Gaul Keldran hated rain, It was messy, made the roads more difficult and the water would collect in the back of his eye sockets and make an unbearable sloshing sound. He had to constantly remind himself why he was here, otherwise he'd have turned around and went back. The town of Helsann was as dismal as the sky and more empty than one of his skeletons heads. He spared a moment to survey the walls and check to see if there was any obvious weaknesses and then headed to the town hall.

When he arrived he saw the other two Champions had beaten him there which didn't bother him overmuch. One of the few downsides to undeath is a loss of speed that can lead to some late introductions. As he entered the Foyer Theow asked if anyone had been to Helsaan before to which Gaul replied "I came with my old tutor a few times when the old man could be bothered to leave his tower" Gaul said as he shucked the soaked outer robe and handed to the skeleton that he had accompanying him "But if memory serves it was a little more lively in those days" he finished as he strode over to the fireplace.

Gaul stared into the fire for a second as he tried to recall what it felt like to be warm but then he quickly shook the errant thought away as he gingerly pulled his skull off of his neck with a slight pop. bending over slightly Gaul turned his skull face down over the flames and shook it lightly as a stream of rainwater poured out and hissed into the fire. After getting all the liquid out of his head he placed his skull back on with another slight pop. He noticed the mortified looks some of the servants were giving him and slightly embarrassed he strode back over to his skeleton envoy and the two slunk off to the corner to await the mayor.

Personality:
Gaul is a man of conviction who believes that the only true way to prove that one is right is to prove themselves by asserting their beliefs. As such his belief that life is a burden that limits humanity has led him to accumulate a large following of converted former critics. He is uncompromising and rigid in his thought and action demanding the same perfection in his subordinates, as such he does not tolerate failure. He sees undeath as a blessing in which pain is removed and everyone is given purpose as they serve the most capable and powerful.

Origin Myth:
Gaul Keldran Was the oldest of the three apprentices of one of the greatest magicians who had ever lived. He and his two compatriots had studied under the old man for years and it had been Gaul who had shone the most. He was the best mage, the fastest reader, and the quickest learner. The dimwits who had been his compatriots had paled in comparison to him and it was he who the old man had declared to be his replacement. Then one night some crazy old fool barged in on dinner and started rambling about some ancient prophecy and how the air-headed youngest of the three apprentices was some kind of "Chosen One". After finishing his delusional story the old bastard died and ruined dinner, what was worse was that apparently the crazy hobo was the old mans brother and the old man took him seriously. Gaul was promptly passed up by the old man and the idiot younger boy was made the old mans head apprentice.

Suffice it to say that Gaul was displeased by this turn of events, so he did what any very powerful young mage would do when a little drunk and pissed as hell. He opened an ancient book of forbidden arts and turned himself into a Lich. After completing his transformation Gaul decided that he rather liked being dead and made the executive decision the old man and that dumb ass kid that had passed him up needed to be dead as well. So Gaul used his new found power to promptly murder the hell out of the two and turn them into his first undead servants and since then he hasn't looked back.

Powers/Skills/Abilities:
Raise Dead: Gaul calls into the afterlife and pulls a few spirits into the mortal realm summoning a small collection of undead fighters under his control.(fast but fragile)

Pact of the Grave: Gaul sacrifices some of the spirits under his command to summon a Grave-Lord.(Slow moving but heavily armored)

Pact of Shadow: Gaul sacrifices some more souls under his command to summon a Wraith.( Very Fast and can turn invisible but even more fragile)

Pact of Pestilence: Sacrifice some souls to summon a Plague-Bearer.(weak physically but spews debilitating diseases)

Plague-Bearer

Walking Wasteland: Gaul curses the very ground and air around him strengthening his undead and weakening his enemies.
Skeletons: Becomes faster, stronger and smarter
Grave-Lord: Gains the ability to project an arcane shield around itself and nearby allies
Wraith: Prolonged invisibility and they gain the ability to steal their victims life-force with each attack
Plague-Bearer: Gains a long range Bile spit attack
Shallow Grave: Gauls most powerful spell is to reach into the realm of the dead to drag a recently deceased ally back into the world of the living the blowback from this leaves him unable to use his magic.(resurrect an ally but leaves him unable to cast spells for a while)

Staff of Skulls: This staff is Gauls most prized possession and is instrumental to his spellcasting. (if lost the number of souls he could summon would be halved and he would be unable to cast Walking Wasteland)

History:
The Cahill Clan was created By Harold Cahill when his business was endangered due to rough economic times. He used the funding to keep his delivery company afloat but decided the extra cash was to much to give up on and so has stuck with his newfound life of crime creating the Cahill Clan

Basic Personality: Harry is a stern man who has endured much in his life. He's buried two wives and one son and nearly lost his life's work when the Delivery company nearly shut down. However he is still jovial and warm to his friends and his subordinates see him as a father figure calling him "Pop" Cahill.

History:
When Harry Cahill was 18 he married the love of his life, Sarah Jesperson. When he was 22 She gave birth to his first child but unfortunately Sarah would die shortly after giving birth and the little baby boy would only live for a few months before joining its mother.Harry was heartbroken and attempted suicide at the young age of 23 he failed however and was hospitalized. While he was being treated he met a young nurse name Theresa Franklin and the two would begin to see each other romantically for the next two years. Finally Harry married Theresa and he opened Cahill Deliveries which was a success. Theresa would give birth to Harry's second son, Thomas when he was 25, the boy was healthy and so was Theresa and so Harry was happy. However tragedy would strike again, when Harry had turned 46 Theresa was diagnosed with cancer and passed away three years later. Around this time the economy had begun to falter and the family business was beginning to strain and soon after it would be on the verge of collapse leading to the creation of the Cahill Clan.

Other: Harry doesn't involve himself in the dirty deeds of his illicit activities as he prefers to let Thomas do that for him.

Basic Personality: Thomas is rather passive and quite prefering to let his actions speak for him. When he does talk he doesn't raise his voice and tries to come off as calmly as possible. He is a salesman at heart and loves pushing product and ensuring customer loyalty.
