Current Memes aside, pineapples on pizza is ok actually. Being shat on for liking things different from other people gets old after a while.

Hark, it seems I am in dire need of medical attention that is easily accessible by specialized containers we call medical bags.

Having come out of the door tensed and ready, the oncoming demon, sandstorm and group of angry trees wasn't really that hard to spot, even in the rain and wind. The massive wall sizzling with every rain drop falling upon it did surprise her however. It was blocking the way to the boat.

The wall, the group of demon and trees; both of them was blocking the way to the boat.

One she had orders to go to.

"Engaging enemy."

Her upper half shimmered to almost invisibility, as she projected a large armored simulacrum of her upper half in front of her. Feeling confident her projection will protect her from anything in front, the large projection shielded its face with the left hand, as the right swept a large mace towards the front, with enough range to catch the wall in its attack.
I dont know. Being able to bind demons and angels sounds perfectly fine already. imo at least ^^;
Gretchen Vradiskii Ufain
Back alley slums, Capitol City

A relatively nice day, even for a place like the slums.

Gretchen swept the paved stone path to the shrine, humming cheerfully. There wasn't much she could do to reduce the squalor of the backalleys, but at least her shrine and home looked presentable and clean. It still looked rundown however, and there was nothing she could do about that until she raised enough money to renovate the whole place.

She was vaguely aware of screamings in the distance, but being where she was, she paid it no mind β€” it was that sort of place after all β€” until a few people scrabbled frantically up the path to her, chased by what seemed to be a large four legged demon.

"A SHRINE? HERE?" A deep voice boomed from the demon as it moved forwards, liking its chops. "NO MATTER, I WI-"

"Tch.."

Almost immediately, the demon burst into flames, disintegrating into dust as it did so. Seemed like one of those unintelligent lower demons, to step into hallowed ground without expecting some sort of defenses. More dust for her to sweep away, on top of those people trailing blood all over her path and garden. Who did they think would have to clean up all of this? Certainly not that dumb pile of ash.

Sighing, she went inside to change into her ceremonial outfit, as well as to get everything she needed for a mass extermination. The shrine itself would be fine, as it was protected by layers upon layers of charms and spells, as well as the divine wrath of the god enshrined within, but these people might trample all over her garden if more came to seek shelter. Honestly, they could have flocked to her more often, and not just during times when they needed her.

Now in the traditional white and red ceremonial clothing, she prayed at the shrine once, before going out, assuring the people there that they would be protected as long as they were in shrine grounds, and not so subtly hinting that praying and donating at the shrine might help.

Her pristine white and red outfit standing in stark contrast to the filth and squalor around her, she made her way towards the downtown areas, following her instincts, and the howlings.
Character is done~

Will maybe post soon then.
Name: Gretchen Vradiskii Ufain
Age: 19
Class: In between
Race: Human

Appearance:

Personality: Easy going, lazy and spaced out most of the time, most would describe her as an airy girl, nice but a bit empty in the attic. Those are the people that have not seen her during the admittedly rare times she actually have to work as an exterminator/exorcist, where her ruthlessness can only be matched by the god her family enshrined and worshiped.

Biography: She lived, in an old seemingly destitute shrine, one that seemed to have stood there since time immemorial. It stood out against the drab cityscape, hemmed in by tall building. Oddly, it seemed to give out the air of standing defiantly against all change, instead of being dwarfed and overshadowed by the large buildings surrounding it.

Gretchen lived there for as long as she knew, where her mother worked odd jobs to keep them afloat, as the shrine's location sequestered in the backalleys of the city did not really attract much worshippers, or donations. Not to mention those who thought of them as hacks, liars, and swindlers.

Regardless, she learned of all her family's secrets, their legends and their techniques, of which she put to use in the very rare times someone needed a ghost exorcised, or a demon exterminated. Most of the time however, she was working part time jobs to make ends meet. Until all hell broke loose that was.

Notable Skills: Talisman making, consecrating items, constructions of barriers, Ie. basically everything a shrine maiden/ommyouji should know.

Equipment: Japanese sword, in lacquered wood mountings, that denies the unnatural and accepts the natural, a shitton of paper talismans, a shitton of paper to make paper talismans, consecrated extermination throwing needles, an old 9mm pistol for self defense against mundane things like thugs.
You thought I was gone, but I was actually just looking for a picture now. Been puzzling over my char concept.

The end of the tunnel, finally.

β€œSomeone’s out there. There’s one person ahead, too.”

With them taking such a brisk pace to reach here so fast, she felt a little winded, but far from being tired. There wasn't much in the lighthouse that interests her, thus she simply moved outside, pushing open the door to the sight of the seas roiling, her guards up and muscles tensed. Just for a moment, there was an unpleasant feeling that she was once again stepping into that angry black ocean reaching out to drown her.
Hmm, might put in some interest here.
Uh, youre questioning machinaries made in a world where magic and strange creatures exists. They also have enough shenanigans to completely close a hole in a wall in mere seconds as well as terraform that grassy plain quickly.
Arent they all networked together?
