Life can be...just wow. Lessons learned from my hiatus: it's ok to be vulnerable with those you care about, the people who love you will always remain in your life and be true to what you want.

Bump again
MAN that felt good. Looking forward to writing with you again! :D
Dick met Kara's gaze and said quietly:
"He and Talia have a history. That's all I can say without keeping you up the entire night with the craziest stories about old guys coming back from the dead, a resurrection pit and ninjas. Ninjas." He could practically feel Bruce's anger about the situation threatening to strangle him if he said another word about Talia, so he remained silent, allowing Kara to make an observation that he himself had made a number of times while serving as ward to the Dark Knight. The impossible was never out of reach with him, though. Ever.
"Charging into Lexcorp and demanding answers would be stupid, yes." Clark commented, rubbing his chin with his hand as he scanned the frozen image on screen for any discrepancies he could notice before shrugging.
"I say that we do some more homework before we make any large moves. I don't know very much about the League of Shadows, but I do know Lex and if he's in bed with them, he's more than likely using them to subdue threats to his power, the docks being a small example of that. I can rummage around in my contacts, see if I can pull anything in street clothes. Worst case scenario involves me flying through the seedier areas of Metropolis and shaking down gang leaders for information. In any case, I can get info about Lex and the League's movements in Metropolis."
"I doubt BludHaven is going to provide anything of interest, so once I get Lavash thrown in jail, I'll do what I can to help. Haven't been to Metropolis in a while. Might be nice to not have to live in the shadow of creepy mansions and smoggy refineries."
"The help would be appreciated." He turned to Kara, worry creasing his brow.
"The League is something you don't have experience with, but telling you to stay out of this would just make you want to help even more, so you and Dick find out what you can while I'm being Clark Kent the dutiful reporter." He then gave a look at Bruce:
"You know, Lex wouldn't turn down an opportunity to repair his image and one of your fundraising campaigns might be just the event to flush him out." Knowing that the Dark Knight probably had his own set of plans churning, Clark added:
"Unless you've got something else you'd like to share."
Gah that felt good! Left it in conversation. Feel free to post conversation and I can get us to Tattoine if you'd like :)
Yerbol sat back in the seat adjacent to his partner, occasionally nodding or giving some verbal form of affirmation that he was giving attention to her thoughts. Taral snorted a few times to indicate that the fierce hound from the arid stands of Korriban wanted a scratch behind the ear, which punctuated the grave tone of Aria's thoughts. When she was paused to recollect her thoughts, Yerbol took the opportunity to chime in himself on the issues she brought up:
"There seems to be a contingent of people who want to create some kind of security in the face of chaos. Yes, we have done a lot, but who's to say that Qyaari would implode?" He quickly followed that up to clarify:
"Not to say that the order WILL, just that...well, I don't think I need to remind you of what happened to Tython and Korriban. We weren't the only ones who felt the seismic chasm in the Force when both Jedi and Sith went by the wayside." It felt like shards of those memories were still embedded in his heart.
"It was easier for Force users who were isolated and cut off from the chaos to form together. Sith and Jedi broke down walls out of necessity and forged bonds while we were trying to stop Bracknell and Illesia." He chuckled, giving his partner a wan gaze.
"Apparently we weren't the only ones to form tight relationships with people we wouldn't normally associate with before all this." The smile that had formed from the sentence disappeared suddenly, mulling some of the other ideas brought up.
"Manus seemed to take advantage of the chaos too well, almost. You're right in the sense that parents would be mollified at the notion of their children being thrown at us as cannon fodder, but Voldon said it himself: Manus was a tactician. He probably sees the kids as necessary pawns to get to where he needs to go. Remember how he described users of the Force? As weapons. Manus doesn't see the humanity in those kids nor(more than likely) the network he created. Which, by the way, separates us from them VERY distinctly. I know that having to slice through the assassins on Coruscant and Kashyyk wasn't exactly what we would've liked, but we feel BAD about it. We value the connection that all life has to the Force." His voice grew slightly deeper and raspier to mimic a certain Sith master:
"Balance requires the acknowledgment that regardless of status, action or creed, all life has a connection to the Force. Remember that every time you are tempted to draw your saber in haste." The old Master's teachings had grown on him the past few months in conjunction with Yerbol's increased instructional duties, the Champion meditating far more on what Renso shared with them in those dank tombs more than half a year ago.

A momentary silence descended on the cabin before Yerbol spoke again:
"What befuddles me more than anything is what Renso's motives ARE. I mean, it can't be destabilization of the galaxy again, right?" A snort of a laugh as he added:
"We've dealt with TWO maniacs bent on creating chaos in the galaxy. I'd like to have Manus' desires be a bit more stereotypical, you know? Domination of the galaxy from an evil throne somewhere, to rob all the banks in the galaxy, to regrow the hair on his head by stealing all the hair off of every Wookie alive, just something simple for once!" The nav computer didn't seem to appreciate the jest, showing her indignation by chirping loudly to indicate that they were a quarter of the way to Tattoine.
"Sacrificing so many people, breaking out Jean Soto, diverting resources from his own network...he's got something planned a lot more diabolical than Wookie stealing. Not to say that isn't evil in and of itself." He slunk down in his chair a bit, eyes resting.
"And don't you think Voldon is hiding something from us? No, correction, don't you want to know what he IS hiding from us? Because he obviously knows more than he's letting on and so does Malu...probably the rest of the council." He let out a gruff sigh as he rested his feet on Taral's back, who had resorted to falling asleep.
Hey, so do you want to do conversation on the shuttle for a post before landing on Tattoine or should I just have them land?
So after remembering where we were, I have a few ideas on how to progress and would love your suggestions/input on how to modify them:

-I'd like to expose some of the more sympathetic figures in Manso's network on Tattoine as a way of contrasting the Qyaari and highlighting the fact that the galaxy is still fractured. To that end it might be cool to have Ari/Yerbol resolve some threat to the network(maybe sand people raiding the settlement? Mercenaries sent by local Hutts who felt jaded by the network due to not paying protection money? Don't know that bit yet). I'd also like to shed light on Manus' supply diverting, which leads me to this...

-When the delivery of supplies is made and the side threat dealt with, Kartan and Vaerth find that the once touted "fully stocked" outpost has been slowly running out of basic rations and weaponry. The Force users there have been trying to figure out why their supply drops had been getting more scant, which then cues Yerbol and Aria's revelation about Manus' hoarding. I'd assume Kartan/Vaerth would still be skeptical, but willing to help more so than before.

-While Yerbol and Aria are on Tattoine, the Council receives reports from the Alliance intelligence outpost on Zinuthra that across Outer Rim space there have been reports of widespread chaos. Mercenary groups and terrorist cells are turning up dead along with civilians and Alliance squadrons stationed there. Two Qyaari scouting parties also went dark on (insert outer rim planet). These attacks, of course, are coordinated by Manus in order to instigate distractions for he and Jean to move undetected throughout the Outer Rim.

-The chaos would get so out of hand that some of the Elders would insist on coming to help Alliance squadrons/personnel and Qyaari forces. This leaves Zinuthra depleted, leading to a two pronged attack:

1. The outer rim world that the Qyaari scouts disappeared on is the trap laid for Yerbol, Aria and the Elder who accompanies them(I'd like for it to be Voldon for...well, I'll get to that). They land, get shot down and are surrounded by Faceless/Manus and Jean.

2. Zinuthra is then attacked by more Faceless platoons that emerge from hyperspace, taking the planet off guard.

In trap one...well, I've been thinking about this for a while and I think it would be in Voldon's character to attempt to hold off as many as he could to get survivors off world.

Which means that he'd die.

...

I know, I know! Killing an Elder is not what I'd like to do, but I think he would serve as a good martyr for the Qyaari.

Well, that's all I got for now. What do you think?
Hi there and THANKS SO MUCH for your patience. Things were tough this summer, but now things have cleared up to where I'll be back to posting on Monday! If you'd like to continue the thread, that'd be awesome, but no worries if not. Hope to get back to writing with you soon :)
All looks good! I'll get to it as soon as I can, seeing as real life is impinging on any creativity I have at the moment xD
I promise I haven't forgotten about our thread! Real life is giving me all sorts of trouble. I'll be back ASAP!
