Normally wearing traveler's boots, blue jean pants, and a short sleeve plain red shirt with a torso-long tan dust cover to protect from blowing sand and shit, along with a tan-brimmed hat and goggles for the same purpose.

Bio: Axel was born and raised in The Hub, and like most everyone child living in the post-war world, growing up was difficult. Especially in the slums. He was raised by his father, for his mother sadly passed away during child birth. What made life even more difficult was the fact his father made little-to-no bottle caps working for the Tenpenny family. His father had no where to go. He believed caravan travel was too dangerous for children, and he would hardly be with his son working for the NCR. There were plenty of nights when his father went hungry while Axel ate scraps. Around the age of twelve, Axel began learning his life's skills. It was around that time, he believed he needed to do something to help out, and a little kid wasn't going to make many bottle caps. So instead, he picked up lock picking and thievery. Being smaller than the adults, he learned to slip into doors unnoticed or even small crevices. Axel began swiping food from venders here and there but nothing too major. When the vendors saw him in the act, Axel would burst into the crowd, losing his pursuer. As he grew older, Axel learned to grab cloth on the run, or use what was on him, to mask his appearance and blend back into the crowd to get away from his pursuers.
It was when he turned sixteen that Axel began looking up to bigger things. He would wait for nightfall to come and sneak out of the house and go to vendor's stores and pickpocket the registers and jars for caps while everyone else was asleep. All the while, his father knew something was going on, but how could he argue? They needed the food and money, or a slow and painful death was sure to come for both of them. His father soon grew ill, however, and was fired after missing a couple of days of work. He tried explaining, even begging the manager himself, but to no avail. Jobless and sick, Axel's father resigned himself to his demise. On Axel's twentieth birthday, his father passed away, leaving only a broken 10mm pistol with no ammo behind.
Nothing was left in The Hub for Axel, so using the caps he accumulated over the years, he fixed his pistol, bought a varmint rifle, some ammo, a utility knife, and enough supplies to last, and set out on the open road. He lived off the land and rented a room every now then when possible. When he killed animals, he ate the meat and traded the skin, and also any scrap metal he stumbled across. He would revert back to his old ways every now-and-then, keeping his skills sharp, but he always tried to turn a new leaf. Axel survived this way for a couple of years, but that was it. He survived. Axel wanted to do more than that; he wanted to make his mark on the world somehow.
Now twenty-two, Axel found some honest work guarding a caravan. It's not permanent, but it will at least give him more security and an actual destination besides "anywhere." It's not the world-changing adventure he's wanting, but it'll at least get him by another day, and maybe when the band of traders reach New Reno, their destination, Axel can find some more permanent work and keep himself grounded in reality. However, here's to hoping fate will smile down upon him in the future.
