Ethnicity: Caucasian
Birth Place: Memphis, Tennesse
Years With Dunder Mifflin 4 years
Gender: Male
Major/Minor: Accounting/Computer Science
Occupation: Accountant
Languages: English (fluent) / Spanish (sort of fluent-took it in college)
Height: 6'2

Build: Tall, pretty lean
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Dirty blonde
Skin Tone: Tan, sometimes darker in the summer.
Tattoos/Scars/Piercings: No tattoos, no piercings. Scar up his left arm from a car accident.
Personal Style: Sam's personal style is casual and comfortable. He likes to wear fairly plain button ups and pants to work, sometimes wearing a low key pattern if he feels like it. Outside of work, you would probably find him wearing anything from a t-shirt with jeans to a flannel...with jeans. He doesn't have a flashy style at all; he's pretty simple and plain. As far as his hair goes, he tries to keep it trimmed at a decent length so that he doesn't look too "scrappy" but will usually just comb it back if it's getting too long. He'll either shave off all of his facial hair, or keep it neat and trimmed. Sam cares more about comfort than impressing people, but does keep himself presentable and professional looking for work.
Well-Mannered * Bottles up emotions * Charming * Moody
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Relationship Status: Single/Divorced
Personality: Sam's got that "southern charm" thing going for him. He's a true gentleman: polite, respectful, inviting, and charming. It might seem fake to some, but it's just who Sam is, who he was raised to be. His mother taught him to always open the door for others, to be accepting of all people, and if he was feeling judgmental, to see things from another's perspective. It was this sort of molding that turned him into the man he is today. He has a big heart and will do just about anything for anyone yet sometimes it's hard to "connect" with him. There's so many emotions swimming inside him all the time yet he never seemed to learn how to express them properly. His father left when he was young, so Sam had to step up and take care of his younger siblings while his mother worked. He never had time to feel sad or sorry for himself so he always put on a happy front.
'Everything is fine.' Words he would constantly say and think to himself when everything was absolutely not fine. Sam is guilty as charged of bottling up his feelings, so much so to the point where if he's stressed, there's a possibility that he might get snappy. Still, Sam tries his hardest to stay positive even when it's hard.

What Brings You to Dunder Mifflin: "I moved to Newcastle 4 and a half years ago with my wife, well, she was my wife. Anyway, I was working at a bank in Memphis before this and then Lydia got a job offer at a law firm in Philly. We couldn't really afford to live in Philly at the time but there was a job opening here at Dunder Mifflin for an accountant so we settled, er, decided this was the best place to be for now. Well back then it was 'for now.' I guess it could still be 'for now,' but why would I look somewhere else when I'm perfectly happy here...? Yeah, uh, anyway that's my background story."
Life Up To This Point: "I'm from Tennessee if you couldn't tell already. I grew up just outside of Memphis up until I was ten, then we officially moved into the city. That was after my dad died, yeah. We were in a real bad car accident one night coming back from a camping trip in Northern Georgia. I just got this nasty scar on my arm, my dad, well, he didn't make it. I don't really remember much of the actual wreck but I do remember waking up and kinda just
knowing my old man didn't make it. It's not like I blame myself or anything, well...I guess I did for a while, but I moved past it. Shit happens, you know? At least I still had the rest of my family, and my dad wouldn't have wanted me to wallow in misery. He woulda flicked my ear and told me to 'get over it.' So after that it was just me, my mom, and my little brother and sister. Basically I had to be the 'man' of the family since my dad was gone. I still played sports and did my schoolwork and stuff, but I didn't have time for anything else, really. I was taking care of those two little shits most of the time but hey, they turned out real good and part of that has to do with me. So that's cool, right? At least we ain't junkies or criminals.
"So I was able to get into college with a scholarship playing basketball. I got my accounting degree, I know, boring, but I'm really good with numbers so I thought it was a good idea. I met Sylvia when I was a senior and she was a sophomore. Despite how I feel about her now she was real cute back then. I think we got married too quick, you know? Things moved too fast, she wasn't even graduated by the time I proposed. What can I say, we were young and in love. So things weren't too bad for a while. She went to law school and got a job offer out in Philly. I'm a pretty optimistic person so I went with her in hopes that it would be a good experience. Unfortunately it was not. I won't get too into the details but Sylvia apparently wasn't too happy so she...found happiness somewhere else. Our divorce was finalized last year, so I'm on my own right now. No kids, unless you count my cat, Benjamin. Here I have a picture in my wallet..."
