Current Memes aside, pineapples on pizza is ok actually. Being shat on for liking things different from other people gets old after a while.

"Mgmgmgmg.."

Ah... to be rewarded with a vacation. It was a great idea. After all, good work should be rewarded, and one shouldn't look gift horses in the mouth. The ship ride didn't bother her one bit either, considering her natural affinity for water. Her luggage bag was secured and filled with her favourite things, as well as a few pieces of clothing. Both she and Sloane deserves the rest.

"Hmmmgmgmgmg..ngp. Mgmgmgmg..." Another fresh chocolate bar, fished out of her front pouch to replace what she had finished.

There was the book she was given to, seemingly written by their teacher with information about the island, but she read none of it. It tasted alright however.

But... Despite still munching on the inordinately large chocolate bar, she was slowly noticing the unease and anxiety in the group. It seems everything wasn't what it was. This wasn't the holiday island they were promised. Was it an uprising or a sudden event? There was nothing about any strange events in the ad. Considering how surprised their teacher was, she doubted their teacher could have orchestrated this event either. But... it was hard to tell if it was someone higher up orchestrated this event, or if they truly didn't know. There was also the chance that, she, Judea, was specifically...

Her train of thought derailed as she saw her teacher approach a strange drinking fountain. Judging from all the warnings scribbled around it, it was cursed or charmed, or otherwise trapped in some way. Judea would have warned the teacher, but she was too busy munching to even be able to vocalize anything before she drank of the well.

"Ah..." She approached the turned teacher, stopping by Sloane to place a reassuring arm on her shoulders. A good girl, but one that seemed to worry her head off at every little thing. Charming girl. "Too late, huh? I wanted to warn her but it'd be rude to speak with one's mouth full."

Rummaging in her front pouch, she continued. "Good thing I'm here. I made potions just for..." Pulling out a vial containing orange liquid, she stopped immediately upon reading the label. Watermelon? The red one was labeled oranges, and the blue was guava. Closing her eyes, Judea inhaled slowly.

She forgot. She forgot she brought nothing but snacks and drinks on this journey. Her front pouch, usually filled with useful items, was just full of her preferred concentrated juice and snacks. There was no expectations that she'd be needing any of those here after all. The students were already worked up, like that one she wasn't really at all familiar with beyond his name, and the rather shy person inching closer. Partners huh?

"Well, let us move, and find somewhere else to stay before we decide anything else. No sense getting worked up here at the moment." A calm statement to reassure the more timid of them, and to give the more stout of heard an objective to move towards. She grabbed the teacher sheep by the wool and started dragging it along disregarding any bleats of protest. Her eyes narrowed slightly, her usual gentle smile stretched a little too wide as she turned to regard the rest of those who came. "Unless any of you wants to find out how many of these odd citizens are actually enemies or spies?"

Judea wasn't moving in any particular direction, but she knew where she wanted to be, near a body of water with shelter, far away from these lifeless creatures masquerading as citizens.

Oh hey vance, long time no see lmao.
hello there
Eska

Without warning, a blade flashed towards her face, an assailant unperceived in her state. Surprised, she raised an arm, catching the sword on her wooden bracer, the blade leaving a thin scratch on the bark. Almost as quickly, the vine wrapped around her arm surged towards him, its iron grip leaving them unable to pull their arm back, immobilizing them completely as it wrapped around their entire body.

"Yo-"

"Shut up."

The vines pierced his flesh, sending tendrils boring into his skin, and through his bones, as it rooted into the ground, growing longer and larger, before she retracted a small part of the vines back onto her arm. Ignoring his screams piercing through the silence of the town, she raked an angry gash in his chest, before she finally spoke again, the dull anger rising up again.

"Where is she?"

Eska didn't let up, the vines already boring through his bones growing slowly, fracturing what they grew through bit by bit. It didn't take long before he was sputtering out everything he had, literally and figuratively. So... these people here thought Eska and her kind as nothing more than mere animals, mindless beasts to be conquered and sold like livestocks. As base creatures meant only for slavery and entertainment.

Perhaps... perhaps she should show them what it meant to war with an Emmerret. What it meant to slight a shaman of the land. To hell with the notion of killing only when needed. Sometimes, one has to burn the weeds, eradicate the pests, to make sure everyone prospered. And right now... these humans seemed like a pest she needed to eradicate.

Steeling her will again, she glared at the man, his body writhing unnaturally before the vines burst out his back, splaying open his ribs, stretching out his lungs like some sort of demented wings. Yet he was still alive, just barely. Leaving him behind to slowly bleed to death, if no carrion birds start eating him alive, she set upon the task of gathering what she could, and perhaps making it so no one of these people ever settle here again.

"A-are you sure?"

The sharp teeth on the small doll perched on her shoulder made her flinch for a moment, as it grinned widely.

"Cmon, little girl. You want to improve yourself, don't you? Be braver?" A small hand reached out to her cheeks squeezing hard enough to sting a little, her eyes following those small razor sharp teeth as the doll inched its face closer to hers. "Do it. Do it or I will devour you myself."

Fran gulped, and started walking out of her home, wearing a much less conservative outfit than her usual. It was just a simple dress under a short long sleeved jacket, but it was not the usual baggy stuffy clothing she wore. It was very much a much less restrained look, but it was setting off all sorts of alarms in Fran's head. What if she wasn't cute enough to pull this off? Won't she just look ridiculous? Would people just stare at her rather unglamorous hair? The class president had a much glossier hair which-

A sharp pain in her cheeks as the doll pulled harder.

"Oi... Let's go already. Or I'll tear you off piece by piece until you move."

Her breath caught in her throat, as she moved jerkily, finally getting out of her home's boundaries. Trying to be less shy wasn't an easy journey, but at least she had taken her first steps.

"Welcome back to the world of the living." She greeted the ranger. "Got a bit hairy at the end there."

She didn't need to say anything else; obviously the ranger can figure out the rest. It... was a bit odd. She had conflicting feelings on her curse making her constitution durable enough to weather that rough bit of storm. If she had not been what she was, this would have turned out significantly different. Perhaps even disastrously so. Even then, it was a bit of a close shave.

This was it. There was barely any resistance, and what few that could still raise their swords or trying to work their magic was too weakened by the poisonous pollen to pose much threat. Regardless, she gave them a quick warrior's death. There was a certain kind of honor and integrity she could respect to continue fighting for their tribe, to feel the need to defend them even at the cost of their own lives. Considering it was nighttime, Eska doubted most of them would even know they were either dying or dead.

The place was eerily silent now, only her footsteps echoed throughout the streets as she made her way slowly to their chief's house. Reaching the main square, she turned her gaze upwards, the tree still slightly growing, the roots pushing the cobblestones apart as they worked their way deeper and wider to sustain it. The tree would serve as a monument to what happened here, with a record of what caused this to transpire to be inscribed on it later.

Reaching the chief collapsed in front of his fancy abode, she propped him up against his door, and decapitated him unceremoniously with the axe stuck in the door.

There was... nothing.

After all that, her rage had fizzled out, and replaced by nothing. Just nothing. Not even the feeling of strength thrumming throughout her body could alleviate that feeling. Her vision grew blurry, as she realized her knees had gone weak, her view being of the night sky as she collapsed. The mask had fallen, and warm tears streaked down her cheeks as she tried to choke back the unseemly noises she was making.

Jiko was gone.

Her only companion, her only friend, the one who had been by her side for so long. Gone because she wanted to gather a few more herbs before dark. Such foolishness, a idiotic move on her part. And now she had waged war on another tribe because of her own anger, killed more than she should. How was she to face her now, even if she did find her? How would she explain this to Jiko? She did not deserve all this power. For a moment, her mind went towards her knife, and how much it might solve if she just killed herself. Jiko will be strengthened, and she would regain her honor. Just for a moment however; she had not even the strength to even try.

"Jiko..." Eska sobbed. "What... what do I even do now..."
