Josh stepped out of the chopper, his duffle bag in hand and back pack slung over his shoulder. He had just arrived to the Shatterdome, his days of slaving as a common laborer were over. He decided that being a pilot was his calling. "Come this way." yelled a man with large hearing protection over his ears, motioning for Joshua to follow him into the building and off the flight line. As they entered the double doors, Josh dropped the hood of his heavy jacket and extended has hand to the man. "Welcome to Fantasy Island." the man said with a laugh as he shook Josh's hand and lowered the head phones to around his neck. Josh smiled simply in response. "Ah, I use that line or every person who's never been here before, I suppose it really isn't that good." he noted, scratching his head after withdrawing his hand.
"So you're here to be a Jaeger Pilot I hear. You have any experience or skills?" he asked, now leading them further down the hall. "I was born to be in a Jaeger, that's all you need to know." he stated, knowing that this man wasn't the guy who made the big decisions. "Ah, so mysterious type, aye. Well that's fine, Mako will be down to collect you shortly. For now you can wait in here." said the man while pointing into an open room with chairs that they just walked up to. He wandered off down the halls while Josh found a seat and sat down. He unzipped his outer jacket and pulled out a photograph from an inner pocket. It was a picture of him and his parents, the last picture he had of them. They were in training to be pilot's but their facility was hit by a Kaiju one year ago and it was that exact moment that Josh knew he must be a pilot to avenge them.

I fixed my URL's in my one post, must have spaced and forgot to do the URL coding lol. Anyway. Sorry I was gone so long, the internet took a shit on my for most of the day and unfortunately I have to go to sleep here soon cause I gotta be up in 7-ish hours and won't be able to post again for another like 7. I'm just going to get this out in the open now so you guys know why my posting times can be so erratic but I'm a soldier in the U.S. Army and I'm currently deployed, the internet is unstable and I go on a lot of missions. That is why I may be difficult for posting from time to time but I'll do my best to cope.
Now, I'm wondering if I can get brought up to speed on what's going on in the RP, cliff notes, summarize what is popping right now so I can jump in this and actually know what I'm talking about lol.

My internet was down for most of my afternoon, that's poopy lol. Anyway, I'm stoked to see people are interested. As of the moment, I count 4 people so if one more person is interested we can still include them. As for you all of you, please ask any questions you think of, this will be my first RP that I am going to be GM of on this site so I'm gonna do my best not to let you guys down. We need a more creative name for the RP for one thing, the rest is fine tuning the details of the RP which I will do with the help of you all of you.

All credit for this concept goes to Soul for his concept of Super Powered: Genesis which was a story about a group of people with extraordinary abilities that were captured for having the powers and locked up in a super max security prison. They wore bracelets that hindered their powers but over time, the bracelets wore down and couldn't restrain their powers. The RP is about life in this prison, getting to know the other RP'ers and developing a way to escape. Unfortunately his RP had to be shut down because it got too cluttered with people so I'm stating the limit of people now. 6 people may join, myself will make 7. We will only create one CS with a single ability. I'll add more information if this gets any people interested.

Josh has ripped the sleeves off of his top and occasionally wraps the pant legs up to be shorts.
Personality: Josh is a nice enough guy, he's not a bully, doesn't go out of his way to be a jerk. This of course isn't to be confused with weakness, he loves a challenge. He isn't afraid to take on the big guy. He has a thick skin from his up bringing, he takes a bit to trust others but once he does. He has their back until the end.
History: Josh grew up in a shady part of town, his parents were poor and his younger sister was very ill. He got picked on a lot because he came from such poverty and he always stuck up for his family, especially his sister which caused him to get into a lot of fights. This led to him learning how to protect himself, which naturally led to him wanting to really break people down. He started training in Mixed Martial Arts at a young age, around 10. Once he had stopped the bullying, he focused his efforts more to his schooling, his parents bright idea. He picked up the engineering side of his school work, anything that could relate to it, he caught on for some reason. It just stuck out to him and when he realized that he could make good money in that field, he worked really hard to learn everything he could and even earned a grant from the county to go to college.
At the age of 18, on the day of his graduation, his sister passed away. So enraged by this, he manifested his power for the first time and accidentally ripped a gaping whole in the earth that nearly sank their house. Josh worked from there to hone his skills in the privacy of their back yard. He had worked up a good level of control over the following years, keeping his power a secret from the world. Now ever since his sister's passing, he's been protective of women ever since. On this day, just a few months after his 22nd birthday, he saw several men trying to mug a woman that resembled his sister, close enough to have been a twin. He lost control, madly fought the men and let the woman escape, then caused an earthquake that buried the men and a 3 block radius. This was the event that couldn't go unnoticed, the government came for him the following day. They found him, shot him with tranquilizer darts and he awoke in a clear cell by himself.
Skills: -Josh grew up in a rough neighborhood so he learned how to fight which lead to an obsession with winning fights so he learned and still practices MMA.
-He also enjoys architecture, which means he has a good understanding of how places are built, and more importantly, their weakest points.

Josh took this opportunity to chime in as he too stepped closer to the group and away from the wall. "I agree with the suit." he said, shocked that he would agree with someone so pretentious. "What's your angle on this Sean?" he asked, hoping to get an answer but not truly expecting one. Josh didn't know them well enough to see the underlying goal here but his gut told him there was one. He knew Jaufre personally but the others, only bits of information by digging up dirt on them. A Merc who knows the game and it's players is far more deadly than any Merc with a gun. "I'm all for getting paid and dropping hell on their worthless asses." he added, wanting to share his true intentions. Josh would be the farthest away from the action either way so if this operation went wrong, he wouldn't likely get caught.

I kinda have to agree. I personally liked his character. Your issue with the weapons is understandable, but he also put severe hindrances on them to make up for it. As for your issue with the nickname, I think the general idea was that he "lies in wait like a snake, and then vanishes into the desert like a ghost." Buuuuuuuuut, as I said before, what the GM says goes, so... Sorry Trapezoid. Maybe you can join in later?Edit: Am I the only one to notice the Hatfield–McCoy reference in his bio?
I'm not gonna bitch and say he can't have any reference to a "Ghost Snake" but I would like to point out that my call sign, my a.k.a, since the interest check has been Ghost...just saying it's kinda similar lol.
