Current Memes aside, pineapples on pizza is ok actually. Being shat on for liking things different from other people gets old after a while.

Ari Reina Caladis(Theresa)
Beneath The Bridge, near a Gambling Den, Sewer System.

It seemed the only real way of getting in was a sewer grate almost as tall as she was. Was it the best way in? Were there any other more desirable entrance? Ari didn't even think about it, already feeling that rush of accomplishment at finding something like this by herself. Almost enough to make her churling stomach worth the segue here.

The grate was in the way however, and she wasn't exactly the incarnation of Ares or even just a super buff Batman to just pull it off like that. But perhaps if she focused her efforts...

Using her dexterity and agility, she grabbed the top bar of the grate, near one of the fastenings, jumped and spun around, kicking off the wall. Using her legs, weight and gravity, hopefully she can pop the thing open.

Beneath The Bridge, near a Gambling Den.

Her tail withered a bit at the revelation that the front entrance leads directly towards a rather populated room, instead of whatever she had imagined a hidden area would be. Gambling was it? She had played with cards before and understood how dies worked, but she wasn't any hardened gambler used to putting their life on the line. The option of bluffing her way inside wasn't the best option, but perhaps one she could try if other options failed her.

And the other options were... sneaking around for another entrance. The strange buzzing feeling from the base of her tail to the tips of her ears was intensifying, and with it the fur on her tail growing fuzzier and fuzzier. As long as she didn't have to enter the river itself...

Padding around and away from the front entrance, she started looking around for any where for an alternate entrance, paying special attention to the smaller animals and insects. Who knows, a rat might lead to a hidden entrance she overlooked.

She licked her lips as she recalled the qi using classes. Of all the classes she'd seen, shinobi called out to her the most. Ari didn't want to pick a class so hastily after all; who knows when or if they were even allowed to change classes? Until then, she'd have to get by with only her own wits.

Wrapping the monkey's fist around her right arm, she took off her sandals, padding silently around the boxes, trying not to step in any weird puddle of filth. The smell alone was making her tail twitchy and fuzzy. The sight... well she was trying not to examine any of the filth too closely, lest her stomach overturn itself. Going slowly along the walls, she observed the area first, trying to see what lies ahead for her next course of action. Surely a deed wouldn't be too hard to find?

"Eeeeehhhh...." Ari was dragged back to the town, without even having the time to look for things to make things out of. Perhaps that was for the better, since there was another thing she needed to do. Her hands still worked on the grass rope, snatching what she could from what passed her by, turning it into a good few foot of rope.

By the time they arrive back at the stone, she had fashioned the end into a ball knot, with the rounded stone ensconced within. A passing fad in her school years, called a monkey's knot or the like, usually then made out of several brightly colored string to use as a keychain or small decorations on phones and bags. What she had made however, was a weighted ball on the end of a rope. Had she a bit more time, she'd have made it longer, and made another monkey's fist at the end.

Seeing as she was already at the stone however, she sighed and entered a query about qi using classes, looking at the results before glancing back at Lew.

"Hey, I'm going to go do something before I decide on a class. Be back in a moment ok?"

It took only a moment for her to flash the peace sign and disappear into the crowd almost immediately. Now that she was here, she might as well try her hand at that request. She has seen mangas about ninjas before, most of the protags, admittedly, has had more training than her. But if she learned anything from those, its that you either do, or do not. There was no try.

A high pitched scream reverberated across the area, coming from no more than the overexcited catgirl as she just about did a little victory jig.

"EEEE! We did it! That was so cool I'm about to explode!" Her face scrunched up immediately upon seeing their loot however. She... didn't want to touch even the coins. "I.. suppose someone should hold on to those?"

Shoving the piece of fabric back into her pockets quickly before anyone takes a longer look at it, she started on her grass rope again, while looking for a nice round hefty stone. "Ah, Lew, can you lend me one of your weapons for a moment? I'm going to try something, see if it works."
Ari Reina Caladis(Theresa)

Seeing as there was no more weapons being thrown at her, Ari bounded over to the fallen spear on the ground. At least, this way she had something to actually stick into the enemy with. Tumbling over the spear, she rolled onto a starting sprinting position before running full speed at the kappa near Ames, trying to impale it on the spear point.

"Oogh!" Perhaps that was a bad idea. Perhaps a better close ranged weapon would...

It clicked in her head almost immediately, as she was still flying away from the force of the body check. Hands extended, acting like a spring, her body flipping from the momentum onto her feet, conserving energy as she followed through with the force, bending her knees like a coiled spring as she fished out another rock from her pocket. With the final rebound into a side spin, she flung the rock not at where the kappa was, but where it will be, remembering a certain manga protagonist's lessons with the fish.

"Hey, Lew lend me y-" A crossbow bolt came flying into her waving hands. She looked incredulously at it for a moment. "No not this, lend me your short sword!"

Ari licked her lips, already getting very into the fight, her heartbeat like a wardrum beating in her ears, a strange warm hot feeling filling her body as adrenaline started to kick in. Theresa was definitely not any sort of gymnast, but having already tested and gained confidence in her body and having lost the fear of being actually hurt or killed, she was less hesitant on doing high flying moves. Moving quickly with all the stones she gathered, she moved low to the ground, planting a feet straight onto Ames' back as she used her like a spring board, spinning in the air to further increase the energy into a stone flung at the kappa eyeing Amulak.

"MYAHAHAHA~ Nya heck nya'll doing~"

Landing on her feet, she quickly set up in a stance in front of Amulak with the piece of fabric in her hand already loaded with another stone, as if daring it to come closer to attack.

It was a very nice area to be in. Just strolling about made her happy, like going for a walk in the park after a crisp rain. She would have asked to borrow Lew's blade, had there been any woody long straight plants, but it seemed shrubbery and bushes were the largest woody sort of plant here. Thus, she went to plucking the long flexible grassy plants as they walked. That's right, like a panda man's school of fighting, she was going to take the 'Everything goes' part and see how far she could go with it.

Ari was fumbling a bit with the weaving of a string from the grass however, and a singular thought came into the back of her mind. First she thought it to herself jokingly, but it slowly started to niggle at her. As her fumbling and frustration at her progress with making the grass string grew, so too did that thought's viability grew. She was very sure that with a bit more time, and with her sitting down properly, she can make a grass sling in a jiffy.

However, she did not have that time, considering they were nearing their destination. Thus lagging slightly behind, and when she thought no one was looking at her, she ducked into some tall bushes. Not too soon after, she ducked out of it, with a determined, slightly blushed face and an awkward walk.

When the kappas came out, she did not call them out, or move to the front of the party, but slinked to the back and to the side, gathering several stones from the edge of the river. Producing an oddly... recognizable, piece of fabric from her pocket, she placed it into the middle, the sturdy and elastic fabric holding up well as she swung the makeshift sling around, before finally shooting off a stone with surprising speeds at the two kappas. Whether she missed or hit didn't matter, for she was already readying another stone, her face slightly red.

A location, an objective and a reason to do it. This was how adventures started wasn't it? By small errands and tests, then onto larger endevours like dragon slaying and fighting a deranged evil old man on top of an apocalyptic machine fortress.

"I understand. I'll help, and these gu- eh?" She faltered noticing the lack of other people. Did most of them already leave? "Ah, maybe just me then huh? I'll try to help old man. If I don't get back here at all, then I'd have failed."

Well, from the instructions they were given, Ari surmised that the rest of the group must be at the frogmen's location already. Having cooled off a little from the shock of noticing they had been left behind by the rest of the team, she naturally wanted to get a bit more stuff before going on that heist.

"Pardon my language, but where the fuck did Mags go?"

"I don't know. Maybe they went ahead towards the frogs?" Jumping up and down experimentally a few times, Ari stretched, her tail stretching at the same time. "Lets go there too. They might already be getting a whole pile of stuff."

Like a bow stave losing its string, she sprang towards the direction of the frogs. "Cmon! I'll race you both!"
