I interpreted it as the metal the container is made of is what's blocking the powers.

Either way, your character will use common sense to deduce that for some reason they cannot use their power whilst in the container.

Yeah sorry, to avoid confusion: The containers we are in are lined with a power numbing metal that makes you unable to use your power. We do escape, but it's not due to any of our characters.

I am on the fence on whether I want to join this or not, if I would join I would lean towards one of these powers: Animal shape-shifting, Plant Manipulation, or having the ability to enhance other people's powers. I am not sure what is putting me off of this roleplay, it might just be that I haven't joined a new RP in a long while.
