Nathair sighed with relief as the man left for his chores. Sind had a hard time round most humans. Fear of human's had been something his trainer's had made sure to imbibe into him from the moment of his birth. However even dragons, especially the older ones made him feel just as uncomfortable. They seemed to look at him as some kind of traitor to dragonkind.

It had taken him time to be comfortable with even Mel. He could remember how hard it was for him to even speak in those early days. It was much harder too talk after so many months in the wild. Though Mel eventually managed to break through his shell, she had a way with most dragons. Sind was no exception and had no choice but to warm up to her.

"Mmm Practice sounds good. I have already had breakfast during my flight. I managed to snag a squirrel or four and some miscellaneous birds on the way. Nothing beats a breakfast of delicious fresh zapped squirrel in the morning. Nice and crunchy" said Sind. "What do you have planned for today?" he asked her. "I'm pretty sure that I can manage a good rolling scissor. So why don't we try something more complicated" he asked, with eyes glittering with excitement.

With my post I think our group is ready for a parse of the battle...
Pain burned through his arm, a kind of formless sudden heat taking over. He had just grazed a part of the shimmering webbing that the spiders had spun in response to Allison’s attack. Slowly the pain in his arm ebbed leaving a kind of numbness across it, causing it to respond to him sluggishly. He wouldn’t be able to rely on it, but it was an acceptable loss in return for better positioning.

He could sense that the spider he had targeted earlier had succumbed to its wounds, it lay on the ground cold. However the monstermen unsure of the status made attempts to ensure that the spider was truly down. A stupid move all in all, it would have been far more helpful if they had focused on the alive spiders. They had wasted crucial time doing something completely redundant.

It would seem that they would require some amount of training. His allies on the other hand had successfully managed to attract the spiders’ attention. The creatures had spread out somewhat, to reduce collateral damage from Allison and Aron’s attack. It also allowed Emeka a chance to focus on one of the spiders at a time, all he had to do was make sure to place himself in such a way that If the spiders were to retaliate they would have to chance hitting the spider in trouble.

Spotting his prey, a spider on the corner of the formation, Emeka ground his foot into the earth and blasted off fire exploding behind his feet. Now rocketing towards the spider from the flank, he collected his strength into his still working right hand. His fist glowed all the more brightly, its warmth bending the air around it. Then added with his momentum and heat, he punched the spider with a surge of strength as soon as he was in range.

The earth rolled by under, like the spine of a great verdant dragon. Sid flew between it and the cotton bud clouds that blanketed the sky. The only hint of his motion was the constant hum of moving air and the small clouds that ran past his vision.

For a dragon there was no other place as natural as being in flight, no greater freedom. This was something all dragon’s understood at least instinctively. For Sind it was a constant reminder of what could be, if only he knew how. He often pondered how humans, as powerful as they were, never learned how to fly, or how to grow wings. It was strange how they were so strong yet at the same time so weak. It was a puzzle that intrigued him greatly…

He sensed the warm currents of a thermal a little ways of to the east, he banked gently to ensure that his path connected with it. He felt the warm air caress his feathers as he caught the thermal, and began a smooth ascent. As he pierced the cloud cover his vision was surrounded by the grey of clouds, and his nostrils overflowed with scent of fresh moisture of morning cloud.

Then suddenly he broke past, and into a world of light and warmth. The radiant sun bathed him in its warmth, its gold rays causing his cobalt scales to glitter and his feathers to shine iridescent. His feathers shone like they were happy. Sind was most definitely happy.

As he noticed the position of the sun, he decided that it was time to go back. His rider, Mel had probably just finished her morning training. So drawing his wings close to his flank he dove back into the sea of clouds below him. It was time to sprint back to guild, test how much he could push himself. It was something he did every day, see how fast, how long he could go.

Time had moved past the heart of morning by the time Sind reached the guild. Unfortunately he was slower today than usual, mostly due to a stronger than usual head wind. He banked until he spotted the grounds, with their soft sands to ease landing. It was normal landing without much fuss, which meant it was good one. Drawing his wings, legs, tail almost inwards but in a direction he couldn’t quite see. Soon enough he was a human, all limbs and no wings.

Now to look for Melaniya, at this time the best place to search was the dining hall. If he was quick enough he’d be able to catch her just before she left. So jogging into the guild he made headway to the dining hall. Lo and behold he found her two thirds of the way down.

“Good morning to you rider, how went your training eh? Good or great?! Cause my morning flight terrific!” he said, his sunny demeanor breaking through his usual timidness. Most probably the comfort he shared with his rider.

Then he noticed Nathair, causing him to quickly revert back to his timid demeanor. "Oh u-um good morning, sir...." he said his eyes downcast.
