Here is my WIP CS. I haven't properly edited any of it yet, and a lot of it is subject to change. Just thought I'd post it so people know what kind of character I'm going to play.
Edit: Added in Personality and Appearance. They need a little bit of touching up and such, but they are basically good.
Alias: Sweet Dream
Real Name: Eliza (sort-of)
Age: 14 (sort-of)
Gender: Female (sort-of)
Appearance: Sweet Dreams’ natural shape is only vaguely humanoid. Her skin is a mottled green, and her flesh has a consistency like hard plastic, but possesses the same sort of give that foam has. She generally stands at about 6ft tall. A cluster of five tentacles hang from the top of her head like hair. Her eyes are stark white, with jagged black spirals in place of pupils and sclera. Her fingers and toes are fat and exaggerated, like frog toes. She is very large and chubby, with a gut that distends about a foot in front of her body. While she possesses a few stereotypically feminine body traits (curved shoulders, wide hips, a soft not-quite hourglass figure), she possesses no sexual characteristics of any kind.
Sweet Dream has only perfectly memorized one other form, and it’s the only other form that her body settles into as well as it does her natural shape; that of her creator, Eliza Larkholme. Eliza is a seven year-old freckle-faced caucasian girl. Eliza’s hair is long, straight and black. Sweet Dream is easily able to manifest the clothes Eliza wore at the time of her passing. Her parents, in their attempt to create a perfectly regimented daughter, dressed her up like a student from a private school, with small blue blazer, black pleated skirt, and shiny buckled black shoes.
Personality: Sweet Dream is a staunch idealist, unwilling to believe that any one person is 100% bad. She is kind and bubbly, often getting excited at the prospect of using her powers. Whether combating criminals, disaster or corruption, she sees her Superheroics as an opportunity to show off her artistic sense and creativity, traits that she inherited from her creator. She also has a small contemplative side to her as well. She sometimes enters into a daze and starts staring into space as she thinks about and internalizes the things that she learns about people. Her memory isn’t passive; she has to actively try to internalize things and ensure that she remembers them.
Short Biography: Eliza Larkholme was the stereotypical young prodigy. She was always surrounded by instructors from a young age, making sure her every movement, thought and feeling was calculated and measured to perfection. Her parents, while hardly laissez-faire, tended to leave her in the hands of her instructors and teachers, leaving her to her own devices while she was in her (admittedly short) downtime. She developed immense creativity and imagination, seeking an escape from her hectic and busy schedule. She imagined many and varied wondrous people and monsters, often thinking about them and wondering what they would be like and sometimes even talking to them as though they were right beside her. This threatened to change when her parents found her talking to herself one morning, as she was looking through a thick sketchbook filled with her designs. They immediately scheduled a session for her with the family therapist, and left as quickly as possible. In their haste, her Father drove off with her and her Mother without fixing and adjusting the mirrors on their car.
This led to tragedy, when her Father accidentally backed up into the path of a speeding car. In her final moments, as she lay bleeding against her car door, she thought not of her home, her instructors of even her parents, but of all the wondrous beings she was leaving behind. As she expired, her latent psychic powers kicked in, a little bit too late to save her. They responded to her thoughts, bringing to life her very last idea: a mighty creature, born of her imagination. This creature, which would later take on the name Sweet Dream, absorbed Eliza’s memories. It immediately jumped into action, extricating Eliza’s living but unconscious and bleeding parents from the Car, doing the same for the occupants in the other vehicle. In memory of Eliza, the creator it never knew, it decided to do what it would’ve thought she would want it to do, save and protect the innocent people of her city. Seven years after her death, it is still at work, fighting criminals, saving lives, and trying to learn how to be human, without the benefit of actually possessing a human mind (only its memories).
Powers, Skills & Equipment
Subjective Anatomy: Sweet Dream technically isn’t a living being, lacking any sort of traditional anatomy or biology. Her body is composed of a soft but exceedingly flexible shell, filled with a sort of viscous purple smoke, which leaks out whenever an attack manages to pierce her body. She doesn’t need to breathe or sleep, she doesn’t feel pain, she doesn’t get sick, and poison finds no purchase within her body. Given time, she can eventually regenerate any injury, even when reduced to a head or an arm. Her powerful regeneration is driven by her mental state, waxing and waning depending upon her confidence and her perception of herself.
In addition, by channeling her psychic energy, she can modify her body and imbue it with a variety of effects. Her flesh can be hardened like iron, her smoky innards can become liquid fire, and other stranger more exotic effects. She can also clench parts of her body to hold their shape, allowing her to assume a wide variety of forms. She cannot form organ systems within her body.
