"Ritsu."

"Lorenzo..."

"Lieutenant, I'm not asking, I'm ordering you."

Regrettably, Ritsu handed the XO her gun, as he promptly stood up and followed Ian out of the room. With the same smile on his face, he followed him to where Zan where, and immediately shot Ian at the back of both of his knees, watching him fall to the ground.

"You're right, I am too idealistic... and you aren't special, you're pretty disposable," he muttered before kicking Ian hard across the jaw and stomping on his face, before shooting both of his shoulders while smiling in front of Zan. "A shame really, your sister was so happy that she was going to be able to see you again... to bad that you have your head so far up your ass that you can't see that you are nothing more than a battery for the Framewerks, can you? I could cut off your arms, your legs... hell, I could have you as nothing more than a brain and a spine to pilot my Framewerks while you live your life in a canister... would you like that?" he muttered as he stepped on Ian's face again.

"Listen to me, I don't give a fuck about you. You are worthless and disposable... and if you're going to continue with this shitty attitude of yours and refuse to cooperate, I will kill you and find someone else to pilot Anubis. Serah, remove this worthless piece of filth from my sights... oh and I almost forgot," Lorenzo promptly shot another bullet straight at Ian's ear, blowing a piece of it off, "I hear dogs are quite good doing well with just one ear, I wonder if the story holds true... or was that pigs? Doesn't matter, if you disappoint me again, the next bullet is going in your head."

With a final kick straight to Ian's hid Lorenzo calmly chuckled to himself before dismissing the rest of the group. "I think a certain pig would be saying... 'That's all, folks!'"
@Ammokkx

"Ah!" Barely dodging Kirrian's uppercut and letting him go for a split second... and grabbing onto him by his ankle, the female promptly growled a bit towards him. "Careful! I don't want to drop you!" she roared as she swung him back into her arms and promptly held him tight, before leaping straight into a large tree canopy that was a good distance from where Rickie was... levitating like an old man was at.

Performing a spinning acrobatic jump and placing Kirrian at the center as she landed, the female grinned as she sat down on a fluffy pillow and looked over the young man that she just kidnapped into her tree house hut.

Looking around, you can see that the hut you are in is surprisingly well kept and nice with a plethora of different kind of treasures ranging from paintings, drums, guitars, fiddles, flutes, cushions, dresses, and other things of the arts kinds that this female monkey probably has taken during her lifetime. Gleaming as she looks over you, she giggles before scurrying off to a corner and popping behind you with a comb as she begins to gently brush your hair.

"You really are a human... aren't you? You remind me of my mom," she says as she starts combing your hair softly as hums. "Waha, you play music with this thing?" The monkey pokes your guitar as looks at it, before laughing a bit. "Are you any good with it human?"

All the while as this is happening... you can't help but feel... annoyed almost... no, that isn't quite the feeling- you're pissed.

Why is this happening to me? Why does this stupid stuff keeping happening to me? Rickie can do all those amazing things... yet, I'm stuck with this nuisance that's treating me like a doll?

Voices. You begin to hear voices unlike anything else... but they are your own.

I've had enough of this bull crap that keeps on happening, it's one thing after another and this stupid girl is just decides to kidnap me all of a sudden.

The frustration turns to rage and you hear something, a familiar voice.

"Kill her, and I'll grant you power. Kill the annoyance, and you'll have power," murmurs the same voice as you heard from when you entered this land... and as you look down, you can see something forming in your hand. It looks like a broken piece of a drumstick... does the voice want you to use this on the monkey?

It seems you have a very grave choice at your hands... what will you do?

Bola's eyes became slits as he slowly emerged from the branches, showing his entire self without hesitation. Surprisingly, the lion was not on all-fours, but was walking on two legs and hand a humanoid body. He was large and tall with a muscular build to match, standing well over eight feet and balancing himself on the branches of the tree without any effort. He had human-like hands covered in black fur and twin tails both wrapped in leather. He wore leathery armor covering his chest and legs, but his lion-like feet were left bare as his claws were showing. Baring his fangs that were sharper than razors, Bola swung a double-sided dagger made out of bone before approaching Susan, sniffing her carefully before growling.

"You are not from here, Human. Scent, too clean," twirling the dagger and looking as if he would strike at any moment, Bola continued to observe and smell, "Scent smells to wrong and... strange. Almost as if you were kept hidden from the wilds and left in the city... but, there is no human city nearby for you to be this clean, so where did you come from, human?"

"While I appreciate your compliments and your offers of peace, they do not answer my question." Bola cracks his neck and leans down, staring deep in into your eyes as if to see if your next words are true or not.

"Where did you come from, human?"

Better choose your next words very carefully to convince the great hunter and not make him think you trying to think he is but a fool... for what you do here could either bring you great rewards in a powerful ally or consequences in an unintended foe...

@LetterA

"Help...?"

The celestial tiger lifted its head and closed its eyes, before sniffing the air.

"Hm... I see. You worry too much, human..."

Raising his mighty head into the air and letting out a large roar, the skies suddenly began to turn gray as the clouds began to gather immediately. Almost as if summoned by the roar of the great beast, rain started to fall and put out the fire that the tiger had smelled... however, upon closer inspection coco would notice that not a single drop was falling upon the tiger's fur, almost as if it were purposely avoiding him.

"That should solve your problem. The village is not too far from here, human. You'd do best to take shelter there... It's been a while since I have needed to call out the rain, and the forest must be mighty thirsty here."

"Ah... I don't believe I have asked for you name yet, little one," asked the tiger as it looked towards Coco.
Alrighty, I think a little explanation is in order here in Lorenzo's reasoning and his asshole-ness:

This fight was fixed from the start.

Based upon how everyone was, their background, and how they were raised and their personality, Lorenzo already knew the battle was most likely going to go the way it was going to go because of a few reasons:

1) Zan = Basically a Robot who would follow orders to his grave.

2) Korie would want to go for the Promotion of a squad leader no matter what.

3) Antwon would make a shakey partner due to his past

4) Ian would be a problematic partner for the females of the group, especially considering Korie and their reluctance to reveal their gender.

Based on this, Lorenzo figured there would probably be an all out brawl, multiple teams, or people would want to be the squad leader due to greed and a power struggle as is human nature.

Thus, this 'mock battle' was mostly a test to see if you were all able to overcome your flaws as individuals in order to work together as groups or to avoid a greater conflict... which mostly no one did except Sigma's group.

So, what I'm saying is that you were all doomed to fail from the start, since I set you all up to fail from the start.

This is also how Sigma earned their promotion, because they were the only one who attempted to form a group with others in order to obtain a common goal despite how shaky it was.

In truth, the real reason you all failed was not because you fought or didn't fail, but it was because you all failed to overcome your flaws as individuals. That, was what this 'mock battle' true agenda was about. Drills are not always meant to have a chance of success, and this was one of them. Take this lesson and learn it, because it'll prove invaluable in the upcoming fights.

Lorenzo may be an asshole, but he is no idiot.
Wow, Antwon really pissed the geezer off.

EDIT: Wow, he first chewed Utano out for not fighting, and then his reason for everyone failing is because they fought? Goddamn that pisses me off, what a hypocritical piece of shit.

"Yes, my puns are rather terrible, aren't they?" spoke Lorenzo as he casually walked towards Antwon and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It shouldn't matter what is in your way, a true soldier can overcome any obstacle and reach the greater threat, in this case Korie's Framewerk. You failed that. You, are weak."

"And, yes, I do have a lack of interest in you all, because to me, you are nothing more than stupid children," Lorenzo smiled a bit at Antwon- no, 'smile' would be too innocent and kind, his expression was something far different. Compared to his cheerful and usual demeanor, this 'face' of his was truly maddening. "Do you have any idea how close humanity is to being extinct?" Lorenzo squeezed Antwon's shoulder hard, almost as if he was intending to break it with force alone. "Every second I waste with pathetic things like you... every second I waste with worthless excuse for human beings like you thousands of humans die... Yet... here you are, thinking you are so special and deserving of attention? Heh, sure, you were gifted with great abilities to pilot MY Framewerks, MY devices that I created to defeat the Cruxi... yet here you are, thinking that you, who have done nothing but prove that they are useless failures, demand MY special attention and interest? You really are a fool, child."

"Sigma, the fatal flaw in your foundation? Simple," spoke Lorenzo as he stared at Antwon without even bothering to look towards Sigma, "I mentioned that you were bound to fail since the very beginning... I wasn't referring to the beginning of the match, I was referring to the moment you all came together. You are all so incompetent that you refuse to cooperate together. Let me ask you something, all of you... What is humanity's enemy?"

"The Cruxi," spoke Lt. Ritsu as she cleared her throat suddenly.

"Correct... however, since the dawn of man, humanity would fight each other instead of joining together against a common enemy... whether it be through deceit... subterfuge, assassination, political warfare... whatever, there is always a power struggle. The same as there was here. Sure, some of you worked together, but the truth was, the moment you all began to fight you all failed- you weren't supposed to. Humanity isn't supposed to fight each other, nor is it supposed to kill each other, that is a grim-dark past we have intended to bury and leave behind yet you all were aiming to do just that out there like a bunch of barbarians. Were the Cruxi here, they probably wouldn't even bother to fight you, they would probably allow you to kill each other and sit back and watch with a cup of tea in hand."

"You are all pathetic excuse for human beings and have disgraced the dead," spoke Lorenzo as he glared straight into Antwon's eyes, before lowering his hand and walking away.

"Also, my 'baseless' insults aren't as baseless as you may think. They're truths, and your flaws need to be improved, otherwise you are all going to die- simple."

"Oh... and congratulations, Sigma, you're hereby promoted to Squad Leader. You're the only one who actually attempted to form a group, and survived well beyond what I thought they would. Although, I fear your squad is incapable of taking orders or understanding how everything works from what I've learned and seen."

"Now leave," muttered Lorenzo as he sat down back into his seat and flipped a strange pass of sorts while shooing everyone away, "I need to figure out how to spend my all-day pass of relaxation~"
With a sigh at the hearing of failure, Korie just plopped into their seat and stared blankly into the darkness of their cockpit. Why did they bother helping the other two, when it was clear from the start that this was a free for all bout? Why didn't they just pull down Antwon and Perry, leave them to fight Sigma and Comet, Takeo and Sparrow... why did they decide to stay behind and fight? Not only that, but they got themselves stuck between Zan and their own Framewerk. Korie hadn't expected such a normal looking thing to become such a threat. Was that why the XO called off the battle, was it because Zan's Framewerk would have killed them all given the chance?

Korie paused a bit, because sighing again.

No, the professor isn't that kind. "I still remember first meeting him, and he practically called me a living battery, before treating the Framewerk like it was his own child," Korie muttered to themselves in the dark as they slowly crawled out of their Framewerk.

He must have gotten all that he wanted from this, or else Lorenzo probably would have allowed us to kill each other... or perhaps he just didn't want a bunch of kids to further damage his precious Framewerks.

Looking up, Korie stared at the choppers as the slowly descended to pick up not only them, but the other pilots as well.

"I really dislike that man..."

___________________________________________________________________________________________

"Alright you failures~!" spoke Lorenzo as he thoroughly enjoyed an expensively made sundae that many would kill for, "Considering no one won, I decided to declare myself the winner and help myself to this delicious sundae that was meant for the winner... oh, and the all day pass to the relaxation room~! So, while I enjoy myself, you all will be learning why you all failed today," he grinned as he took a scoop of ice cream and promptly ate it with delight, snickering like a devilish serpent.

After being picked up by the helicopters you were all escorted to a private briefing room, where Lorenzo was comfortably rolling around in a chair eating a rather large sundae. Compared to the synthetic stuff you have been eating, a sundae would be pretty nice right about now...

"Elora!" shouted Lorenzo suddenly, "You failed horribly for running from your enemy! While you did do good in teaming up, abandoning allies and then crying... and then taking the fetal position in one's cockpit as someone shoots you is a disgrace!" grinned Lorenzo as he pointed his spoon towards Elora. "Shame on thee~! However, I will give you points for charging straight towards someone while you yourself are not suited for combat and lasting as well as you did... along with being cooperative, though you are still far too passive."

"Utano! You were equally shameful... you practically stood there doing nothing, although, if you count shooting someone in the fetal position as something... then well, that's something. To be honest, I'm not too sure why someone like you is even here," he spoke, almost bored as he waved his spoon towards her. "Might as well throw yourself to the Cruxi and let them have your way with you... I can always find a replacement for your Framewerk."

"Sarah! You purposely started fighting without me starting and dragged your team with you, disqualifying yourself not only from the rest of the match but from Squad Leader... an idiot is what you are. If you want to kill yourself so badly," Lorenzo nodded towards the battlefield outside, "feel free to take a walk in that direction. You'll never be heard from again. Disobeying orders and letting your emotions get the best of you is a surefire way of being the first to die."

"Matsuda! You're too easy to give in to your emotions and you don't pay attention to your surroundings... If you would have ditched Sigma in the crater your Framewerk would have taken less damage and you might have been able to take on Zan after abandoning the weaker link to their inevitable fate. Sure, your Framewerk is unique in being able to repair, but it takes time... time you could have used to repair yourself."

Eating more of his sundae, Lorenzo pointed his spoon towards Ian. "Ian! While I am impressed how you can handled yourself in a Framewerk, you're too stupid and emotional... sorry, but it's true. Knowing when to fight your battles is a number one thing that all soldiers should know... and you fought a hilariously losing battle despite taking one with you. Also, making enemies that early on with comrades who wanted to take you down is always a dreadful sign of you needing to improve something my boy. Not only that, but the way you acted in the bathroom before the mock battle was quite cute," grinned Lorenzo as he waved his spoon, "seems Mr. Casanova is more of a Princess when he's alone."

"Speaking of emotional... Antwon, your display of controlling yourself was pathetic. Not my taste of music, but doing such actions on the battlefield would draw Cruxi everywhere, endangering everyone. Not only did you ignore covering your weaknesses, but you allowed a sneak attack. The traps were clever, however, the fact you didn't place any underground led to your downfall. Heh, clever pun if I do say so myself. Anyway, choosing to ignore Korie and going instead for Sigma and Matsuda costed you points, mainly because Korie at the time was a potentially bigger threat with that earthquake of theirs. They were moments away from collapsing the entire place, and yet you ignored them for whatever it is you were doing... I don't know, I lost interest to be honest. Might want to keep me interested next time, Antwon."

"Zanny! You performed excellently and exactly as I expected... and sadly, I'm disappointed because you did just that; perform exactly as I expected. You follow the rules without thinking... it's like I'm talking to a doll honestly. You failed because you did everything by the book, you didn't do anything differently from what I'd expect you to do. Think for once," muttered Lorenzo as he tapped his own forehead, "Sometimes it's better to be alive than it is to be a simple-minded machine, Zanny."

"Iskander! I don't really know what to say about you... you kind of did what I thought you'd do, although I did expect more out of you. I was looking forward to some more swordplay, but I guess that'll be for another day. Also, the fact that you stood there dumbfounded and didn't pursue a fleeing target also lost you a lot of points... especially someone who wasn't really meant for direct combat either."

"Korie! The fact that you performed a sneak attack upon Antwon was excellent... but the fact that you didn't abandon the weaker links when Zan showed himself and instead decided to 'sacrifice' yourself was beyond my comprehension. When fighting the Cruxi, the strong don't sacrifice themselves for the weak, it is the weak who sacrifice themselves for the strong... remember that. You lost a lot of points for that, although it was amusing."

"Finally, Sigma! Excellent job recruiting teammates and last as long as you did as a sniper, however you are terrible at keeping your team in check, considering one of them acted without permission and the other went off and abandoned you. Every plan you probably thought out or had, quite literally blew up in your face," laughed Lorenzo as he recalled the traps. "Your Framewerk in the end was a complete wreck, and at times you were at the mercy of your enemy, to be honest, you were quite a disgrace out there... yet, somehow, you were able to survive as long as you did. Despite that, you still failed because the situation since the very beginning was impossible for you to succeed."

Finishing his sundae and placing the empty bowl on the table behind him, Lorenzo crossed his legs and closed his eyes with a very serious expression as silence filled the room. He was harsh and everyone knew it. However, everything he said was true... and he wanted it to sink in and let everyone think for a bit on their flaws for a little bit. Sure, they may be kids... but they are also gifted kids, and perhaps to them this is some sort of game, but not to him. To him this is something far serious and he doesn't care how far he has to go to make these kids understand how grave the situation is.

After a long silence, Lorenzo stood up, with his signature grin returning on his face as he spoke.

"Now... does anyone have any questions before I announce who the squad leader will be?"
Busy busy day X_X Sorry...

Getting on the GM post right now!

Edit: Posted. Lorenzo's a harsh dick, but he points out each character's flaws accurately.
<Snipped quote by Gnar The Missing Link>

Not surprised, to be honest: Elora did do a Shinji after all. Shame that I'm not going to see Rilus' Ability any time soon. I actually wouldn't have minded getting to know it first and then drop all the way to the lowest scores.

It's possible to get Elora's Synch ratio up higher outside of combat by improving their mental condition to the 95% threshold. This can apply to the other pilots as well.

Combat is obviously the quickest and fastest way, but it's also the most dangerous way. However, out of combat activities and doing things that your character likes, and forming positive relationships with the other pilots can improve the Synch Ration significantly... as long as it is within character of course.
Are we going to get changed synchro ratings from the mock battle?

Yup! Synchro rates have changed based upon events that have transpired!

Here are the new Synchro Rates

Utano – Synchro Rate : 74% ^2%
Serah – Synchro Rate : 76% ^3%
Sigma – Synchro Rate : 82% ^4%
Elora – Synchro Rate : 87% v4%
Takeo - Synchro Rate : 85% ^1%
Antwon - Synchro Rate : 79% ^1%
Ian – Synchro Rate : 76% ^7%
Zan – Syncrho Rate : 99% No Notable Changes
Korie – Synchro Rate : 90% No Notable Changes
Iskander - Synchro Rate : 73% ^2%

Ian's Gain a + Modifier for fighting a 3vs1
Elora gained a - Modifier due to mentality.
Annnndddd posted.

Decided to do this since I feel we've dragged this on for a long time as is.

Feel free to have your character respond to Lorenzo's action, and then return to base~
