Hey guys! So I'm Gooblefly, also known as Luke, and I'm looking for some of you lovely folks to RP with! I've been absent from the site for a while, real life very much got in the way of pretty much everything, but now I'm back and I am itching to RP. Uh, I guess I'll start with a bit about me and my Rping habits.
- So, first of all, I am a guy and therefore my male characters are often better. That being said, I do want to practice female characters, so when it comes to the gender of my characters, ultimately I don't really mind which!
- I'm 21, so mature content is okay with me. By that, I mean that I'm okay not fading to black, but when it comes to darker tones like abuse and the like, I'd really rather not. Of course, I'm also totally okay fading to black if that's what you prefer, don't feel like just 'cause I said that I'm automatically wanting to delve into the raunchier stuff. However, I do prefer to Rp with people close to my own age, regardless of content.
- I'm Scottish, so UK time zones. Ultimately this means I usually only manage one post a day with people from different time zones, but depending on where you are, I check the site multiple times a day and if I see that it's my turn to reply, I will usually start writing stuff there and then. However, I'm also a Uni student, so there may be days where studying takes priority. Ultimately, know I try to reply once a day min. but it isn't always possible,
- I write at a low-mid casual standard, pretty good punctuation and spelling (although I tend to write when I'm quite sleepy so I am prone to making mistakes) and would like a similar standard from any partner. Usually I'll write at least a paragraph, but I have to be pretty stuck to not write more than that. I more often than not try to match the amount my partner writes.
- I like my 1x1s to involve some degree of romance, but not so much that it devours the plot. Having a couple helps add to the writing, but that is by no means the entirety of the story. Ultimately, I'd like some romance aspect to any story, but I don't want it to entirely focus on it, I just like it being there. I personally am bisexual, so I'm okay with MxM/FxF and anywhere in between.
- Lastly, I only play original characters. I know some people enjoy playing canonical characters, but that stuff just doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Anyway, there are only a few things that I'm craving, but ultimately I just like RPing. If you have a plot that you've wanted to RP for a while, please feel free to PM it to me and if I'm interested I'd be happy to RP that with you. I list the things I know I want to do, but that doesn't mean there aren't things I don't know I want to do... If that makes any sense.

Aaaanyway, the things I really want to RP are

- Beginner Pokemon RP - I don't know what it is, but I always enjoy Pokemon RPs. I would really like to RP something where we both play beginner trainers starting off around the same time and we just travel together. It's simple but always charming and really fun!

- Superheroes - I'm pretty into superheroes, but not 'Look at me I'm super awesome and able to do anything' supers. I like proper hero development, so edgy backstories and violent super fights. My idea for this is that one of us plays a Suicide-Squad-esque villain forced to be good, and the other plays a washed up hero placed in charge of them.

- Yu-Gi-Oh - Because I'm trash. I've been a Yu-Gi-Oh player my whole life, and I've been really into the anime recently. I was thinking of setting it in a GX kinda setting, so a dueling school. It seems like the easiest situation to have random events happen and somehow formulate a story around children's card games.

- Harvest Moon - Because farming is relaxing as feck. So, the plot would be something along the lines of character one has inherited a farm from a family member and has moved to an isolated town with no idea how to actually run the place. Their only saving grace is the neighbour, character two, an experienced rancher. Of course details are open to change and I'm also open to the idea of mixing this plot with Pokemon elements, I've done it before and it was really great.

Anyway, that's all I've got for now, ask any questions you want to ask and PM me if you want to RP!
West glanced around at the room, taking in every detail before relaxing his stance and letting his sword drop to his side.
"Yeah, that's the last of them." He nodded, loading up his stat screen. The Goblins had given a lot of experience, more than he had expected. That meant clearing this dungeon was certainly the correct move for them, they would quickly become the strongest players in the game. He put the screen away with a swipe and picked up whatever loot had been dropped by the creatures. There wasn't much, but combined with the quests they had picked up they would be able to live comfortably for a couple of days by his calculations. So far, everything was looking pretty good.

"According to the guide, the boss is down the central path, we just need to walk straight down and we'll wind up at his door." He opened up an image of the map he had copied from the book, letting it hang in the air so Brielle could see it too. "However, the notebook says there's a staff here." He pointed to a point on the map, down a long path to the right "It's special, there's only one in the game and probably the strongest you'll find on this floor of the game. If we grab it now, we'll have an advantage over the other players" He lowered the map, nodding to the door to his right and left "It's up to you, wanna go straight for the boss or wanna get some new gear?"
With only one of the armoured goblins to deal with, West realized he had the time to experiment. When they fought the wasp and the boars, his mind had been on other things like their imminent survival, but now he was able to take the time and learn. He walked slowly around the goblin, gauging its reactions as he did. The creature attacked wildly, charging at West without a care time after time, despite the seemingly futile nature of its assaults. The attacks seemed to be unpredictable, totally erratic, but West knew better. This game was realistic, but it was still a game by it's very nature. No matter how close they got, the programmers couldn't create a sentient being, it was all just data flashing before his eyes. It took him six parries to notice a trace of the pattern and another three after that to figure out what he was doing.

West swung into action quickly, stepping to the left and in doing so dodging attack that hadn't even begun yet. He dragged his sword along the stone floor, creating a trail of sparks he smacked the goblin from behind with the flat of his blade. The Goblin was quick to react, spinning around and lunging at West with its dagger, but West was already ready for it. He raised his sword slightly, positioning it perfectly so the Goblin ended up diving straight into the tip of his blade, the dagger falling a couple of inches short of West's chest. There was a crack and the Goblin vanished into a cloud of particles. West smirked, satisfied with his mind as he checked the room for any more of the creatures.
As soon as Brielle disintegrated the first Goblin, a couple more emerged from the tent to the side. He held his sword up, dashing forward and stepping in front of Brielle, kicking through the ash of what was once a Goblin. The Goblin swung a tiny pickaxe towards West, but he was prepared. He spun around, flicking the tiny pick upwards with his sword and sending it sailing through the room. With a quick step to the side to dodge a desperate bite from the beast, he lunged forwards with his blade, piercing through the chest of the Goblin. It shattered into shards and West readied himself for the next attack, eyeing up his surroundings.

The remaining two Goblins were different, wearing makeshift armour of any scrap metal they may have found. West concentrated and suddenly he was aware of other movement within the room. His eyes darted over to the other side of the room and was suddenly aware of a small creature creeping around the edge of the room. It was another Goblin, dressed in rags and without any sign of a weapon. A series of similar looking creatures from other games flashed through his mind before it suddenly struck him.

He changed his stance, holding his sword upwards in a protective stance as he reached for a knife in his back pocket. The armoured Goblins stood their ground, watching West carefully as he concentrated on the Goblin creeping along the back. All of a sudden, he dived to the right, taking the knife and tossing it towards the creature. His suspicions were confirmed as one of the armoured Goblins intercepted quickly, letting the knife ping off his armour.
"Brielle, that Goblin is trying to escape, he'll attract more goblins if we let him get out." He spoke quickly, moving forwards and preparing himself to fight the armoured Goblins "I'll distract these two, if you get the shot take it!"
West had scanned the journal on the walk here and had the beginning of their route mapped out in his head, including what to expect in each room.
"The dungeon features a lot of goblin enemies, pretty simple but they can be worrying in large numbers." He began to explain, carefully poking stairs in front of him with the tip of his sword, searching for traps "The first room probably won't offer too much danger, it'll be designed to teach us what to expect deeper within instead of attempting to kill us." He had encountered Goblin style enemies in other games and could expect certain things from these enemies, but it was still going to be a new experience and he was certainly on edge about it. The notebook gave a lot of detail about the creatures, their weakness to fire and how quick they were were mentioned in fantastic detail, but it still felt like certain things were missing.

After what was beginning to feel like an eternity, the stairway began to level out and suddenly West found himself in an archway, standing before a well lit room. Inside the moss covered walls he could make out a pair of small tents on either side, made simply from very crude leather and rope. In the center of the room was a large fire pit and on further inspection, West could make out a series of small holes in the wall.
"Here we are." West mumbled quietly to Brielle "Looks like... Four, maybe five goblins." He said, although he couldn't actually see any of the creatures, he had no doubt that they were inside the tents. He stopped and began to calculate, figuring out the best way to deal with the situation.
"It's a group fight, so we should try to make them panic, it'll weaken them greatly. Set fire to the tents, it'll send them scattering then we focus on taking them down one at a time."
West nodded but remained silent. He could see that Brielle was slightly shaken by the encounter and it only served to make him feel worse. He should have been able to figure something out, something that didn't endanger anyone, but his mind just simply wouldn't obey him. Right now, he only had two settings; off and total offense. West needed to figure something else out, otherwise he would be putting both his and Brielle's life in danger.

It didn't take too long from there to reach the entrance of the dungeon, a huge set of old looking wooden doors embedded in the side of a rocky outcrop. West's feet had carried him here faster than he had expected, probably given how shaken he was from the last fight. He was eager to do something that he knew he could succeed at. The dungeon was large, the doors would open to a stairway that would lead them to a series of catacombs filled with all manner of enemies and treasure. Of course, the biggest advantage to being the first ones here was that the armour and weapons within the dungeon were theirs for the taking. And, to make matters better, they had a map to all the things that they would need.

West flicked open his inventory, double checking that he had everything he was going to need. The dungeon was going to be long and hard, a strain on both of them, but West was prepared. His heart was thumping eagerly in his chest, every beat feeling like his heart was trying to pull him towards the door. He drew his sword and turned to Brielle, placing one hand on the door in preparation.
"You ready?" He grinned.
West took Brielle's staff in his still trembling hands and walked away like he was told. Brielle had trusted him and now it was his turn to trust her. West wandered a little up the path, before taking a seat in the grass with his legs crossed. He could still see where Brielle stood, just in case a fight broke out and he needed to run over, but even then he wasn't quite sure how to tackle the situation. His mind was still racing with strategy, all of them involving lethal methods or situations where his own life would be at risk. The only way he could see to win the fight was to talk them out of it, but West didn't posses that skill. He trembled slightly, still panicking, as he watched Brielle. He couldn't hear what she was saying, but he could see her confidence. West was worrid about her, but he had to trust in her capabilities.

And, all of a sudden, the three thugs began to move. West stood up, grabbing his sword and preparing to dash forwards and aid her in the fight. But, he paused when the three walked straight past her and back towards the town. He didn't know what she had said, but it had worked. She had diffused the situation without having to hurt anyone. Slowly, West put his sword back into its sheathe, letting out a sigh of relief. He had drawn the sword without thinking, if a fight had broken out he would have been going in blind and he almost certainly would have killed someone. The thought of what he was willing to do scared him, he felt sick to his very core. They were scared and stupid, he could see that, but he was willing to kill them to protect his and Brielle's lives, he had never considered such a thing before.

Kill or be killed. This world was dangerous, West had prepared himself for that but he hadn't begun to consider the danger of other people. He had prepared himself to keep himself ahead of the curve, so much so that other people wouldn't want to challenge him. But, people were stupid and in desperation they would attempt to fight him despite the imbalance in their levels. If they did, West would have to fight back and he didn't know what his mind would make him do. Fighting in a dungeon was one thing, he was just killing programs, they didn't breathe. West closed his eyes and breathed for a moment.
"Thanks Brielle." West mumbled, starting to realize how much he was going to need his partner in this world "I uh... Sorry I couldn't do anything."
West clicked his tongue against his teeth impatiently. Every second they spent with these imbeciles in his path was a second that West wasn't clearing the dungeon. He shot a glance at Brielle, he wouldn't have agreed to partnering up with her if he had known she was going to cause trouble this early on. He sighed, stepping to one side and swiping at the air in front of him. The names and levels of the three bandits hovered before him. The ringleader was level three, the patsys were only level two. His mind started to race. He could easily parry through the axe, disarm the dagger wielder and take out the guy with the mace in one swing. He would take a couple of blows from the back, but he could kill the...

Suddenly he froze a look of worry flashed across his face. That tactic would put his own life at risk in order to guarantee at least two kills, but this game didn't work like that. In any other virtual world, he would happily cleave through the thugs regardless of the outcome, but it was too risky here. West may not understand people too well, but he had no intentions to murder anyone. He had destroyed so many pixelated people before, but if he were to hit one of these people with his sword, they would actually cease to exist. They would actually die. He tried to calm himself, taking a deep breath and concentrating on the situation at hand. He could disarm the axe wielder and power strike the... His power strike could do some serious damage and if he made a critical hit then it could possibly kill the opponent.

West's eyes darted around the area, numbers racing through his mind. He couldn't see it, he couldn't figure out how to win the fight. He didn't have a plan that didn't involve lethal fighting styles and in this game that wouldn't work. West couldn't kill anyone, this situation needed the people skills that he had always lacked. Right now, he was nothing more than a mass of flesh and muscle. He couldn't talk his way out of anything. He kept his hand clutched on his sword, ready to fight if the circumstance arose, but apart from that, he was lost.
"I slept fine." West mumbled, keeping his eyes on the board in the center of the square. People were streaming through, taking pages off as the accepted quests, but there were a handful of pages towards the top of the board that were completely untouched. West got to his feet and reached into his bag, pulling out a small parcel wrapped in brown cloth.
"Here. It's potions, antidotes and a teleport crystal. I set them to the inn we stayed at." He handed her the satchel, still looking at the board, watching the flow of people carefully. Suddenly, without a word, he darted forwards. Without so much as a misplaced foot, West swiped a couple of pieces of paper off the board, crammed them into his pocket and stepped away before anyone had time to see exactly what he was doing. He ran his fingers back through his hair as he made his way back to Brielle, not looking back but nervous in case anyone spotted him. When he was sure he had gotten away with it, he pulled the papers out of his pocket. He scanned over them and grinned, showing them to Brielle.

"Quests." He explained "They're for the dungeon we're going to, that's why no-one else has touched them yet." They were simple goals, like gathering moss from the cave walls or killing enough of the enemies inside, but they would generate income for the pair of them. West was starting to realize that if this was going to be their lives, they needed to treat it like an actual job. The two of them were adventurers now, that meant they would need money for potions and gear repairs, as well as shelter and food. That meant they would need to accept quests for money or else end up like the people begging on the streets. The boar quest had gave them both some money, but between the beds, food and today's supplies, the remaining pile of coins was pretty small.

"Anyway, let's get a move on." West stretched his arms and loaded up his map "The dungeon is in the North, above the forest. It's only about twenty minutes walk from here. We should be there in no time." He said, tracing out the route with his finger before quickly closing the map again so no-one else would see what they were up to. This was going to be dangerous, but with their combined skills they would be able to hold their own, the last thing West wanted to do was trick others into thinking that the dungeon was going to be easy. They also didn't want anyone to follow them when their health bars would probably drop pretty low multiple times getting through the dungeon itself. Still, the town was pretty quiet this early, so there was a very slim chance that they would get spotted. Lutwin began to stride towards the northern most gate of the town. Today was the first day of clearing the dungeon, the two of them were going to fight their way through. Together they would be able to take on this dungeon, a part of West even felt like they might be able to take the boss if everything went perfect.
West awoke with the sun, blinking as he adjusted to his surroundings. As the simple wooden interior came into focus, he smiled slightly. So, this wasn't some strange dream, he was still here. That meant he still had things to do. He got to his feet and got dressed in a matter of seconds, grabbing his sword and swiftly moving into the main body of the inn. There were a few tired looking players scattered around, all looking heartbroken and alone. The first morning must be hardest for the people who wanted to go home West pondered as he strode towards the door. He was about to step out into the morning light when he remembered that he should be waiting for Brielle, but he didn't want to waste any time and didn't want to wake her either.

"Could you pass a message to my... Friend?" West approached one of the NPC bar staff, quickly writing Brielle a message telling her where to find him and leaving it in the shopkeep's hands. He was aware of people looking at him oddly, but West was used to it. These tired players were watching him, obviously confused at how easily he had already adapted to the new world, but West really didn't care. Instead, he took to the streets of the town, trying to find anything of interest.

The town was much busier than before, with players sleeping on streets and sitting in alleys begging for food. West turned the other way, having more important things to worry about. Eventually, he found what he was looking for, a town square of sorts. It wasn't a large town, not like the town they had started the game in, but it was decent in size. On his way here, West had stopped into a few shops, buying essentials like health potions for him and Brielle, but his objective had been to find a town square. Sure enough, West found what he was looking for. In the center of the square, a few players loitered around a large wooden board with scraps of paper nailed onto it. These were players like him, already forgetting about the other world and learning to play the game. He didn't approach any of them, but took a seat in the shade and watched from a distance. None of them seemed prepared to take out the dungeon, which meant he and Brielle would hopefully avoid company, but they all looked confident enough as players. Already there were people forming groups and guilds in order to get ahead of the competition, to become the strongest.
