Life can be...just wow. Lessons learned from my hiatus: it's ok to be vulnerable with those you care about, the people who love you will always remain in your life and be true to what you want.

Woohoo! All looks good. Looking forward to reading :)
Ok great! I'll get on that.

I'll get some of the biographies up here soon :)
Hi there! Let's cut to the chase, shall we?

About me:
-I've been roleplaying for a long time and consider myself pretty decent. If you'd like to see some of my writing in action, just click on my profile and check out my posts with @The ElvenQueen.
-If you don't feel like doing that, know that I post between three to five paragraphs on average. I'll go super long on some posts if I feel the need. I'd love if my partner could do the same.
-I also LOVE plotting/setting up backstory/world building, so I'd also love it if we can communicate and build something great.
-Naturally following from the previous point, I enjoy OOC, so if you'd like to talk about life, plot stuff, characters, or anything else, I'm game!
-I'm a professor/instructor, which means I'm constantly on my feet, grading, conferencing and other things. I WILL make it a point to try and post once a day. If I can't, I'll try to let you know. Please do bear with me! Real life stuff takes priority. (that also means I don't post on the weekend)
-That also means I'll respect you if you need to take care of real life stuff. If you could let me know before any major disappearance, I'd greatly appreciate it.
-I do PG-13 stuff for the most part.
-I also almost exclusively play males, seeing as I've found it difficult to do the more noble gender justice in my writing.

Alright, so if that didn't scare you off, then check out some of the plots/ideas/pairings I have below. If any catch your interest, shoot me a PM and we can get the ball rolling :)

Note: Everything I have listed is flexible plot-wise.

DC superhero related stuff:

Superman x Supergirl:
Clark and Kara's relationship has gotten a lot of attention lately in media(injustice 2, Supergirl, etc) and I really want to explore their dynamic in depth. This thread would be based on a basic knowledge of Superman and Supergirl, but we then create what we want from there. Ideally I'd like to start with their meeting, then progress into delving into their past and eventually forming up as a team to take down an overarching threat. I don't mind doubling if you'd like to throw some romance to both characters.
<---Taken

OC x OC:
I've got a really soft spot for injecting OC's into established universes, so why not DC? I don't have a TOTALLY fleshed out idea for this, but I've got a feeling it would involve some sort of self-discovery between two people who are going through the throes of realizing that they're different from the rest of the world, born to save people, etc.

In terms of what "version" of the DC universe we're talking about, I'm thinking of a hybrid between Rebirth and New 52 :)

FFXV:
I'd love to do something after...well, the end of the game. Also willing to do some alternative universe stuff. Idea below for AU:

Our characters could be substitutes for two of the guys in Noctics' contingent. I love the three Crownsguard, but I wouldn't mind inserting our characters in place of two of the others(I really like this one, seeing as our characters are in the heart of the action and we'll have the most control over the alternative timeline we're creating)

Metal Gear Solid:
OC x OC:
This would be set AFTER MGS 4 and involves genetic warfare modified from the FOXDIE virus. Our characters would be involved in attempting to find out who's responsible for this new kind of weapon. Will involve spies, guns, Old Snake and a lot of MGS-like twists.

Again, if anything interests you or you think that I could plot with you about one of your ideas, hit me up on PM :)

Close enough indeed! Has it really been a year? Wowzers. Hard to believe that time has flown by that much. Guess that's what happens when you're having fun, right? :p

Ok, great! Should I look for some stock photos for planets that you don't have time to doodle for? Cause I have no artistic ability whatsoever xD

Oh cool! Is that going to be the picture we see on the homepage or will it remain the other one we have now?
Edit: Post up! Short due to the ending of the interlude, but hey, we made it!

So, in terms of the Wiki, maybe we can dedicate all next week to getting that gussied up? I'll work on the characters I introduced and try to get some planetary stuff down as well. Maybe pick up Act III May 1st? That'll give us some time also to make sure our OOC page can have the link to the Wiki as well.

Yay for reaching Act III! :D
Yerbol was left speechless by the appearance of Roan, who seemed to have only gained a higher level of spookiness than when he was in the flesh. The Champion attempted to communicate with him, but after picking his jaw off the ground, Aria called out and asked if anyone was there, which Yerbol couldn't reply to in time. Roan made sure of that when he disappeared, but not before issuing a warning regarding Aria's mother. Yerbol would trust Roan's assessment of his wife's character and assume that whoever could scare Roan was a powerful force to be reckoned with, even from beyond the grave.

When she sat down next to him, she asked if she had seen something.
"What, your dashing husband? Yes, yes it is." A quick jab of humor prompted a smile to crease his features as he slid under the covers while his companion did the same. He listened with a few sympathetic nods and remarks to her story, although the bit about being tighter prompting him to cast a playful glance in her direction.
"I like it when things are tight on you. I think you should know that by now."

After some laughter and snuggling up to each other, Aria made a remark that engendered some thought within his mind.
"It is different now. I mean before we were together, but now we're bound forever. You heard Voldon..." He cleared his throat and lowered it a couple of octaves to impersonate the officiating Elder:
"'Bound together by the Force forever.'" Kissing her cheek as she drew closer, he nodded in appreciation of her comments.
"Wouldn't have it any other way. We're in this together." His eyes began to droop closed, mouth opening wide for a yawn.
"I think we should probably get some sleep. That resort we decided on is a few hours away, so I think I'd like to be coherent enough to handle the controls of our ship." Before he rolled over, a hand grazed Aria's cheek.
"I hope you never get tired of me telling you that I love you. Cause you're going to hear it. A lot." He kissed her tenderly, fingers tracing across her upper back. Upon releasing, he simply told her:
"Tomorrow, we begin forever. I'm looking forward to it."

----End of Interlude------

Oh bless you for the help. I've been trying to get to the keyboard all day, but things are just...ugh. End of the semester is always hectic, but things just seem even crazier than normal.

I'll get you a post and some wiki stuff hopefully tomorrow.
Roche listened to the story with narrowed eyes, his breath coming in much softer attempts than normal. As she neared the conclusion, the Blue Stripes commando placed a hand on her shoulder once she finished. Moments of silence wafted between them, Roche allowing the Witcher to compose herself before he spoke:
"I've seen atrocities like that. They're terrible. Inhumane. I'm sorry you had to go through that." He got down on a knee, hand moving from her shoulder to her knee.
"I promise you that we'll figure this out. No matter what the cost. Those villagers won't have died in vain. Not while I'm drawing breath." Squeezing her knee gently, he took the hat he normally wore over his shortly cropped black hair and placed it on the ground before standing.
"About time I let my hair down like you, eh?" An attempt at humor, a bit better than normal(he thought).
"Let's see what we can figure out from where the body was recovered. Maybe we missed something there."

The Vizima sewers were...well, sewers, but these seemed to be more "sewery" than one's average city cesspool. No matter the stench, Roche was determined to forge through it, leading Eve through the entrance grate and down a couple of passages before arriving at a dead end. On the wall facing them was a massive blood stain, oval in nature that went from six feet from the ground all the way down to the water's edge.
"Found him here. Why on earth would someone be hiding out here unless they were backed into a corner or attempting to find something dropped for them?" He pointed at the walkway opposite of the one they stood on.
"Maybe check on the other side? Commandos might have been in a rush and didn't do a good enough job sweeping the area."
Your call on ghost dad! If you'd like, you can have him appear, then I can post my last bit before Act III, then you close the interlude?
Aria's enthusiastic kiss upon the announcement was matched only by Yerbol's, who picked her up off her feet for a few moments while they shared their first kiss as man and wife, eyes glinting with joy that words couldn't even begin to express as they withdrew. The duo faced the applauding crowd as Yerbol muttered through their bond about dancing:
Oh baby, I know how to dance. Don't you worry.

What Yerbol had neglected to mention was that Tabitha had learned classical dance in her early years from her parents, both of which were avid dance instructors and amateur gymnasts who instilled the love of physical fitness that fueled Tabitha to choose the career of fitness instructor/trainer. When the Champion was young, she taught him the basics, telling him that one day he would thank her profusely for the instruction he didn't like at the time. During he and Aria's first dance together, they gracefully moved across the center of the converted dining hall, prompting a knowing smile from his mother which was returned by the groom with heaping amounts of thankfulness bestowed her a few minutes afterward when the couple was making their rounds to different tables to thank their guests for attending. They managed to find a way to get seated at their own table before a few small toasts were made by Volgorl, Yerbol himself, Bex, Neta and Cheriss(of all people!) and dinner was served. The meal and subsequent dancing was probably Yerbol's favorite part of the entire reception, seeing as they weren't bound to any one particular guest, floating among the crowd and talking to whoever they wished. After a few hours, however, Yerbol's feet were beginning to pulse with throbbing pain and he could sense Aria's exhaust as well. With the sun beginning to descend past the tree line, guests began to filter out, saying their goodbyes to the young couple as they left. Their closest circle of friends and family hung behind due to either living on Zinuthra or choosing to not make the long journey back home after such a long day, which gave one last opportunity for good nights and other affiliated well wishes.
"I think I'll hang around if Elara will have me." Neta told the couple, shooting a wink across the room at the Havoc commander, who shook her head and chuckled in resigned acceptance.
"Of course, I won't get to see you both again for a few weeks, but..." She chewed her lip in thought.
"I think I might be seeing more of you when you get back." Giving them one last hug, she left on that cryptic note.
"What did..." Yerbol shrugged, looking down at his new bride.
"Guess we can find out after we've had plenty of time laying around as mister and MRS Massani." He couldn't help but slip an arm around her waist and a loving kiss on her forehead, telling her quietly:
"And hopefully we can lay around for a LOT longer without the galaxy falling apart. I think we as newly weds deserve that much."

Another half hour or so passed before they finally made their way back up their quarters, Yerbol stripping himself of the tie and unbuttoned shirt with a grunt of relief.
"No one ever warned me..." He then threw off his other formal attire, leaving him in dark blue shorts as he collapsed onto the bed face first.
"How tiring getting married was." His wife(!) mentioned something about changing, to which Yerbol grunted in approval and turned over just as their bathroom door shut, eyes closing for just a moment...

Then he heard a whisper. It was slight, but he thought he could hear...

Someone?
"You say something, honey?" When Ari responded with a muffled "No!", his brows scrunched.

Who...?
