I'm open for collabs if anyone's interested :3
26th Rain's Hand, 4E208, early afternoon-

It was with a sense of both relief and regret with which Meg had woken up. It would indeed be nice to be paid, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to part ways with her companions just yet. Had bonds been made? She wasn't sure yet, but she did feel a sense of sisterhood with Brynja, even if she had duped her out of quite a bit of drink the first night, along with the help of Latro. Speaking of the latter, she found him quite pleasant to talk to and even just be around, much like with Judena. She had to admit she owed Judena big time; the map as well as notes she'd hurriedly given her and Latro before heading her own way had proven very useful to Meg at least.

Whilst the Nord had spend quite a bit of time indoors, sleeping away the tiredness of the journey that brought them all the way to the Imperial City, she hadn't wasted all of her time in the inn. With septims she still on her, she'd decided it was high time to buy a couple of extra pairs of clothing. She also spent quite a while by various weapon shops, wondering whether she should spend her remaining money on new equipment or not. It was with a not so heavy heart that she left the shops behind. Meg was both sentimental and a little bit of a stingy person when it came down to it; she doubted selling her current gear would give her enough septims to buy something better than what she had. Besides, it was probably best to wait until Rhea paid them.

Returning to the inn for what she supposed may be the penultimate time, Meg headed to her room, deciding to set her things aright, packing her clothes away and tidying her bags, emptying them of any remain crumbs from long forgotten dried food. She made a face as a couple of dried and desiccated beetles fell out as well. She doubted even a potion brewer would have much use for them in this shoddy state.

"Hm..." She looked down at herself. Her clothes had not fared well this expedition, no matter how many times she washed them. She had half a mind to toss them but decided to simply change them with her newly bought clothes instead, stuffing the old worn blouse and trousers in her pack once she was finished changing. Smiling, she patted at her new clothes, a grin teasing her lips. It had been a long time since she had allowed herself a little luxury; she forgot how uncomfortable stiff and unsure clothes felt at first. A chuckle escaped her and she shook her head.

"Don' get used to it, Meg," she told herself as she checked up on her bow.

She was all but finished and just about to leave the inn when she heard commotion outside. Imperial City was a bustle and a half compared to the cities of Skyrim, but even Meg knew this was something more than just the ordinary. Frowning, she took hold of her sword on instinct, holding it before herself as she opened the door and stepped outside.

At first it was hard to tell what exactly was going on. However it wasn't long before Meg followed the line of sight of everyone else, looking up to the sky. "What in-" Nothing else came out as she simply watched, unable to believe her eyes. Ships in the sky?

It wasn't long before panic set in on the people, and Meg wasn't spared from that onslaught. What was even happening? For a while she was frozen in place, not even minding the people rushing past her, simply aghast with what she saw. It was only when the huge armoured figures landed and stood upright she realized that this was actually happening.

A man fell before her, body littered with holes. A yell of fright could be heard- it felt like forever but was only a moment when she realized it had come from her. I can't- I can't die here! The very real realization that her life was in immediate danger struck Meg like a slap to the face, and she waited not a second longer, running in the opposite direction as fast as she could.

Dwemer, her mind yelled at her, it has to be dwemer! What else could it be? She didn't expect or want any answers to the fleeting questions that crossed her mind.

Ysmir, grant me strength!
I hope ya'll like your medics with a Machiavellian twist.

It'll be nice getting to RP with you at last! ^_^
Meg's Rumours!

1. Before she got into the business of tomb raiding and treasure hunting, Meg had briefly joined a group of bandits. However, when she realized she would make more septims by taking them out, she easily killed them and claimed the reward.

2. One night Meg had gotten so drunk that she ended up canoodling with both the innkeeper and his wife.

3. For a while before her chance encounter with J'raij, Meg had adopted a young child from Riften. Unfortunately, said child was injured during a wolf attack. Not wanting to take any chances with their life, left the child to be taken care of in Riften orphanage instead.

4. When she was ten year old in Riften, Meg had picked her way into a shop and stolen a box of soul gems for a member of the Thieves Guild.

5. Meg experimented more than a few times with moon sugar.
I will post something before we move along on Friday, I swear

After I got a couple of rumors it became pretty hard to think of some considering her limited experiences, but I really really like a couple of these.

Anifaire's rumors-
1. She advanced so quickly when studying magic that she was placed in lessons with children a few years ahead of her.
2. Ever since she came of age, courtship offers have been coming in from other noble families’ sons, even after she moved to Cyrodiil, though her parents have never accepted one.
3. At the University, other students would notice her because she showed up to classes she wasn’t even signed up for, sometimes for days in a row before losing interest and finding another class.
4. She had an affair with one of her teachers at the University.
5. She once had a magical experiment go so wrong that she killed two colleagues – they disintegrated.

4. He had no qualms torturing women and children as necessary.
5. Dark Brotherhood assassins pursued him for decades until the organization finally collapsed.

Everyone likes sweet roles, amirite?

Finally done Sol's rumours! They were hard to come up with, haha. XD

1. Masqueraded as a Vampire in order to infiltrate and wipe out a coven. He succeeded, but was also forced to put down several villagers who mistook him for one of the monsters and attacked him.

2. While guarding a Khajiit caravan in Skyrim, was paid a decent amount of money by some Nords to chase them out of the hold. He did so, and when returning to the Nords, killed them when they refused to pay up.

3. Aided a group of refugees consisting mainly of the elderly and children cross a river when the bridge had broken, and the detour crossed dangerous lands; he was strong and tall enough to withstand the height and power of the water, so carried each one across for free.

4. Has never had sex, or even kissed another before.

5. After discovering a number of attackers over the years had been assassins sent by his sister, Sol now has a routine when another one appears. After killing them, he removes a part of their body, places it in a rather nice looking box, and has it shipped back to his childhood home in Alinor where his sister still dwells; a note is always attached to the body part, requesting that "she ceases in sending him any more toy soldiers, as they keep breaking."

Roze and I have a collab on the go, but I'll get you the link after work!

Sounds good!
Finally posted! Much apologies for delays.

Also Meg volunteered as tribute.

Er. I mean to help Daro'Vasora and Sol.
Her wound really wasn't such a big deal, but Meg had appreciated the scolding Brynja had given with good humour, finding both amusement and an odd sense of comfort in the somewhat mothering position the Nord warrior seemed to have taken. She had to admit there was truth to the woman's words as well; a mere scratch could easily fester and cause a much bigger and many times deadlier problem later. Her amusement turned to worry in an instance when Brynja pulled out her sword; what had she seen?

Relief was of two kinds when what Brynja had spotted turned out to be none other than Daro'Vasora and Latro. Meg let out held breath slowly before allowing herself to settle down on the ground. It was lovely to know it wasn't any more rotten falmer, but even better was to see that the two were alive and well... relatively. Her sharp eyes could see that Latro was not faring well at all. Everything told her to run ahead and try to do something, but the younger Nord stayed where she was. Brynja was there and there was no need for somebody who would be more trouble than not.

It was worrisome to be sure, but when it was clear the Breton bard was no longer lingering at death's door, Meg finally allowed herself to relax completely. She pulled a canteen from her satchel and took a gulp of water before corking it, though she didn't put it away, suspecting she'll want some more before long. Her eyes returned to the Khajiit and the bard; this time she saw Rhea with them. Vaguely wondering what they were talking about, she decided she may as well have some shut-eye whilst the others were getting themselves together.

By the time they were ready to start once more, Meg was eager and ready to get going. Her nap hadn't been quite as restful as she may have hoped; it was a little amazing and daunting how five minutes was enough time to relive everything you just went through in a dream. She was sure she wasn't the only one who would be seeing falmer in their dreams. Still, at least her body had rested, if not her mind. Bow gripped loosely in her hand, she followed along with the others. Apparently the two latecomers had discovered some sort of paintings and carvings which Rhea and some others seemed to find interesting.

Meg wasn't really that sort of person though. She liked things she could pick up, things that were tangible and obtainable, things she could sell. Paintings and scratches on the wall weren't really what she had in mind when she thought of 'treasure hunting'. As for history, while it had its uses in lessons and stories and what not, was never one of her main interests.

Before she could think any more on the subject, her half-thoughts were broken by Daro'Vasora. She had already been silent, but now Meg was extra vigilant as well, eyes narrowed as she wondered what the matter was. The thumping sounds and the subsequent groan told her what, but it was the falmer cries that caused a sinking feeling in her, and the flash of light that caused her to ever so slightly cringe.

What in Ysmir's name?!

She turned her attention back to Daro'Vasora, noting the look of concern on the feline's face. Her mouth seemed to dry up and she visibly swallowed as she listened to the Khajiit's cautioning words. Whatever that light was, it made falmer sound like child's play in comparison. The thought of shelter from impending death sounded more than reasonable to Meg, and so she hastily followed, her grip on her bow now much more earnest than before. She very much doubted arrows would do anything to light or whatever was emitting it, but there was some comfort in holding on to a weapon. She did wish she had picked up more loose arrows before they left their resting spot; her quiver, whilst not empty, could certainly use some more.

Barely having time to register Latro killing the falmer with his bare fists, a rather impressive feat, Meg grabbed the hilt of her sword, eyes flitting about to see if there were more, which apparently there were. Cussing under her breath, she let go of her sword and instead took hold of an arrow. She glanced at Sol volunteering to head out with Daro'Vasora before nodding and raising her bow.

"I'll come along as well."
