This is asking for an RP in which the Southend-on-Sea furniture bots battle for control with the Korean casino bots, in an ultimate struggle that will destroy the world.

Suddenly building some kind of wall doesn't seem like a bad idea. Vote Frengo 2016 for RPG President.

Is it sad that I bought a 10yo Netbook from Ebay with the sole intent of using it just to write my RP posts?

Sea Gorillas are not a "personal" issue, and affect the entirety of mankind. It's morons like you that prevent social and cultural progress.

@Frengo Ah, I see. That's a pretty nice reason, too. I'd expect everyone to read other people's posts though. No matter the colour.

I don't. I read all of PGK B's related posts, and that's it - unless I have spare time. I mean I've kept up so far with everyone else, but only because the RP had a lull yesterday. But if this was constant and fluid, I'd be wholly focused on PGK B - because others depend on me for it.

Ya see, when I floated PGK B, Claw made it seem as if this idea was dead. He was busy, and said he might revisit it later - which I took as code for "Not feeling it guys". So I abandoned the idea, and made another RP (They Hunger for You) to compliment my hardcore commitment over at the nation area.

Then of course, Claw came back, true to his word - and I felt honour bound to uphold PGK B. The only way I can continue to do so though, is if I prioritise my time.

So yeah, I only read posts that I need to. It's not an insult to the others, it's just me trying to make the best of my time I have on here. Weekends aren't usually a problem, but weekdays get a bit frantic, and that's when some of the Russian players might find me skimping over them.

Then I look at other players and think "I wonder if they have similar problems to me? Maybe if I colour the text it'll make it easier for them?" And so on.
@Frengo Just wondering why some of your text is in yellow.

I've RPed with you before, under another name, in a WiR game I think. You didn't do it back then.
Well it was either WiR or it was another world war 2 thing, where there was an alternate history where Hitler got assassinated and therefore the German's weren't wholly evil.

The yellow draws attention to important information. As what I do affects different people, I thought that using colour might help them take in the information.

I don't recall you at all I'm afraid, but it's possible.

Berran Woods

Oh...I thought it was Bervan...whoops.

Oddly enough, I misspelt it as that as well.

Yeah, the text on the map is a little hard to read on some parts. Probably shoulda done something with that. Ah well, you guys get what you paid for, and you paid nothing, so.... :P

EDIT: Just going to make it easier for everyone to find and look at the map. You'll see a new link in my sig and the "Helpful Links" section in a sec.
@Kurai Assassin

Wew. That's a big one.

Unfortunately, I've got too much on my plate right now. Looks interesting though. If I get freed up at any point, I'll be sure to have another look.
Character: PFC Michael Roper
Location: Orik Farmstead
With: No one.

"This must be some kind of training op," Michael muttered to himself. "Black Mesa... was it just some elaborate test ground of some new weapon?"

It was no secret to the boys of the Hazardous Environment Combat Unit that the U.S Government was overseeing some pretty shady projects. In fact, that was the main reason that the HECU existed in the first place. He'd only been in the unit for eighteen months, but in that time he'd seen some pretty trippy sights - though the aliens (imagined?) at Black Mesa certainly proved to be the crescendo of oddities that the Government had thrown his way.

Something latched around his ankle, like an iron clamp, and squeezed hard until it hurt. Michael jumped, dropping the touch screen tablet, and looked down just in time to see one of the corpses at his feet close its jaws around his boot.

"Gah! What the fuck!?" He screamed, his voice sounding like the guttural cry of a robot gorilla thanks to the voice changer. He tried to kick his foot free of the corpse, but found it impossible. Bringing the shotgun up in a panic, he pointed it at the thing's head and pulled the trigger. The corpse's head disappeared behind the bright muzzle flash, sending an uncountable amount of skull and gloopy brain fragments skittering in all directions.

Michael backed away, the corpse's teeth and parts of it mouth still fixed to the end of his boot. "What the fuck? What the fuck? What the fuck?"

The second corpse was still inanimate, though it had slumped forwards - obviously as the other one had moved to attack Michael. None of this made sense, but then, nothing in the last twenty four hours of his life made much sense. Was he in some kind of high tech military training facility? Did they dope him with acid? They'd done that before. He tried to recall every moment of his life before he was sent to Black Mesa, looking for a break in its continuity - a moment that would provide a clue as to where he was.

And then the door to the living room swung open, crashing against the wall. The rotted frame gave way, and the whole lot tumbled to the floor. Two men stumbled inwards, their clothes torn and tattered, their flesh dry and cracked. White eyes settled on Michael, and they froze as if surprised.

Michael raised his shotgun at them. "Stay back! Stay the fuck back!"
If anybody ever has questions about my posts, then don't hesitate to ask. I might not aways put things "clearly", but will be happy to explain further.
@MrMinerGuy142 FYI on your zombie buddies.

Berran Woods

A squad of zombified American GIs, who are stalking Gunsō Haruka Kazuko amidst the trees.

UPDATE: Haruka killed one, and ran from the rest. They have now vanished, but will ambush him periodically until they have all been slain. They will usually appear during a moment of respite, such as sleep or when Haruka feels at ease.

I'll leave their reappearances up to your discretion.

@neogreggory FYI, Monster Tracker updated.

Fort Buckmere

Three Werewolves, who are hunting Arth Bek.

UPDATE: Arth pushed one from a castle tower, though his sword was still buried in it. It is presumed dead. He injured the other two by tipping over a brazier on to them as they climbed the walls; however, they have now chased him into the keep and are searching for a way inside.

The system is simple. I allot a number to each character, from 1 upwards. And then, I will periodically ask Mr. Random Number Selector to pick a batch of unfortunate characters. For ease, and to stop the RP choking up with too many monsters, I will usually roll for about half the active characters at any one time.

And then I roll a virtual 7 sided dice.

1 - Small group of easy enemies.
2 - Large group of easy enemies.
3 - Small group of medium enemies.
4 - Large group of medium enemies.
5 - Small group of tough enemies.
6 - Large group of tough enemies.
7 - Is... is that a Balrog?

I'll then put a little counter on the map, showing an image of the selected enemy, and its direction of approach. - Redundant idea, replaced by the Monster Tracker page.

I'll add the monsters to the Monster Tracker, along with a link to the post on the OOC in which they were created. Players will be given a brief description of the monsters, and will also be provided with information on how the monsters will react to certain actions taken by the characters. You do not have to go by what I say from word to word, the information provided is simply a guide to assist you.

Monsters will be scaled according to their victim. For instance, there is a big power or strength difference between a World War 2 Japanese soldier, and a steel-plated magic warrior from Magic the Gathering.

You then try to not die.

@Will I have updated the System info on the OOC page to reflect any recent changes I made to it, but what you see above is all you need to know about how things work around here :)
There ya go, there's a plot device for one of you to walk over to eventually. Added to the monster tracker.
