Current Memes aside, pineapples on pizza is ok actually. Being shat on for liking things different from other people gets old after a while.

Asmodeus

It would seem she was not called here to do battle.

Ignoring the others for a moment, she looked over the graveyard, noting the entrance just further away, and the lack of anything else in it. Why did she think she was called here to do battle again? Asmodeus was called here to do something, but she had no idea what it was. Perhaps it was to kill these other people that came here? If so, then why did they get the call as well? The two that came later seemed very talkative as well. One even patted her shoulder, which, judging from the way he was acting, seemed to be the norm for him.

"My name is Asmodeus. I seek the Voice that Calls for answers."

Her voice sounded distorted and louder from under the helm, like the low grumbling of thunder. Whether it was the shape or the construction of the helm, she did not know, but it was something new for her; Asmodeus had never really spoken β€” or remembered speaking β€” to anyone with her helm on, much less without it.

Now that she was actually paying attention, those two certainly looked strange. They were... things she had never seen before. The rugged looking stout looking fellow towering over even her was curious, but the other one was smooth and slinky, attracting her attention more. The way he stood, the shape of his body, the texture of his skin. He looked...

Well, he looked soft and chewy. Her stomach rumbled as it reminded her she did not eat anything since morning.

It was a bit surprising β€” but extremely gratifying β€” to have that wide sweep actually hitting anything, but it was even more surprising to have a sudden shockwave blasting her off her perch. It was enough to knock most of her growing bloodlust out of her and replace it with surprise.

She fell some distance away from the group, landing on her side before rolling to a stop. It was fortunate then, that her concentration was broken from that sudden impact of the shockwave hitting her perch; had she landed on her arms when it was translucent, she would, perhaps, had broken something, or even tore off a limb. Grunting, Hazel raised herself off the ground, oblivious to the orders Angel had barked out from the landing and slight feeling of disorientation that came after.

It was perhaps excusable that she froze for a moment upon seeing those high flying spiders, bringing down a large net upon their group. Hazel was sure she could protect herself if she rolled on her back and just projected her palms out above her, but the others will not be so lucky, nor will they have enough time to go under her cover. She could possibly destroy the web enough to render it useless, or at least not as effective, but that required her to shift her position from lying on the ground to one where she could use both her hands, taking precious time she might not have.

"They don't matter." you can't leave them like this

"Casualty. Unfortunate casualties." you aint that kinda gal

"The mission comes first. Your safety comes first." what would she say

Perhaps there was a better way. Perhaps there was something she missed, something that could simultaneously protect them from being caught under a net as well as the attacks from the approaching clockwork monsters. Pushing those whispers out of her head, Hazel acted without thinking, first projecting a large arm to sweep everyone near her away from the danger, before sitting up and projecting a large hand, grasping for the web coming overhead.
She opened her eyes, ending the ritual and dismissing the gathered kami.

A safe way through the perimeter, where the rain had driven those anons into the buildings for shelter. A welcome bit of luck; she had no idea if she could fight for very long with a gut wound. Had she been at home, there were supplies there she could at least use to treat herself. It won't be perfect, but she won't be in any danger of bleeding out or having infections either.

Hiding the Cavalier behind a desk, and piling his weapons there so the anons don't steal them, she exited the building, following the instructions of the local kami.

Juniper stopped at the exit, staring up into the rainy sky. It was a very rare sight, for water to just fall out of the sky like this. She stretched out her hand, feeling the raindrops upon it, before finally stepping out into the rain. So much water, just falling out of the sky, and no one was fighting over it. It felt refreshing, and it soothed her bruises, but she wasn't sure if it was doing her wounds any good. But still, she lingered a bit more, enjoying the feeling of rain upon her skin.

Sighing, she materialized an umbrella, and opened it up.

It was a bit late, considering she was already soaked to her skin, but still, it was a projection she rarely ever made, and the sound of rain pattering on the umbrella was quite pleasant to her ears. Almost enough to make her forget about the pain in her abdomen.

It didn't take her too long to spot the vehicle, being the only one there in the rather conspicuously empty space. Dropping the umbrella by her feet, she knocked on the vehicle, waiting for any answer.

Her breathing was growing heavier, the corners of her mouth twitching from the sheer excitement filling her mind.

Her collar was clicking steadily, beating steadily and rhythmically like an alien heart. Hazel was sure the logo on the front had turned red as a warning. It meant she was dangerously close to shorting out her reason. Being shut down right now wouldn't be good, especially with so many of those creatures left for her to destroy. I don't want to die.

The smoke from all the explosions was to be expected, but she suspected she wouldn't have time to throw out another one from what she had seen of those thing rushing towards her. With the others so close to her, she wouldn't be able to simply do a wide sweep blindly as well. Hazel checked her shoes to confirm she still had the wishalloy there before nodding to herself.

She jumped, before materializing her hand underneath her and lifting herself higher out from the smoke, where she could see two clockwork dogs on either side and more rushing in from the front. go away go away GO AWAY

With only one hand left to use in her projections, she materialized a sword, a perfect copy of the sword she had bought, down to the way the hilt was made, and the curiously shaped pommel. Similar, but larger and sharper. With a sweep of her hands, she swept her hand in a wide gesture, bringing the projected sword down to the left and slashing in a wide arc towards the right. It was as much an attack on the approaching clockwork monsters as it was a warning to not approach. dont worry dont worry dont worry
ill protect you
Sorry. I have to back out on this one. ^^;

I just dont have a solid idea for any sort of characters I want to make, so Id rather not join with a halfassed CS.
It took but a little while to calm her breathing.

The voice that emanated from that flying bot didn't seem at all that trustworthy, nor would she truly trust anyone from that place. There was so much she did not understand about this tournament that it was almost a given they would try to pull one over her some time soon.

Turning to the package she was given, she took out the rosary, looking incredulously at the item. If it was some sort of powerful healing item, she did not know how to activate it, nor did she know any sort of spells relating to these sort of items. It was glorified trash for her, but it would be rude to throw it away just like that. Slipping it into her clothes, she turned and looked around.

The first thing she did was take away the old world gun from the anon, as well as any of its bullets that he may still have. It probably wouldn't affect how aggressively it acted, but at least now he wouldn't be running around killing random people, not that easily anyways. Slipping the gun into her clothes, she materialized an exorcising stick. Juniper swished it around for a few moments, making sure it was sturdy, before starting on the ritual.

Wordlessly she searched out for a local kami.

It did not take long before she was positively inundated by several of the local kami. Having no real contact with local priests or shaman, they were doubly surprised β€” and excited β€” to see anyone seeking their attention. How long had it been since anyone worshiped them here?

Juniper took a deep breath and tried direct her questions at them, mainly about which path was safest, whether there was another safer path, and if there was some sort of supplies nearer to her that she could use to treat her wound better.

It was strange, to see such a figure walking down that path.

A dark figure, bearing such imposing armor, a knightly form without a steed, discharging bolts of electricity every now and then. Had she not been alone, or had her helm hung on her belt, it would not be out of the question for anyone to think a Dark Lord was coming to claim the town. How many would even try to stop her if she was?

Asmodeus had forgotten how long it was since she first stepped out of that tomb, that underground dungeon she first woke up in. It had taken her quite a while before realizing she was hungry. She had been gnawing on random lizards she had electrified before finally finding this lush land of green. Now she gnawed on only the fat lizards. It was certainly a step up from the skinny lizards. At the very least, even if she had no answers to her questions, she knew where to find good food.

Her hand snapped to the hilt of her sword, as a voice echoed in her mind.

A voice, familiar yet foreign, but lacking something. Something she had always associated with a voice in her head. What it was she did not know, but call for her it did, and so she must answer.

With a single fluid motion, she snapped the helm from her belt and onto her head, fastening it securely before sprinting down the path towards the town. Even running at full speed, it took a while for her to reach the town gates, and even more trying to find where the graveyard was. There were some that looked concerned the moment she flew in, but most paid her no mind, writing her off as perhaps having one too many drinks. Several scared children afterwards, she finally managed to find an old man willing to direct her to the graveyard.

The graveyard seemed empty, but she approached it carefully nonetheless, unsheathing her sword as she looked cautiously around. There was an opening just a few metres away, but she was loathe to approach it without knowing why it was she was called here.

She didn't quite make out what Angel said over the ringing in her ears despite the earplugs.

That and the explosion had sent her blood boiling. The sheer volume of the noise, the reverberation through her body, the excitement of the shockwave travelling through the air. It was enough to make her mind go white for a few seconds, as the feeling coursed through her body like an electric bolt. Not even the presence of that thing shooting large laser beams or her collar could dampen the feeling; if anything, the sense of impending danger made it even more exciting.

Dogs ran after them, lured by the noise and threat made from their side, a good sign that their plan was working. But regardless of how fast they ran, it would not take more than a second for her to simply move to a nearby pile of rubble, and doing the same trick again.

She narrowed her eyes as once again came that raucous explosion, dust and smoke flying everywhere from the shockwave alone, though the approaching monsters would face debris far bigger and more threathening than simple dust. The smoke from the first explosion was starting to mingle with the smoke from the second arguably making it slightly harder to see.

Silently the antler logo on her collar started to glow red.
