Bridgett was deep in thought so she barely registered what Abel had said about the grimm being able to sense movement in the webs.
What do these artifacts look like? Why were we given so little information about this exam? I know that we are supposed to be trained to deal with these kind of situations, but even this seems a little extreme for an entrance evaluation... No matter, I must push through.
Bridgett looked up and around her surroundings and realized she had lagged a little behind her new partner. She picked up her pace a little in order to catch up with him, "So, Abel, what did you mean by what you have to pro-" She stopped short as the thought she heard something off a little ways in the trees. Stupid, you lost focus, something may have snuck up on you. Can't afford that, not here. She stopped a moment to regain her focus and had just enough time to realize there was something big very close, but as she drew her weapon a large shape burst forth from the underbrush rammed into her.
With a sharp cry of pain Bridgett's flight was stopped short when she slammed into a tree, causing sticky sap to ooze out and dribble onto her cloak as she shook her head, trying to clear it for the situation. She looked up in time to see Abel turning at the sounds from behind him, but she saw he wouldn't be ready to defend himself from the sheer savagery of the attack in time. Bridgett flung the chain of Rakurai as the Ursa Major lunged at him, but her target was not the creature.
Abel heard the sharp claws splitting the air right next to him as the chain wrapped around his waist and yanked him off his feet and into the woods. The Ursa Major let out a vicious roar as it was temporarily deprived of its prey, then turned to glare at the pair in the the woods. "Sorry about that Abel, but I'm afraid its out of the frying pan and into the fire for us." she gestured at all the broken spiderwebs that her flight path had disrupted. "This is one situation where we really need to run." As she said this she quickly helped him back to his feet and took off running as the Ursa Major began to chase after them.
