the Shepards while they won't be directly involved in the RP well some will be more involved then others but all members of this family will have a part to play in the Galaxy's future.

1. Martin Shepard: Born 2124 CE Martin inherited a large sum of money from a distant relative he was a smart investor and by 2161 he had became the largest shareholder in the early Conatix Industies under his guidance the beginning of human Biotics was capitalized on. By this time he had two children and a wife he kept his corporation alive until 2169 CE when the main corporation of Conatix folded with the failure of BAaT. being the sly man he is he was able to invest and form three distinct Corporations Heyuan Genomics, Vorix Armaments and Northstrum Shipyards. with these companies by 2178 CE he became one of the richest Humans in the Galaxy with this vast wealth and connections he plays a dormant yet unseen role in the Galaxy.

2. Sasha Shepard: Born 2128 CE Sasha was born into a dedicated and storied Military Family she met Martin at a high end party where she fell in love. After Jane and john were born the marriage began to sour as Martin became unfaithful and he began to dabble in more unsavory business practices. after their third child Darren was born life changed Martin had changed when Darren became five Sasha found disturbing evidence she left with her child to which in shady and unknown circumstances she met her end and Darren had gone missing.

3. Jane Shepard: The first child born the Martin and Sasha Shepard she was born in 2148 CE Jane grew up with great respect for the military and it's traditions she enlisted as soon as she could climbing the Ranks of the Navy becoming a Captain of the SSV Holgreen.
from an early age she created distance from her father more so when her mother died and Darren disappeared. She involved herself entirely into her work meeting up with her younger brother John ever so often giving him advice when he was declared KIA her heart was broken after the Battle of the citadel where her tactics and bravery in conjunction with her brothers actions and Anderson becoming the human councilor she was promoted to Rear-Admiral.

4. John Shepard: The second born child in the Shepard family John was born 2154 CE and as they say the rest is history some things that should be stated is after the now famous battle of the citadel John while routine scans for Geth activity he was attacked by an unknown vessel he was declared KIA the Galaxy was shocked and saddened as a hero was lost. He had a close relationship with his Brother and sister he was deeply effected by his brothers disappearance.

5. Darren Shepard: The last Child born to the Shepard family unknown to the rest of his family his father had him genetically altered to excel in forming complex thoughts at a young age which allowed his natural talents to excel ten fold he became a prodigy in the fields of engineering, Genetics, Physics and battle IQ. at the age of five Darren was taken by his mother only Darren really knew what happened that fateful night. This however was not the end of Darren's story just the beginning Martin using his vast connections to work out a deal with the Quarian flotilla in trade for 35 new ships including 5 life ships, Darren was taken into the the flotilla given his own envirosuit and adsorbed into the Quarian people. Under the teaching of the Quarian master engineers his skills exploded into an elite level.

This being said there is alot more info about these characters that i will explain and evolve further.

1. Ken'Razo Nar Zoram: the Captain of the Darkstar Born in 2163 CE aboard the flotilla on the Zoram he was different from the start. At an early age Ken showed an intense distaste for the envirosuits that his people were confined to being a gifted engineer even amoung the Quarians. He made several attempts to artificially make an environment that would sustain him even if it men't using resources that where not his to use. After being sent on his Pilgrimage more to just get him off the flotilla for what was seen as adverse and unscrupulous use of resources he found himself in hell in an asteroid Omega.

2. Korta'Vimma Vas Zoram: A brilliant geneticist and biologist She is a respected member of the flotilla. Born in 2160 CE aboard the Morah A vessel devoted to the Advancements of biologic improvement and development of cybernetic warfare against the Geth. in 2178 CE She made a discovery that would change the flotilla's military A temporary Immuno-booster that would also boost combat awareness and effectiveness. The drawbacks were largely severe and after three years she filed to discontinue the supplement which was declined and in fact the Admiralty board demanded more to be produced. After a falling out Korta along with her brother fled to Illium.

3. Kotar'Vassos Vas Zoram: A battle hardened Marine who spent most of his life fighting for the Flotilla in numerous secret skirmishes with the Geth and the various terminus Mercenary Groups. He was born in 2156 CE unlike most of his people he never really excelled in engineering but instead he had excelled in combat tactics and military operations in 2178 CE he took part in an operation which involved a skirmish with a Geth scouting party he was injured in the battle and was close to succumbing from an infection thanks to his sisters immuno booster his life was saved and his battle prowess was increased but soon after side effects took hold which adversely effected him which was a major cause for him and his sister's departure from the flotilla and escape to Illium.

These are the three main Quarian characters of the story i will make a list for the shepards if wanted.

hmm okay well here is my thought process for the Darkstar the crew will be decided by the players but i have some key characters already made that will play roles in the Galaxy big and unseen or small an known. i can give a list of characters and some of their backgrounds which should shed some light on the modified lore.

@TheMinorFall thanks gotta love Tokyo ghoul Mass Effect can be fairly complex but i would focus more on lore and familiarizing ones self on the background of the Galaxy as we won't follow the main storyline much and it will be altered anyways.

So i had this idea for a Mass effect RP the title Mass effect tales of the darkstar it would take place from ME2 onward. It would follow the crew of the Darkstar a lone Frigate manned by an assortment of men and women from different backgrounds and race. on a journey with unknown repercussions that would resound to every corner of the Milky way.
to get some things out of the way there is some Key differences from the Cannon story.

1. There is three Shepards yes our favorite Commander Shepard is a middle child in the RP he has an older sister and younger brother.

2. Shepards family is expanded to include his father and mother

3. Due to my distaste for the current cannon ending for ME3 the story will get an overhall mainly with the re-addition of the Dark energy storyline although that will be dealt with more in depth if asked here or when the RP thread is created.

4. Expect tweaks in past events of characters and the Galaxy at large

Also i would like to explain some other details this RP is a more grounded one on the scale of events. while there is interplay with the grander scheme of the Galaxy at large alot of the RP is smaller in scale it's focus is on the crew of the Darkstar and their interactions with the factions, people, planets and sometimes governments of the galaxy. don't expect every are or mission to have the fate of the galaxy in the balance in fact Galaxy shaking events won't happen for a good chunk of time timeline speaking.
Furthermore i am somewhat new to this Platform so i would love to have one or more persons willing to help with the GM role of the RP and general tips and tricks of the site, I know open up this post for discussion and dissection feel free to show interest, concern etc... i am happy respond and i will base my attention off the level of interest shown as i am apart of other RPs but i will devote my time accordingly

Fryor walked the the cobbled path he kept his eyes low and put his hood over his head. From past experiences the locals did not take to his kin men worked the fields outlying the the city they paid him no mind as it was not an uncommon sight at least he assumed.
"Hmm hopefully there is a warm plate for my sorry rags." Fryor sighed to himself. He put his hand over his stomach as a low grumble rumbled and turned, with that in mind he picked up his pace into the city.
