Ever heard of the Commoners Railgun?

So in D&D or any RPG it takes six seconds for one person to pass an item to the next person as a free action so:
-Gather like 100 or so peasants.
-1 Sturdy Ladder.
-Have them pass the ladder down the line.
-The ladder goes flying at faster than light speed destroying whatever it was thrown at.
