I'm going to have to disagree vehemently on that. RP'S with inflexible rules concerning their sheets (which are often long) fail the majority of the time. While the rules were looser a good example of this is Interstellar Ascension, an RP that launched with most users having 5-10k sheets and one that had so much cooperative lore that I've yet to see anything similar.
It died 7 posts in.
Really? I've seen the total opposite. I've been in RPs with very small sheets and loose rules that die in like 14 posts, and most RPs I see with longer sheets seem to last longer as well, because the undevoted simply don't make it into the IC.
The last RP I GMed had massive Character Sheets, and a character with a 20,000 word C.S. While I consider the R.P. to be a failure, it did manage to last until at least 40 posts in- plus, the cause of death for the RP was because I could no longer GM, and nobody else could fill the role, not because of the sheets.
In counter, Roleplays that ask little of prospective players seem to get very little in return.
It seems me and you have had opposite experiences
So let us just agree to disagree.

No but seriously, I've literally been dead OOC, my NS hasn't been updated in some time and I don't even read the IC tbh. If I stick around, I'll most likely still never actually get a post up or if I do they'll be few and far between at which point I'll eventually just sort of shimmy out of existence in this RP. In short, it'd just prolong the process without actually solving the problem of my lack of interest.
Honestly, though, I believe that if you stick around for a while longer, you may find your interest coming back. It's happened to me before, and often. Normally that's what I do when I lose interest in an RP- I just hang around until my interest inevitably drifts back in. It's never failed to happen, and usually I'm back in the RP after just a few days or a week. xD

Personally I already see that as my own lack of commitment which your system has weeded out. In a way I've already failed as a RPer in this RP in that sense. I just cannot see how just staying in longer will really do anything. Its not like I'm playing a major influence race tbh unless people really want me to push out a half-assed post every ye often.
Besides, even if I did have the energy to go write IC, my perpetually incomplete NS is basically preventing me from doing any such thing.
Failed as an RPer? Duuuuude/giiiiiirl, don't be so harsh on yourself. You haven't failed. There are people less complete than you who are still in this thing
But very well. If you wish to go, you can. But I really like your idea, so if you change your mind at some point in the future, I'll keep a spot open for you :)
