Since Ananda can perform illusions, could she have a “Rain of Terror” spell or ability where she’d throw knives but also create an illusion of many more knives as well, making it impossible for her target/s to block on counter the attack?

You could treat it the same way as I am with Arwyn's Estent Magoli where their power is based purely on her Strength. That way, if you invest XP in increasing Arton's Strength, the blade would also get stronger.

By the same logic, any XP spent buying new swordsmanship abilities could be written in a way to imply that it's the blade which is getting stronger, rather than Arton. This again would use the same pool of XP as everyone else, but since the abilities would be tied to Severance you could tag them as requiring it for them to work, similar to what I did with Arcane Arrows/Gúl Peng Arwyn and Shadowmeld/Gwathren Gollo.

What would the damage reduction of Oathkeeper be?

Name: Ingrid "Cyclops" Köhler

Appearance:

The 5'6", slender framed Ingrid would be the first to admit she's not the best example of what a sooldier should be, but luckily her technical acumen more than makes up for her physical shortcomings. Never seen in the field without her specially adapted scanner pack, Cyclops is the eyes and ears of her squad, capable of scanning for enemy activity over large areas while remaining safely in cover. She can direct her allies both in evading opposition as well as guiding them to weak points in the enemy's positions, allowing them to set up effective guerilla actions, ambushing, sabotaging and disrupting enemy actions with maximum efficiency.

Bio:

Early supporters of the Emergence Entity, Ingrid's parents were gifted scientists working at the Vienna Center for Quantum Science and Technology together in 2020 when first contact was made and were amongst the first gifted with advanced alien knowledge allowing them to make previously unheard of progress in their research and studies. This initial burst of innovation quickly slowed however as the knowledge they'd been given led them down one dead end after another, and over the years the Köhlers realised that most of the information they'd been provided had been fundamentally flawed. When they brooched the subject with their peers the couple were laughed out of their prestigious positions, and soon found themselves living in the very lowest tiers of the newly forming society. Forced to work menial jobs just to afford to keep their small family fed the former scientists used everything they had learnt about the Entity they now knew was an invading force to construct devices to help resist the rising control spreading over the world. Their actions were soon recognised by Griffin, who quickly recruited the family into their ranks.

Personality:

Cyclops is a quiet, thoughtful young woman who knows that keeping her head down and out of trouble is the best way for her to survive in the dangerous new world she finds herself in. When she talks every syllable is carefully measured to ensure the maximum efficiency in her speech, with information passed succinctly and precisely so as to clearly communication the information she's passing along, even during casual conversations.

"Bombshell"

Name: Kateryna "Bombshell" Zima

Country of origin: Ukraine

Class (AKA Specialty): Commando (CQC)

Appearance:

At 5'11" Kateryna's finely toned physique is enough to catch many an eye, but any who cross her had better be as skilled as she is if they want to avoid getting on her bad side.

Bio:

Kateryna's family thought themselves lucky to live far enough away from any major population centres to be a target of the growing change in world politics, instead feeling comfortable in the simple lives they led. This all changed when the Emergence Entity decided that the land they lived on could be put to better use than a family run farm. Almost overnight their settlement was overtaken with an influx of Emergence allied forces, who quickly constructed factories and power stations without even consulting the local population. When her father attempted to negotiate with the invaders his family never saw him again. Running in fear Kateryna's mother smuggled herself and her young daughter across the country, eventually making their way to Moscow where they linked up with other elements of the budding resistence movement, many of whom had also been displaced by Emergence activity in the countryside. Although they felt safe, it didn't take long for the Emergence to start closing in on the groups operation, but luckily the resistence insurgents managed to make contact with Griffin before the Emergence had an opportunity to act and were safely evacuated from the dying city.

Personality:

Bombshell is a bit of a dichotomy, one moment calm and collected and the next a raging storm of activity. She knows exactly when to wait, and when to take action, and when that time comes she shows no hesitation. Her furious rage always bubbling just beneath the surface adds power to her ferocious attacks, letting her tear apart her opponents at close range, often with unarmed combat moves far more powerful than those who face her would expect.

Name: Luba "Molotov" Kuznetsova

Class (AKA Specialty): Deadeye (Gunslinger)

Appearance:

Standing at 5'2" at her full height, Luba's small stature and unassuming appearance belies her skill, something she often takes advantage of to lull targets into a false sense of security.

Bio:

Growing up in the central urban areas of the city formerly known as Moscow, Luba saw firsthand as the Emergence slowly eroded her nations former spirit and national pride until their leaders wer nothing more than mouthpieces for the new world order. Along with a close, trusted group of friends she worked in the shadows to uncover the truth of the change in her government's policies and philosophies, many of which stood in stark contrast to centuries of established history. Unfortunately one of her most trusted friends turned out to be working against the group all along, but even as forces were circling around them Griffin arrived to exfiltrate the group from the hostile territory, offering them positions in their ranks.

Personality:

Sharp-witted and slow to trust, both her upbringing and more recent experience has taught Luba to question the motives of anyone trying to get close to her. Even the small group of friends she brought with her to Griffin are suspect at this point, and until the leadership prove their intentions the cold-hearted Slav will have her eye on them all.

@ClocktowerEchos Given the setting, how would you feel about my Air Cavalry being mostly a drone force? Automated recon drones in place of the recon helicopters, small robotic hunter-killers in place of the cavalry/motorcycles and larger hunter-killers in place of the medium tanks?

Basically, could I play as SkyNet?
