Name: Drake Reese
Age: 24
Sex: Male
Appearance:
Drake
Armor
Personality: Drake is an overall decent kinda guy. He prefers to keep to himself but isn't afraid to open up in smaller groups. When you first meet him, he'll be more serious, bust as you get to know him, he'll lighten up and even become humorous. If Drake is asked to do a favor, he's reluctant to do so, only because he can be rather lazy at times, however, if he's the only one around or the only one capable, he will perform the action without question. Drake is rather awkward with intimate relationships only because he doesn't have much experience with them. He's always hoping to change that though. Drake is also an optimist, always wanting to see the good in any situation and anyone. It's rather hard to get him down or made for that fact. Overall Drake is a decent guy, if slightly standoff-ish to strangers, but one you warm up to him, you'll find a guy that willing to help his friends.
Bio: Drake was born to a middle-class family and lived a rather normal life. He had good grades in school, and was pretty athletic. Yes, life was going well for Drake, however with living in a small town, came with the fact that only dead-end jobs were available. Drake could only think of one way to get out of that situation; join the Army!
At the ripe young age of eighteen, Drake left his home for a new life. He performed exceptionally well through all phases of training and was promoted ahead of his peers. After only a few years of service, Drake was selected to help demonstrate a new armor prototype. After rigorous tests and background checks, Drake was finally told what exactly was going to happen: he would be injected with nanobots, and a microchip would be implanted into his brain. On thought, the bots would protrude from his skin and create near-impenetrable armor that granted him heightened senses, and greater strength. The nanobots could filter air through the suit, as well as allow for transparency for eyelets with added night vision and zoom feature up to 5x magnification. A crimson hue to the lenses were an added aesthetic by the scientists. However, the suit was not without its setbacks. Being metal added density, thus when placed in water, the armor will drown. Also, while the nanobots have some protection against electricity, a large enough EMP will short circuit the bots and microchip. The bots and chip will come back online, but it will still take a minute for Drake to get back into combat. While these problems, they were manageable, however, there was one major detriment that no one could foresee; Drake was the only person that could fully meld with the nanobots. Other testers were brought in with Drake, but none of them could get a complete symbiosis with the system. As a result, the idea was put back to the drawing board before eventually getting scrapped due to budget cuts. And so, Drake was the only soldier to be given the new armor. He saw limited use as special forces, seeing as how he was still human and not the ultimate super soldier.
After a couple of more years of service, Drake decided to leave the Army on the basis that he wasn't doing enough good. He then decided that the best place for him to start the new chapter of his life was to live in the city that was a few hours away from his birthplace, Millenia City. While looking for work, Drake stopped at a small shop for a snack. While he was at the register, a lone gunman decided to hold the place up. Out of instincts from him Service days, Drake activated his armor and quickly subdued the criminal. After giving the report to the police, Drake thought about what had happened and believed he found his calling. Being a hero. The story made the local news and Drake read the interview with the cashier. He saw where the cashier compared him to looking like a medieval knight and figured that would be a suitable alias.
Alias: The Knight.
Skills: Knowledgeable with computers/electronics, as well as a decent cook thanks to his mother.
Weaknesses: Drake still keeps in contact with his family, so anyone against him could easily use Drake's family against him.
Relationship: Single (always looking)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Origin of Powers: Military Experiment (nanobots)
Description of Powers: Through the use of an implanted microchop and nanobots, Drake can create a near-impregnable layer of armor. Both his strength and speed are increased, though he strains when lifting heavier items such as vehicles, and his fastest speed is around 40mph. Both his sense of sight and sound are also heightened with the added bonus of both zoom and night vision. Drake is also immune to toxins thanks to air filters within the suit.
Weaknesses of Powers: Drake is still human, so while out of the suit, and can easily be killed like anyone else. Also, the suit is not completely shielded from EMP, and will become offline for a minute of struck by one. Drake also still needs air to breathe. The suit may have filters, but without oxygen to filter, Drake could suffocate. Extreme variations between hot and cold can also slow the suit down and even rust it up. It will recover from this but it will still take time. And finally, the armor can take rockets and tank shells, but if hit by, say, a ship-borne missile, then chances are he will get hurt.
Role in the Media and Public Eye: Still fairly unknown, though rumors are spreading of his existence.
Other: I Will Rise!
