Bio

Well hello.

I guess I should introduce myself, huh.

I'm Gardevoiran, just some schmuck going to college and working towards getting a degree in Fine Arts.

I do commissions and what-not, and you can ask me to do a commission for you through my Discord (Gardevoiran #1429) or up here through RPGuild PMs, and I receive donations and payment through my Ko-fi page. Clicking the box right below here will take you to it.

I'm a nerd. I play Pokemon religiously, I dabble in some anime, I write up here, and I love watching incredibly awful movies and just making fun of them. Specifically things like "Leo the Lion" and what not.

I don't have much else to say, so I guess I can leave you guys with a really bad joke.

"What do you call a cow with two legs?"
"Lean beef."

"HEY GUYS! SORRY I'M BRINGING COMPANY!" Digbie hurriedly said as he thought of something. He was back with his friends, meaning that fighting this ROUS would be a lot easier to do now with some support, as long as he kept everyone from taking too much damage. It seemed like he was the doctor of the group, but he wasn't going to be able to do much with his own strength until a quick survey of the group told him that he could probably Earth Wall under himself without impeding the rest of the group... but just in case, he could use some security too.

So that's what he did. Before anything, Digbie cast on himself a Shield II, just in case the ROUS caught him. Then, with his newly acquired Earth Wall II, he cast it underneath himself to the point where he was sure it'd slow the ROUS down, if not hurt him from running into it, which hopefully four inches thick and as tall as Digbie. Once that was done, Digbie turned around and cast another spell. He wasn't able to dual cast, but he could switch quickly to keep himself on his toes... at least until Digbie needed to recover some mana.

"Jehanne! Help protect us with your radiance and with this Sacred Ground!" Digbie chanted, inadvertently using Spell Chant to buff his Sacred Ground II. While the spell was activating, Digbie reached into his bag with a free hand to pull out a new weapon.

"You're gonna regret this!" Digbie said as he raised his Broken Shield towards the ROUS.

"Hm?" she raises her eyebrow as she looks at you fumbling around with your gear and arm...

... actually, speaking of that, you notice that it's completely and utterly trashed. Not beyond repair, but if you tried to fix it... you might take a LONG time only to not actually make it any better. Your attack did a mighty number on Grox, but it arguably did much more to your arm.

>Metal Enhanced Arm
- Severely Damaged
- At your current level of expertise, you could attempt to repair the arm. Failing such an action will result in the arm breaking beyond repair.
- You have the materials! You can attempt to repair!
System - You
(Stealing the System idea from my GM of an amazing setting. Hopefully it helps keep you on track a little better with planning things.)

As for your inventory, you have what you have. Spare parts, various trinkets, and a few tools. Interestingly enough, there's also a book in your bag. You don't remember that being in there, though due to the large blue stone in it's cover one could imply that it's a magical tome. Interesting.

As soon as Digbie felt the sudden approach of a Dire Rat due to Tremor Sense, he slammed his book closed and thought for a split second. Tons of things rushed through his head as he turned to stare at the Dire Rat leaping towards his throat. It was almost as if time had slowed down that he realized he didn't have much to do in defense here that would result in him not being in some sort of mortal danger. This thing was like a bear to the Demiblin, and he was afraid.

In that moment, he couldn't help but have an instinctual response in his head. Fight, or Flight? Which would he choose? How would he escape this situation and live to see the sunrise tomorrow? Could he even do this alone? How strong was this rat anyway? Could it actually kill him in one massive chomp at his throat, or would it miss and have to nibble some of the dirt? Tons of questions that he couldn't answer, but he did know the answer to one of them...

Flight.

He didn't have long to react, so with a quick breath Digbie ducked down and lunged in the direction he was heading initially, his book being clutched under his arm all the while. He just barely managed to leap out of the way of the Rat's gaping maw, and it was evident that he wouldn't be able to keep dodging forever. Running though was certainly a possibility, since he was so close to the others that if he just made it close enough he could probably get there and be safe.

It seemed like the rat wasn't planning on missing, so as it skid across the dirt behind Digbie in an attempt to regain its footing, Digbie got a head start on his beeline. He didn't care for reading about Jehanne at this immediate moment since he could do that after he survived his encounter, but he knew he needed to get out of there! A last look over his shoulder towards the Rat allowed just enough time for Digbie to get his analysis off, going for a Monster Analysis, Material Analysis, and Magic Analysis all on the Rat in case it could teleport and just off him easy.

"J-Jehanne protect me!" he choked out as he kept running, a hand pointed at the ground underneath him as he used Earth Wall. He needed to buy himself some time to keep this rat at bay so he could get back to base, and with any luck the wall he made would help him make some distance over the Rat.

With all he could do out of the way, Digbie knew that the only remaining thing he could do at that point was flee. Just in case he couldn't get all the way back, he took a deep breath and shouted towards the camp. "TORRENT! OBERON! ASH! HELP MEEEEEEE!"

"Cool, glad I wasn't the only one! I've really just been spending the day trying to find some new friends." Skylar opened before stepping back to reveal the current team, including Celebrity. One by one, Skylar introduced each of his new friends to Kalmia.

"Anyway, I wanted to ask a few things. So... uh... I guess I'll start there." Skylar said as he returned Celebrity to her Pokeball, hopefully just for a little bit.

"So... I wanted to give Celebrity to Vivia, and I wanted to withdraw the Goomy I just caught. Do I just... give Vivia Celebrity's Pokeball before you send me my Goomy? I-I'm sorry, I'm just not sure how this works since I'm a little new to it all."

(Assuming everything goes off with a hitch, Skylar'd give Celebrity to Vivia and then have Fruity join the party.)

"My other question was if you could somehow route the Pokemon I catch to my Dad's lab in Freecape, just so he can do some research and my Pokemon have a place to be when they're not with me in my party." Skylar asked as he scratched at Mac's head just a little bit, causing the Torchic to chirp happily in Skylar's arms.

"Yish scritchies! I wuvs the scritchies!!!"

Hopefully with that question answered, Skylar would be able to ask his second-to-last question without being so bummed.

"I've got some things I recorded that you should probably see." In some way or another (that we can come up with later), Skylar sent the recording of Valen and himself being harassed by those Grunts in the shrine, and he also sent over that picture of Entei that he snapped on the farm. Hopefully both of those could be useful to Kalmia.

"Last question, promise... how's it going?"

"Okay... time to put the book down for just a moment." Digbie said to himself, doing exactly what he just thought. It was time for him to make a decision regarding what to do. He didn't really mind possibly crossing paths with the creature in the cave, as he felt now more than ever that he could reliably defend himself alone if threatened. That being said, possibly avoiding a tangle would be a good idea, just so he could conserve his energy for the time being, if only for a little bit.

With that, Digbie put his book back in his bag, reached down to pull off his sandals (just temporarily) and he looked at the stream. He waded across it once before, and he felt confident he could do it again with little problem. That being said, while he was in the stream there'd be no doubt that his Tremor Sense probably would pick up on the current, so turning it off for the moment wasn't a terrible idea for Mana Conservation, though he kept it on in case there was a new sudden dip in the stream as he walked. He'd hopefully be able to see it if he did.

With everything set, Digbie stepped forward and began to wade through the stream. Just in case, the Demiblin used Earth Wall to block himself from feeling the full blast of the current. With every step he took, he stayed vigilant and careful. He really didn't want to have to sling a Mana Orb at something before he got back.

If he got to the other side safely, he'd put his sandals back on, pull his book back out, and keep reading it for all the knowledge he could.

@POOHEAD189
I've got three art classes and one required a minimum of 60 individual sketches to be done over a weekend (min 4"x4") and I got enraged at a printer tonight so I could print 18 more sketches off for the same class. If anything's gonna kill me, it'll be exhaustion and burn out.

Otherwise, pretty fine, not gonna lie. I'm sorry I haven't posted too, but things got a bit hectic and posting fell to the wayside for a small amount of time. Hopefully when my college routine starts to become a normality I'll try and post for things on the weekends that I'm not so damn busy.

"Uh, as much as I'd like to take credit for putting the Goomy to sleep, that was... um... all Celebrity." Skylar explained as the Jigglypuff walked over, hands on "hips" as she demanded her headpats to come. Of course, Skylar obliged, and placed a gentle hand on her head as he patted away. "Still, nice job Celebrity! Good girl!"

Skylar was prompted with the display on his Pokedex, showing the information on it in gigantic font, no doubt so he can see just barely. He thought for a moment before he came up with a nickname for the new addition to the roster. "Fruity. Plain, simple, and it makes sense considering she ate as much banana as she did."

Skylar stood back up to his feet, allowing the Goomy to go to the box for the present moment as he thought about what to do with his team. He had seven members, but he could only have six at a time, and he'd thought about something else for a while. Meh, he'd ask Vivia the question as they walked back.

"Alright! Got the Goomy, now... uh... I think we could all use with a little rest. Plus, it is kinda late." Skylar said as the moonlight above the group illuminated Route 3. "Back to the Pokemon Center? I'm pretty sure they have some beds for us to use."

Hopefully Vivia would agree, and the whole group would start their walk back to Highhill Town.

Along the way, though, Skylar looked at Vivia and had to ask a question to her out of his own curiosity. "You know how I said a little earlier that Celebrity had liked you? I was thinking maybe you two would both do a lot of good being in each other's company... so... uh, when we get to the Pokemon Center, would you like to maybe have Celebrity join you and your team?"

Regardless of what she responded with, Skylar would eventually trip over a certain item in the path towards Highhill before looking at the item a little closer. "Now who in their right mind would leave some ceramic vase in the middle of a forest?"

Skylar obtained the Relic Vase!

... eventually, though, when the group made it back to Highhill and back to the Pokemon Center, Skylar's first order of official business (that wasn't healing the team) was to talk to Professor Kalmia over the PC. Maybe he could have his dad get access to his PC box so all his Pokemon that weren't active were able to help his pop at the lab? That'd be a cool idea.

Now, of course Skylar also didn't speak Dragon, but as for the rest of his team goes, when Paradise lifted her head up to glare down at the Goomy, everyone could kind of tell her own patience was worn thin. She didn't say anything, but everyone kind of knew. The first Pokemon to even say anything about the situation was Seabreeze.

"Well, that's just rude of you! Skylar's a great trainer!"

"Whoa, Seabreeze, what's gotten into you?" Skylar asked, clearly unable to understand what Seabreeze was saying. Though, Paradise definitely heard it, and nodded in agreement to what Seabreeze just said.

"Tch, speak for yourself."

"Sh, Smiley. You've only been with us for a few hours!"

"... fine. He's not all bad. Still, I don't think he's all that great-"

"I wike him. He gives nice huggies."

"... huff... okay, the kid likes him. It must be because I haven't been around him long enough."

"... wait... where's-"

The only one that hadn't chimed into the conversation so far was Celebrity, though unaware to the Goomy that Skylar was trying to catch, she was right behind her, and it was very evident that she was not happy.

"How dare you take my headpats and sentimental affection without so much as caring that this child wishes to make friends with you?! THAT'S MY JOB, AND YOU WILL LEARN YOUR PLACE!"

"Wait, Celebr-!"

Celebrity used Sing on the wild Goomy!

"New bosses, new enemies, if only I had the time to catalog them...!" Pestilent Emerald ran through the "battlefield" with her drone taking full advantage of it's speed in the actual fight, dodging quick around the not-very abundant walls of the area. Some places had some decent cover, others didn't, but the flashing buffs on Pestilent Emerald's HUD kept her feeling pretty confident in her abilities. Her drone's fumes were ticking onto both the boss and his drones alike, meaning the Plagued debuff was in full swing. The boss didn't seem to take much damage from the status, but the drones were all taking hits over and over, some of them busting while the damage was converted into a shield for P.E.. She would've targeted a blade user, but as it stood they weren't really easily able to get close. At least right now P.E. could move to a better location before retargeting.

"Yoohoo! Fellow drone user eh? I've got a lovely piece of cover if you wanna talk while our drones do stuff."
Miss...?

"Uhh... sure...?" Pestilent said as she darted over to the cover with this... oddly dressed individual. The outfit was definitely part of your branding, but this outfit was... odd. It wasn't at all something you'd expect someone to wear on a battlefield, except for maybe one of those weird anime. Ah well, this wouldn't be for long, Pestilent hoped. She ducked back behind the ruined postal office walls as she saw something pop up on her HUD.

>Unfinished Agony cooldown reset.

Good. She could restart the debuff timers on the boss.

"H-hello! I'm not sure I've met you before. New player to High Ground?" Pestilent asked as she stayed down behind cover. She extended a hand to the new player with a smile under her mask, though since the player probably couldn't see that, she took her other hand and drew herself a smile with a finger. "Pestilent Emerald, Deputy of the Golden Guardians. You?"

"I’m sure you don’t have any intention of stirring trouble, do you? After all, I don’t think you plan to extend your stay here indefinitely. Don’t worry with pleasantries either. I’m not on duty right now so, at the moment, I’m a simple citizen of the Imperium much like you. We are all born equal under the eyes of the Imperator. Now, let’s go before the lunch gets cold. You too, Lorelei."
Lady Asgard

"I have no intent to stir up trouble. I'm definitely not one for violence, rather one for talking, and I mean no harm with my pleasantries. I'm a stranger in an unknown land, and I only want to honor two ladies of your stature with as much admiration and praise as you deserve." Akiko explained with a smile on her face.

Then the visions hit.

"Ngh..." The visions that Akiko saw in her mind were definitely something that helped her clue into Eleonor's personality. It was FAR more than the visions she had of anyone else, including Lorelai. This world was an illusionary plane within the Tower, but could it be possible that Eleonor was more than the Tower had let on? Still, addressing what kind of noise she just had wouldn't be a bad idea. "S-sorry if anyone heard that. Sudden headaches come on and off for me, I should be fine."

As the bard and the political figures neared what could be assumed as Eleonor's estate, Akiko noted the maids in their dresses and scarred skins and pondered on that for a moment. It wouldn't be out of the realm of reason to assume these maids had been promoted to a higher position from being a soldier, hence the scarring and loyalty to Eleonor. It was a working theory, but it was certainly one that made sense.

Reaching inside, it was just as Akiko had assumed from the outside of the estate. Older, but still a homestead. Certainly she was expecting more of a castle to befit someone called "Lady Asgard" but this wasn't too far from the boat. These maids, if her theory was correct anyway, would definitely be equipped well-enough to handle any intruders or threats if the situation arose. Alas, there wasn't much time to dwell on the introductions.

"This way everyone. The weather is too fine for meals in doors."
Commander Lorelai

"Agreed." Akiko simply stated as she followed behind Lorelai and Eleonor. As much as she wanted to explore the manor and try to figure things out for her own sake, she just sooner would not end this meeting with her hightailing it out of here because she entered Eleonor's chambers.

The lunch area was, simply put, unsurprisingly elegant. It wasn't that Akiko was ungrateful (not that anyone could tell), but she was just unsurprising. It was elegant, fantastic, and absolutely decorated with a red hue of many, many strawberries, but it wasn't anything outside of what Akiko was expecting. She was still going to take it in, though, if only because she needed to keep up her act. "Heavens, you both show quite the generosity for a stranger such as myself, allowing me to sit with in the presence of two of the Imperium's finest over lunch."

"Do not hesitate to ask for of the maids if you find yourself in need. Milady's generosity has been extended to you, so do not let propriety halt you here. Sit where you may."
Commander Lorelai

Lorelai took the seat to the right of the head of the table, and assuming there was no other person joining the three for lunch, Akiko calmly sat down at the left of the head. It seemed only fitting for both symmetrical and practical reasons. Though, she certainly did have to ask something to both of her hosts.

"I do sincerely hope I'm not overstepping my boundaries by asking, but if it's no burden on you, may I perhaps inquire as to why you two of radiant prestige are extending such kindness to a stranger like myself?"
