Synopsis of Role: The Noble house of Wulfhart is among the Lyran commonwealths oldest dynasties- though not it's most prestigious. Lyris's forebearer was, in fact, a former member of Star League Defense Force who remained behind after operation Exodus. Enticed by promises of wealth and a title of his own; Seigfred Wulfhart was given a sizable portion of land on Asaheim in return for their loyalty. The Wulfharts and their ancestral battlemech have since served the commonwealth for centuries.
However, they remain among the poorer noble houses, with fate having rarely smiled upon them. Lyris Wulfhart is the families last chance to change their fortunes. Since joining the academy, Lyris Von Wulfhart has proven a skilled Mechwarrior if a somewhat reckless pilot. Athletically fit, Lyris stands a head taller than most cadets. Considered brash and hotheaded, many instructors have noted Lyris could well be a gem in the rough if she can master her apparent battle-lust. Interestingly Lyris outside of a mech is a positively cheery individual and joy to be around. This attitude has allowed her to make friends quickly and she possess a fiercely loyal spirit. Her natural charisma could make for a good foundation in a leader if she had a more relaxed disposition on the field.
Battlemech: A custom Griffin GRF-1S Variant, also boosts Prototype Jump Jets and an upgraded Hermes 275 extralight engine, though only has two double heat sinks sacrificing some improved cooling to free up weight. The 'Mech now carries a Doombud LRM-20 launcher over the right shoulder, and, due to Lyris's preferences for close quarters combat, has removed the PPC and in its place mounted a Large Laser and two Medium Lasers. The left arm is empty save a hatcet held in its grip. It also employs a CASE to protect the two tons of missile reloads stored in the left torso. Weight is further improved by using Endo Steel skeleton. GRF-1S Wolf Brawler
Height: 6'2 Weight: 183 lbs Appearance: Possessing a mesomorph body type, Lyris is well muscled with a strong athletic muscular build, well-developed shoulders and slim hips. She also sports dark blue eyes and ashen snow white hair with nordic war paint tattoos that run down the left side of her face. An old family tradition that no one quite remembers how or when it was started. Callsign:"She Wolf" Father: Graf Reinhold Von Wulfhart
Mech notes: While not her Houses ancestral battlemech, Lyris has managed to paint her families heraldric colors; black strips running down each arm and leg over a white backdrop. The snarling wolf of her house is located on the mech's right shoulder.
@Sigma Yes exactly like battlemech. Well done have a cookie. ^^ -----> .O.
Edit @Legion02 the way I envisioned it and was going to use them was that each ruling high house had a number of vessels who possessed suits of their own for their own dynasty.
Keep in mind it was optional for the feudal factions. I was just curious if anyone was going to bring their own suits for the prince side plot.
Edit 2 completely forgot I was going to call them Cataphracts even. Maybe I'll write a blurb on them in the info doc. Or just introduce them via IC.
@Ozerath@Legion02@Isotope of course, the more the merrier. The way I have it set up is that the IB (or at least loyalist of a faction within it) will arrive on the scene first to apprehend the prince. However, they'll be intercepted by Order agents. Now here's the interesting part, the IB will have forces on standby for/if things go awry and will have a fleet in orbit which will be in a deadlock in space with others forces. (no one wants to start something that could escalate out of control. At least at the outset.)
Now my idea is other players can have agents on planet sent ahead of time to confirm the prince's location or what have you. Every one there though will be outmatched by the IB however, forcing deferring agents from each player faction to work together despite having their own factions agendas on top of that. No one want's the IB to have the prince, but no single one can handle the situation on their own. Will make for a very interesting scenario I think, or we can see how things pan out. This also means it will be more a focus on individual characters in this side-plot. The unlikely allies trope.
Interesting that Kesselbroods would want to marry into a none noble house. At least them being non-aristocrats seemed to be the main focus Isotope wanted to get across.
Btw @Flagg I have another plot point that will focus in on Petrichor, specifically a transport of it. I'll send a PM later with more details to see what you think of it.
@Ozerath I'm used to the idea of using dice since tabletop gaming. It's an interesting idea, depending on how it's handled it should be fine I think. The only worry I'd have is how this ship appears since it could easily throw a wrench into someone's plans.
