Let's get this show on the road!

Bio

Well, the name is Grifter. I suck at these whole "about me" things.

- Role player

- Writer

- Binger of TV shows. ( xD )

- Gamer PC and Console

I love fall and winter even though Texas only seems to have two seaons, summer and super short winter. I'm not much of a talker, I find myself to be a horrible conversationalist but once on a topic I like, I can probably babble on for ages.

I have social anxiety which blows because it makes day to day life extremely difficult.

I use writing and role playing as a distraction from life when it becomes too unbearable so I'm constantly scribbling down ideas for stories or role play ideas. Though not many of them see the light of day, that's okay.

Well, if you want to know more in depth about me, don't hesitate to ask.

@Shade that is a very good question. :I I have no idea. No one seems to be interested in it. :[
@coolbro As soon as we have a good amount of people to start role playing with. :3
@coolbro I like the character. Can't wait to RP with you. :D
@Shade Since the Vikings are human, let's keep it to the realm of reality on their end. So, having a wolf/war dog or hawk is fine.
@Shade Yes. Animal companions are allowed.
@ClocktowerEchos Alright. Sounds good to me. :3
@ClocktowerEchos Well, that is just the average so if a ship can be built bigger it can hold more crew members that way the ones who passed can be NPC's and the rest who lived can well alive after the shit storm if you know what I mean
@ClocktowerEchos That looks awesome. It was actually how I pictured the ship looking like. Lol.

Nope, it all sounds good to me. It should be big enough to hold a good amount of people, because as stated in the storyline, we do lose quite a bit of people. So, the average ship would hold about an average or 20 - 30 crew members.
@Shade Sounds good to me, good Sir. :D
Full Name: Vigdis “War Goddess“ Lothbrok

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Rank: Warrior, Tracker

Personality: [coming soon…]

Picture:

Weapon(s): Skilled in the art of weaponry she is able to switch between the sword, axe and bow. Though her prefered choice of weapon is the axe and sword.

Along her leather belt she has a set of 3 axes that hang by her side at all times, while a large and heavy sword adorns her back in a tight strap to keep it nearby.

The sword she wields was given to her by her father just before he succumbed to his battle wounds from their last raid. The battle had been long and bloody, in the end her clan won and were rewarded with treasures beyond their imaginations.

The sword’s crossguard and blade have runic writing, while the tang has special intricate celtic designs.

The set of axes she carries also are decorated at the blade with intricate celtic designs. While the body of the axe is made of sturdy oak and bound with leather in cris-cross lining knots.

The bow is made from the wood of an ash tree. Intricate designs were also carved into the bow’s upper and lower limb, along with its back and belly. The grip of the bow was bound with tight leather made from the fur of her first kill as a young girl.

Her shield is circular made of hard and sturdy oak. It is painted in black with a gold dragon, along the dragon’s body is runic writing. It is the prayer to the Gods.

History:
Born to two farmers, Vigdis was raised as the way a girl should be but she craved something more, a life more exciting than just farm work. She despised staying home to do the chores while her father got to leave for long periods of time to go raiding with the other men across the great sea.

She was always told she was too young to take part in these sorts of trips, that she was far too sickly to do any sort of thing. Growing tired of her mother’s taunts and her father’s words she pushed herself to train, forcing the other boys who lived near her to help her train. They laughed at her and refused to allow her to join until one day she decided to take matters into her own hands and began training herself by watching the other men train amongst themselves.

As time passed, she grew stronger, when she finally got the courage to stand up to her father she asked him to train her, he reluctantly agreed to do so. They spent so much time training that by the time she was seventeen she was able to go on her first raid with her father along her side. The raid went as smoothly as one could ever go, she had no scratch on her only the blood of her fallen victims. Once the war was over she was then dubbed as War Goddess for she was said to have fought like she was the Goddess Freya herself.

Years came and went, raid after raid was won and treasures were taken. Scars and stories were shared over a good drink and dinner. It was that time of year again where they would sail out and raid, but as all raids go, the people who lived there were ready for them. A lot of brothers and sisters had fallen, her father had been badly injured in the battle. Eventually, after a tiresome battle, they had won but not without losing many. Vigdis’ father was taken back to their came where he later died after succumbing to his wounds but not before giving Vigdis his most trusted sword that had won him many battles and took countless victims. Her father was given the proper burial and they set sail to head back home.

The frost had finally passed and it was time for another raid, as they set sail to head East, they were taken by surprise when a large and monstrous storm hit. Thinking they had angered Thor they tried to hold on to their ship and belongings for dear life as the storm roared and pushed the ships in opposite directions of their intended destination. What happened later when the storm finally cleared was something they had not seen coming, it was a scene that they would never have believed to be possible. It was a whole other world to them.
