Marlene sat down on a bench in the mall attempting to get some relaxation prior to continuing with the realities of the routine. She got up and walked over to Katherin. "can I talk to you in private please?" her tone of voice of shy and to a degree somewhat emotional. She waited for a response patiently.
The Loner(1)

at dawn a man rises from his small apartment gazing out a window full of sunlight he slips on his trench coat and walks briskly out the door and onto the streets for he has nowhere to nor anywhere he wants to be he's just there to there and while he's there he watch the world go by while he does odd jobs waiting for his due that never comes.

after a few days the loner as he is now known as simply gives up on humanity like a bird in a cage knowing all too well there is no getting out of it all pity that's how he wanted or at least that's what we were told and humanity moves on forgetting the loner while he drowns in a sea of his own discontent.

he asks not for money nor handouts but he does like every other human ask for some last vestige of what once was but no longer is.

this thread is where I transplant my written material and take it to the next level all are welcome to add their own contributions to my work via their own accord, thank you
"Oh, cool." Marisa said before she started to catch up to Marlene."You sound foreign...are you not from here as well?" Marisa asked Marlene since she took note of Marlene's accent.

@Fugitive 22

"thanks." Marlene smiled at Marisa. "I was born in Amsterdam,Holland to a Dutch father and a Ulster Scots (Northern Irish) Mother both of which were Protestant and raised me in a tolerant state of mind." She then pulled out a photo of her parents and her Dutch passport. She stared at the sky above them and then continued walking.
"alright." Marisa said to the housekeeper. she then felt a tap on her shoulder from behind, and turned around to face Marlene. when Marlene asked if Marisa would like to join her at the café Marisa replied"wha..? oh, sure." and grabed the guilder bank note. "Appreciate the thought but...what is this..?" Marisa asked, inspecting the note.

@Fugitive 22

Marlene blushed. "a 10 guilder bank note from my native Holland." She then went out the door walking down to the local cafe where the aroma of freshly baked pastries and roasted coffee awaited her with a every step she took down a nearby path. "how I long to taste the bold flavor of Java with it intoxicating lour." She paused for a moment waited for Marisa to join up with her.
Marisa grabbed one of the cards as well,confused as to what she would do with 100$. "Maybe I could save it for later..? or I can find a café to eat and wait for the others at..." Marisa said as she continued to think of what to do.

Marlene tapped Marisa from behind on the shoulder. "care to join me at the cafe for a cup of coffee and maybe a pastry or two?" She asked her with a shy yet nevertheless polite tone of voice. Marlene handed Marisa a 10 guilder bank note. "you can keep this if you wish."
Marlene fell into the line after the journey to the orphanage came to an end. "where am I?" Marlene asked Sans politely. She looked around for brief second seemly disoriented by her surroundings and the pattern of events that had been set in motion. "something tells me I am in for it." She said to herself.
@Fugitive 22 Your post make no sense. Your character just fell asleep outside of the bus.

my bad I wasn't aware of that detail.

Katherin turned towards the girl's voice. "I am fairly new. I have only been at the orphanage a day. But so far it has been nice. It is nice to be around others with abilities." She answered. She was hoping to make friends. It was important to her that she be able to make friends with people like her. She hadn't had a lot of friends.

Marlene smiled at Katherin. "I am from Amsterdam, how about yourself" She asked her in a soft yet shy Dutch accent. soon after having finished speaking She yawned and went into a deep sleep covering herself with a khaki trench coat which once belonged to her dead mother.
Marlene asked Katherin a question. "so what's the orphanage like?" She said in a shy Dutch voice as She looked out the window gazing at the local scenary. "the environment around here reminds me of my home back in The Netherlands. She fell silent waiting for Katherin's response.
