“E...Everything is paid… paid for… I’m going... going to stay here… and do… do some digging… radio… radio me if… if you need something,” Arlius stammered. She quickly turned from the group and briskly walked off to the body of the salarian. She bent down next to the stiff body and examined the poor fellow. She scanned him quickly with her eyes before pinpointing his omni-tool.

Arlius quickly pulled out her own omni-tool and kneeled next to the body. She disconnected the omni-tool from the dead fool and connected it to her own. She then used her omni-tool to sync up all the data stored inside of his omni-tool. She stared at the salarian quietly, death was a curious topic with Arlius. She was not at all bothered by it, instead she was quite the opposite. It intrigued her, everyone stresses how much they should live their life to the fullest and yet they die all the same, whether or not you achieved anything.

Arlius then was brought back to her attention as she skimmed through his recent bank transactions. She let out a sigh but stopped midway and stood quickly. Right before their meeting Yarsin was given 50,000 credits from some random bank account. There was no description on the transaction, but the group finally had some sort of lead. She quickly pulled out her radio.

“Guys I have a lead.”
Arlius reached for her radio just as the explosion went off. She took a step back, expecting the worse until Kali came around the corner back into the plaza. She released a sigh of relief at the sight. She then looked around spotting Alexa. The human could have gotten herself killed, what an idiot. She began to walk toward her until Raze started talking. Arlius put Raze in high respect, he was the only one of them who knew what they were doing. He told it how it was and he was not someone to mess around with. Arlius admired that.

After Raze finished speaking Arlius continued her walk to Alexa. She was already bleeding quite a lot before she began running, but running dilates the blood causing blood flow to increase. She was lucky she stopped running when she did or she could have bled out. Arlius pulled out her omni-tool and was a little blinded by the white glow. It was quite dark out but she continued searching for the nearest hospital.

"You... You shouldn't have... have uh.. run... It increases blood flow... We... we need to get you... you to a hospital now," she forced out. Arlius scolded herself for stuttering at such a time, hopefully she wouldn't be like this the entire mission. "I g-g-got us a.. a car... two actually.... we can't all fit... fit in one..."
It may not have been apparent in my original writing but I tried to say she was working on it but never been able to finish. But I'll fix it anyways though. Sorry man.
"Oh shit!" Arlius exclaimed as Alexa got shot. The rifle the shooter was using had cause the damage of an up close shotgun. She was in aw of the gun, it was a thing of beauty, she began to map out the mechanics. Arlius didnt even have the capability to create such a beauty of a weapon. Suddenly brought back to reality by yelling, Arlius stood.

"Wait..." she started to yell but Alexa and Kali were off. She bent down again and turned to Raze next to her. "That guy may have been supplied with more weaponry similar to his rifle. The diameter of his bullets were much larger than an average rifles to rip through her shields..." she had started but suddenly began relaying what she was thinking. Arlius quickly stopped and thought back to weapons she had made. Arlius had been working on a weapon like this but it was too difficult even for her and she didn't have the resources on Omega's black market. She felt a little disappointed in herself that she couldn't create such weapon.

She knew none of her teammates weapons were even close to the capability of these peoples weapons. They were no joke, if they had aimed for Alexa she wouldn't be here. It not only ripped through the salarian but also through Alexa's shield and shoulder. Arlius slid down the wall of the balcony and sighed. She didn't have the time to come up with better weaponry for the group and they may not even need it. Most of them, well all of them had some sort of biotic capabilities. She was the only one who didnt. Arlius was useless after all. She shook her head and got rid of the thought before jumping over the balcony. She tripped at the bottom and fell on her face but quickly picked herself up.
Arlius sighed, she never thought a human would be telling her what to do. She pulled her pistol out as she climbed the stairs to the balcony. She had to give it to the human male, it was a good vantage point. Her pistol definitely had the firepower of a sniper but whether or not it had the aim was another story. Of course partly of aim included the users ability. Arlius always tested her guns in her own homemade firing range. Although a firing range is not a good judge of how a real firefight will end. Arlius had to admit she felt kind of useless, she didn't want to be protected. Arlius didnt want to be out of the line of fire, she knew how to use a gun. Maybe not as well as these other mercs but she had shot numerous guns.

Arlius reached for her bag to grab a scope but she quickly realized she didn't have her bag. She was not prepared to jump into a mission, she had not brought most of her building supplies. Arlius quietly groaned, she was going to need to get supplies one way or another. Arlius quickly peaked through a hole in the old balcony at the person they were meeting. She didn't even know his name because she was too busy thinking of other things. He was scrawny, he didn't look like a source for this so called puppet masters. Who were these puppet masters anyways? What do they do? Arlius knew she was going to do some serious digging soon.
Arlius stared at the newcomers for a few minutes, letting each speak. She recognized Aria's Fist, she had conducted quite a bit of business with Aria. Although she had only met with Aria once and she probably wouldn't even remember her. Arlius was never a fan of humans, they wanted so much so fast and she just found it annoying. Arlius stepped back a bit as the asari addressed her. She always had admired the asari, they were older than turians and way more graceful. That's why turians don't have a good reputation for their dancing skills.

"I... I'm Arlius... I'm an engineer of advanced weaponry... And... Well... A hacker.. A good one..." she said trying her best to keep herself together. Arlius knew that she was the least experienced on the battlefield out of all of them. But she wasn't afraid to kill every single one of them if they got in the way of her credits. She wasn't known for having any morals especially when credits are involved. Which is the reason she stole so much money as a teenager, if she felt she deserved it and the people who had it didn't. Arlius felt no remorse or pitty for doing so.
Arlius stared at the quarian in disbelief, did she look like a liaison? She could barely talk, why would anyone have her running around talking to people? Arlius took a deep breath and gathered herself.

“I… I don’t know who the Client is. He just wanted my t… techs skills and offered a large sum of credits… That’s it.” Arlius said. She was a little proud she got that out with little to no stuttering “Excuse my weird actions, I tend to conduct my business through messages… Not in person...” She then looked back up at the masked creature. Quarians were a very interesting race. Very tech savvy, she admired them. Turians were all about war. If she hadn’t left at the age of 15, she would have joined the military.

Arlius heard footsteps behind the quarian and groaned when she saw what it was. A krogan. Krogans hate the turians after they had a large hand in the play of the Genophage. Arlius put her hand on her gun and watched the krogan. She almost laughed at his comment, he probably thinks he is all high and mighty because he knows how to shoot a gun. He probably doesn’t know anything past that, just like every other god damn merc she has worked with.
Arlius stood there mouth open, blank faced at the quarian for a second. He had called her ‘The Client’, which meant one thing. She was going to be working in a group.

“Oh God,” she said in almost a shout. She quickly shoved her hand over her mouth and attempted to pace her breathing. Arlius was not accustomed to working with other people. She wasn’t like most who didn’t like it, she was deathly afraid of social contact of any sort. Arlius finally got her breathing slower than hyperventilating status.

“N-n-no… I’m… I’m not the client,” she finally said after a few minutes. Arlius steadied herself and finally turned to the quarian. “I… I’m… Arlius… I’m… afraid… we might be... w-w-working together.” Arlius tried to say the words but fear tensed her up and caused her to have a stutter. She scolded herself for being so awkward and weird, it was not professional at all. All she wanted to do was run back to her home on Omega and cry.
Arlius very rarely strayed from her penthouse in Omega. She never had friends to go anywhere with so therefore there was no need to leave her house. She could have any supplies she needed delivered directly to her doorstep and all her work was out of her home. But when ‘The Client’ came to her with a proposal for a large sum of credits and the chance to put her tech skills to the test, she could not pass it up. Which is why Arlius found herself arriving on Illium.

Illium was very different from anything Arlius was used to. Palaven was very military based, but Illium was… beautiful. She very rarely used that word to describe any place. The sights were more glorious than any god forsaken building she had seen on Omega, even Illium smelled better. “Maybe I should move to Illium…” muttered Arlius sarcastically to herself. If she left Omega, she would have to commute back there to pick up the black market supplies she needs for her weapons.

A car met Arlius just outside the docking bay. She leaned back staring out the window as the docking bay disappeared into the distance. The driver sped through Illium until they stopped in front of the meeting place. Arlius nodded at the driver in thanks and handed him a few credits. She left him without ever speaking a word.

Arlius stood before the doors pacing her breathing. It was always stressful for her to meet clients in person, she usually conducted her business through messages. With the mercs she could relay her communication through simple gestures, like a nod or a shake of the head. It never required her to speak. But she had a sickening feeling she would be doing quite a lot more talking then she was used to.

The slim turian looked around the building and saw no one. She was sure she was here on time but there was no sign of this so called.. Client. She opened up her white omni-tool and looked at her message. She had not been notified that he would be late or that he would be unable to come. She opened up the contact for the car she had on standby, but instead closed it. This ‘Client’ had a big sum of credits and she was not about to pass that up. Arlius decided she would wait a few more minutes before she left.
I guess I'll go ahead. If I mess anything up let me know.
