"Well...alright then, partner! Let's get going!" She gave a bright smile as she took Natalia's hand.

"Oh, and what about that little girl you were talking with in the hallway at school?"

"Amelia? What about her?"

"Don't you think she could use a friend?"

"Y-yeah, but...she's already got one, and she's a total bitch."

"Well, why don't you be her friend too? She could use a friend like you."

"Pft! Yeah, whatever. A druggie with anger issues. Perfect friend material."

Why...? Why does she need a friend like me? Why...mom?

"Yeah, that would uh...that would be cool, Amelia. See ya around. Oh and...hope your cousin gets well. Bye..."

Waving goodbye to the nerdy girl, Helena stood there in the school parking lot, watching as their expensive car drove away. She sighed, lowering her head to the pavement beneath her feet, lost in thought.

She's got money, and that nanny of hers... I don't know why she would want a friend like me.

"Shit!" Suddenly she jumped, feeling a hand pat her on the shoulder.

Mr. Felton stepped backwards with a light chuckle, "Whoa! Sorry there, Helena. I didn't mean to startle you. Is everything okay?"

"Um...yeah." Helena answered with a whisper. "Everything's cool, Lou. What's up?"

Louis's brow furrowed. "Well, I was hoping we could talk. You haven't been showing up to class lately, and the teachers and I are worried about you."

"Pft! Please..." Helena scoffed rolling her eyes. "Half the fucking school's probably happy I'm ditching. Like they ever wanted to put up with me. Who cares?"

"We do, Helena." Felton answered sincerely with a serious look towards her. "As do some of the students. Jason has been wondering about-"

"Jason?" Helena cut in, her voice a tad higher than before...and a tad angrier. Her eyes narrowed at Louis. "Now I know you're lying!"

"Okay, okay..." Sensing her hostility, Louis held up his hands in defense. "I'm guessing you and Jason are on...uneven water right now, but he did ask where you were."

"Whatever..." Helena grumbled as she passed up Felton to grab her board nearby. Throwing it down on the ground, she set her foot on it, her eyes turned toward the empty street and away from the old hipster. "I'll believe it when I see it. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go home and medicate." She pushed her foot off the pavement and started skating away.

"Helena wait!" Mr. Felton called after her. Helena stopped and turned around. He resumed with a concerned look in his eyes, "Listen... If you ever need to talk about anything, I mean anything. It doesn't even have to be school related. I'm always here." Warmly he smiled.

"Uh...ok. Thanks, Lou." Helena replied softly. "Hey, just wondering though. Who was that you were on the phone with earlier."

Felton's smile faded. He sighed rubbing the back of his head, "That was uh... That was my brother. He's...well...for lack of a better word, he's into some bad shit right now." He paused a moment to grin. "Sorry you had to hear a teacher curse."

Helena shrugged returning the grin, "What? Like I ain't got the mouth of a sailor?"

"Heh...true." Louis chuckled, but again he frowned. "I'm just hoping maybe I can pull him out of it, but he's getting too erratic. He even threatened Sarah, which I won't put up with." He sighed deeply. "If I have to...I'll just have to let the cops deal with him. I don't like it, but he needs to learn..."

"Well..." Helena patted him on the shoulder. "You just do what you have to, brah. I really hope this guy doesn't decide to come after you. I mean you are the only cool teacher around here." She smiled softly at him.

Louis returned the smile. "Thanks, Helena. Frankly I'm more worried about my wife and son than I am me. Anyways, I should probably get back to the classroom. I'll be looking for you tomorrow if you don't show up, okay?" He grinned.

Helena laughed hopping back on her board, "Yeah yeah. I'll be there. Take it easy, Lou. Bye." She skated away, out of the parking lot and down the sidewalk. As she rolled along though, she decided to grab her phone and jam to some music....only to find she had a missed call along with a voucemail.

Shit...this better not be who I think it is...

With a scowl, she brought her board to a halt and listened. Sure enough, it was him.

"Hey, Hel. You remember that money you owed me? I think I got a way you can pay it back. Gimme a call when you get this message."
