The Webcomic Homestuck is a hit, a phenomenon like no other that had impacted the world like no other. It's otherworldly and abstract concepts could only be replicated by few, and those who did truly get the hang of it were considered gods.
It is nearing the end of the year 2014, and the ending of Homestuck is upon us. A few little less than a year ago, a fanmade game by the name of SBURB was announced, and got hundreds of backers on campaigning sites. It was only about a month ago that the creators announced that the beta would be released to a few selected few, and since then all of the Homestuck fans have been going crazy, hoping to replicate their favorite moments in the game. The people in who developed the game all went by names of characters from the comic, with the head of them obviously taking the name of Andrew Hussie. It appeared that the real Hussie approved of the developed using his name as an alternate name for himself, but no true proof could be spoken of since the developers never took pictures of each other, and only posted drawn pictures of them messing around, taking the form of the character whose name they shared.
Today is the big day. The day where it all ends.
You have recently acquired your copy of the fan-made SBURB beta, whether it be from just this morning or from a week ago. Not to mention that today is the day of the final update for Homestuck. You can hardly wait, and jump from wherever you may be at the moment in a mixture of joy, and fear.
You read the update. The last you read, Rose died, and told her mother that she loved her. It was really saddening, and you weren't sure if you wanted for it to end on such a note.
However, when you read the update, each of the pages has a name, a pesterlog box, and no picture. What is in each box is the title of each page, and nothing more.
This is it.
I've taken you this far.
But now you need to do the rest.
Good luck.
You look at the screen with questioning eyes, wondering what the actual hell is happening. It was just going to end like that?! WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL.
You hear something from outside of your dwelling. You have no idea what it might be, and look outside.
The sky is red, and comets can be seen in every direction.
Your eyes widen at the realization and start downloading the copy of SBURB. If couldn't be a coincidence, it couldn't be.
You talk to your friends, and sure enough it's happening with them as well.
The game is real.
