STUDENT IDENTIFICATION
N A M E:Eleanora Aurelia Foxley
N I C K N A M E:Ellie
Her brother was the one to give her this nickname when they were younger, simply because he found "Eleanora" far too long to say several times in a day. It stuck, and now she introduces herself as "Ellie" to almost everyone she meets.
G E N D E R:Female
A G E:17
B L O O D S T A T U S:Half-blood
PRESENCE
Ellie carries herself with the ease of a person who seems to have no fear of what lies ahead of her. She keeps her head up looking forward and never at her feet, looking determined and ready for battle. But she isn’t looking for a fight or a battle. Honestly? She just wants to get to class.
There’s no doubt that she is a pretty girl, but there’s a bit more to it than that. Her air of confidence isn’t overbearing, doesn’t give off the impression that she thinks she is better than you, just that she’s comfortable with herself. Her smile is wondrous and her laugh is so bubbly and contagious it is like a breath of fresh air. There is an open quality to her that invites others to come talk to her or hang out with her, something Ellie doesn’t quite mind. With her head slightly tilted and a small frown in between her eyebrows, she can often be seen listening to someone or something, giving the subject of her interest her full attention. Or you might find her walking around with a book in her head, off on an adventure to find a place secluded enough that she can get lost in a story other than her own for a bit.
A big fan of dark colors, her wardrobe consists of many blacks, grays, and blues. Baggy sweaters usually cover her petite body in the colder months; loose-fitting tees and tanks are her go to in the warmer seasons. She doesn’t pay much mind to her appearance but does care about looking presentable. Most of the time if she’s not in her school uniform, she’s very casual yet looks stylish (it’s all about the layers.) She likes jewelry that’s not too flashy and is always wearing silver studs in her ears, a few thin rings, and a necklace with a little moon charm hanging from the chain. She almost never wears makeup, mostly because she hates the tedious effort it takes to do it every morning. But she also doesn’t even really need it. Some days during the week she might take the time to put on some mascara or eyeliner but that’s about as far as it goes. Her wide, deep blue eyes are almost as enchanting as her magic, drawing those in who might want to dive in and get lost in them. She has a small face contains hardly any flaws with the exception of a faded little scar below her left eye. She keeps her thick, wavy, dark hair short at a blunt cut above her shoulders, usually keeping it down or pinned back to the sides with bobby pins. She’s nice to look at, easy to stare at for some.

ESSENCE
P E R S O N A L I T Y:If there is one word to describe Ellie, it would be curious. The girl wants to stick her nose in everything that piques her interest, but most importantly, she wants to understand. Ellie genuinely would like to get to the bottom of things and wants to know why things are the way they are. By no means is she a know-it-all, although she may come off as one at times, but is the girl who seeks out an answer, always questioning things. Maybe it is because of this reason that she is known as a great listener to almost everyone she meets or befriends. Her openness to perspectives other than her own give people the feeling that they can open up to her without a fear of being judged. Ellie has no hidden agenda, when she asks a question or is out to know something, she isn’t looking to size you up or make assumptions. Her only goal is to understand and gain a new perspective.
Such traits like these make it hard for some to see why she was placed in a house like Bishop as opposed to the wise and knowledgeable Warren. After all, Ellie is one of the top students of her class, always presenting great effort and boasting high scores. And Ellie isn’t afraid to admit that she is intelligent, but also has no fear of being wrong. She would rather learn than look smart. But she isn’t just a nosy sixth-year, she’s notorious for being outspoken about her opinions and beliefs. She sticks up for what thinks is right and is unafraid of the consequences that may come from this action. She doesn’t care about the punishment when it comes to things that she cares about, she has quite the stubborn streak, as a matter of fact. When Ellie is passionate about something, she’ll never back down-even if it kills her. Maybe this makes her seem insufferable at times, stubborn to some, but there’s no doubt that she truly cares.
Ellie is open and brave but remains guarded to those she does not trust. However, she is for the most part very willing to be friends with almost anyone. She loves very deeply and is incredibly loyal to those closest to her. She would fight to the death for any one of her friends or family. She is definitely someone who values having an open mind, and admires those unafraid to be themselves as she always strives to be just that. Of that’s not easy, even for her. She’s only 17, and her insecurities still get the best of her during the times when she doesn’t feel like she’s moving forward in life. Ellie doesn’t want to be just another cog in some great machinery, she wants to be someone great. She wants to matter, make a difference somehow. And someday, maybe she will.
R O M A N T I C I N T E R E S T S:There have certainly been many boys in Ellie’s life that have tried to pursue her and though she has tried to date in the past, she has found that it’s hard for her to open up to others like they do for her. It’s funny, actually, the fact that a girl who’s so open to everything might be afraid of falling in love. The aspect of taking a leap and giving herself to someone that might reject her eventually is terrifying to Ellie-but doesn’t that scare everyone?
She’s had strong feelings for a few boys in the past but hasn’t ever let it go far enough that she should ever be considered a girlfriend. Maybe she just feels like she is too much for one person to handle, but romance has never seemed like her “thing.” Like any other young person, Ellie sometimes dreams about having a wild romance that will last forever. Maybe someday, right?

B A C K G R O U N D:Ellie’s parents met as students at Salem Witches’ Institute but were never a couple during their school years. Her mother, Sabrina, is a muggle born witch but father, Theodore, is a half-blood who was raised in the magical world. Ellie’s father likes to tell them that he was madly in love with her from their second year on, but her mother scoffs at the idea that he was more interested in her than all the pretty Warren girls he seemed to take a liking to. They actually started a relationship after both had graduated and gone on to become Aurors for the Republic of Magic. Marriage followed not too long after a couple years together. The first child was Ellie’s older brother, Griffin, followed by her second older brother, Arthur. Two years later Eleanora came into the world. The last and youngest; the baby of the family.
Ellie and her brothers grew up relatively happy, though they often missed their parents terribly. Theodore and Sabrina were aurors, a job that required a good amount of travel and though they tried to have at least one of them be home while the other was gone, it was not easy. If this was impossible, the kids were brought to their Uncle Gerald’s house in Maine. He lived in a heavily forested area, close enough to the ocean that one could hike there in a few hours. All three children bonded greatly with their wizard uncle, but neither of her brothers grew as close to him as Ellie did. Her Uncle Gerald’s passion for adventure and learning might have been the reason he became a magizoologist in the first place, and he studied the area he lived in often to find magical life and creatures. He would take Ellie with him some days to explore the area surrounding his little house when she didn’t feel like riding around on a broom stick with her brothers. She took away more knowledge with her every time they stayed at his house while her parents away, and she was always looking forward to going back after each visit.
Unfortunately for Ellie, when she was ten, her uncle decided to move down to South America to study magical creatures there, especially the legendary Yacumama believed to live in the Amazon river. And so, the visits to Uncle Gerald’s had to come to an end. But this wasn’t such a bad thing. Both of Ellie’s brothers had already started attending Salem Witches’ Institute, and when she was old enough, Ellie also received her letter from the school.
