"Yes sir," Audrey said, instantly feeling slightly concerned at what she had learned. Actual creatures, and worse, they were attacking the regular world. Why now, all of a sudden? And why hadn't she heard about them with certainty before? And what was that paper Dr.Fukui snatched from her? The whole situation seemed funny. Though the whole day so far had been weird. Maybe she just needed to get out and clear her head a bit. Audrey strode over to the door that Fukui indicated, opened it, and stepped out into the hallway.
It was indeed like hitting a wall. Audrey's vision shifted instantly as the 4th dimension faded. She held her arm up in front of her. This is so strange, she thought to herself. I see the same way I did before the procedure. Audrey took off her glasses. She had invented them a few years to help her see amidst the chaos of the 4th dimension, though she never managed to perfect them. But here she had no need of them at all. She made a mental note to herself to figure out what technology they were using to suppress the dimension here.
Audrey wandered aimlessly throughout the halls, having no idea where exactly she should go. After a while she turned a corner and found a group of people talking and introducing themselves. Maybe I should go talk to them, she thought. After all, she wasn't going to find out much of anything in the labs or from wandering any more at this point. She hesitantly walked over to the group, giving a quick wave when she caught one of the people's attention.
