Biography:Gideon Jackson was the eldest son of an upper middle class family, whom owned land and operated a large tapestry business along the banks of the River Humber. His mother died at the age of 6 and his father was left to solely care for the family's, six children. He taught Gideon the essence of hard work and to earn his own respect through discipline and hard work. For a time the family business endured modest prosperity, however, with a newly arriving industrial presence, several large trade organizations and aggressive enterprising baronies began to sweep into the ancient Humber valley; driving many ancestral land owners out of business.
When the Jackson estate came under considerable competitive burdens, Gilroy Jackson sold the family estate for less than market value and relocated the family to Kingstone where life in Old Commons became the new way of life. Upon reaching early adolescence, Gilroy uncovered the family's remaining fortune, contacted every known business favor and lending creditor to acquire enough capital to purchase Gideon a considerable officer's commission. Soon afterwards, Gideon's acceptance ensured his enrollment within the Kingstone Royal Military Academy's prestigious cadet program.
Gideon's progress as an officer cadet accelerated dramatically and he soon earned a 2nd Lieutenant squireship commission within the Isle's 77th Lightstream Foot Guards. Constant deployments followed and kept Gideon away from the family whilst the Kingdom's many battlefields proved a near mortal companion. His steady rise through the ranks and constant battlefield deployments earned an eventual Lieutenant Colonelcy, where steady penchants not only paid off old debts, but brought the family out of the Old Commons. Near constant deployments nevertheless kept Gideon away from the family and as the Kingdom's battlefields expanded, so too did his time in the field.
These days, few subjects frighten him, if anything, and many horrifying campaigns have detached his fear for death or danger. Gideon's dignity still allows the Humber native to reserve proper morals and high regard for human life. The man has demonstrated a remarkable ability to maintain a level headed calmness during most frenetic developments and execute intelligent decisions under definitive fire. The selected friends, fellow fighting brethren, and ship companions proved enough to prevent outright insanity. If anything, a good honest drink and a jaw dropping woman's bosum have served the officer well in the midst of constant Kingdom struggles and military life.
