"You are probably the laziest and least motivated student in this school Alexis. You just sit and play on your little Gameboy and sleep through class! It's a wonder your mother even-

"It's not a Gameboy," I mutter, wishing the conversation would just end. It had been almost an hour since I'd gotten pulled out of class, and over some stupid joke too! Calling someone an "A-word" when they pulled my hair shouldn't be a reason to get kicked out of class, no matter how loud I said it. It didn't help my temper when Miss Lualdi had completely ignored me when I tried explaining why, and it probably didn't help that I called her an A-word too. Why were they surprised anyways? According to Mom, adults swore all the time, so it's not like Miss Lualdi hadn't heard it before. I could only imagine how many my mother would have in store for me once I got in the car. Maybe this time I would even count how many times she swore, keep a tally on my hand or something.

What was taking Mom so long to get here anyhow? The only reason I was still in the principal's office was to wait for her, because I apparently couldn't be trusted to go back to class. It's not like I'd antagonize Dylan, at least if he didn't pull my hair again. There were many worse names I could call him, not to mention that I threatened to kick him if he did it again, which also didn't help my case. I'd almost gone and done it too for the smirk he gave me as I was being walked out. In fact, Miss Lualdi's iron grip was the only thing saving him from a swift kick in the-

"It doesn't matter what it is Alexis! The point is that you called Dylan and Miss Lualdi an asshole! What on earth made you think that was okay? It's bad enough that you do absolutely nothing in class and get horrendous grades, but lately you've been acting up to. You are twelve years old, and yet you're doing things that most high school children wouldn't even do!"

Not really true. My sister Ariana was in high school, and while she may have been only a freshman, she had told me stories of much worse. Ari had told me a few of the things her boyfriend would do to other people, and while I couldn't stand being around Jonathan, the stories they told usually made me laugh. I hated Ariana and her "perfect" grades and perfect hair and perfect... Well, everything, but she was still my sister. At the end of the day, she was still there for me. I never admitted it or told her, but she meant the world to me.

Hello world, it is I, Garbage! I'll uh... Keep this interest check simple! This will be a tale of two middle school kids becoming friends. It would take place in a rather prestigious academy (non magical, completely mundane) where our two characters happen to attend. My character would be Alexis Duvalle, a seventh grader notorious for being lazy in class and always doing her homework late. Her mother plans on pulling her out of the school due to her lack of effort, and she is fully prepared to go along with it.

Your character, while not immediately knowing she was going to be leaving, gives her a reason to stay. They become friends, and whatever happens from here is up to us! I'm not quite sure what to put into this interest check, but if you're somehow interested...
