Current Pirates, monsters, magic, islands and no civilization to steal from. Hmm.

Now, what happens when you have a bunch of monsters that were living in a forest and they get transmigrated into a futuristic urban setting?

I know that few, if any, people on this site would be interested in it... but... I just got an idea for a SAO/GGO/XCOM/UFO crossover... fun tingles...

Life has never given mankind sufficient time... nor sleep... nor comprehension. If it had, we would have stopped trying.

It can be greatly refreshing to return to a thing that one has long loved.

You have all been doing an awesome job! If you weren't full already I'd probably have a CS half finished by now, to be honest. Though, I'm pretty sure that you might have objections to a ceiling crawling assassin slime though a goblin specializing in poisoned javelins and darts might be more acceptable...

And,@Zeroth, your method is the most effective GM method that I've seen in a roleplay... period. And I've been roleplaying for about 12 years now.
I've been looking over your interests and past characters, though many of the images aren't showing up on my computer. I have actually been musing on a potential plot that would combine Fantasy with Rebel vs Government. I was thinking of using a Fox/Drake kobold male as a character for myself with a setting starting in a large sewer/dungeon tunnel and cave complex that the Human/Elven Alliance Capital was built on top of.

In this empire, both elves and humans would be the corrupt, slave owning, powerful, and dangerous upper class. Dwarves, gnomes, and possibly a couple other races would live at the peasant level. Most of the slaves would be inherently magical creatures that would be purchased/kept for specific reasons. I believe that your fire fairy character may be a good fit for this part, though I don't want to limit you.

If this sounds interesting to you, please send me a PM and we can discuss it further without cluttering your search thread.

@Jangel13 Skrik the Goblin

Skrik was a serious sort but even he could appreciate the humor in a goblin trying and failing to out-hop a bunny. However, it was a less humorous moment when it ended with his nose dripping river water. He was glad that he had prepared to catch himself. He'd have had a thoroughly pebbled face if he hadn't. Yet there was a price to pay for the horned rabbit's momentary escape.

He caught a glimpse of his reflection.

Flyinggothhippieclowns I'm an ugly creeper aren't I!

Skrik wasn't sure whether he shivered from the river's chill or from the realization that he was truly frightening to look at, even for another goblin. Something deep down inside him, something that he only rarely remembered consciously, suddenly twisted like a dull knife. Reminded of his loneliness and firmly certain that it was going to last, Skrik looked at the horned rabbit. His mouth split into an impossibly wide grin lined with sharp and vicious teeth. His eyes took on a distant, deep, and wretched gleam as they took in the situation and the animal in front of him hungrily.

In his eyes it was already dead, separated into distinct parts. It could only move in a few ways. It was ready to fight. He would eat it. He locked gazes with the beast and lowered his head to drink from his edge of the stream. If the beast was going to fight over water then this would be the perfect provocation. His poisoned knife and the sharp nails of his free hand were both ready.

If it charged head-on then he would snap his left arm out to catch it by the legs and body, or slash it trying. If it slowed, or he succeeded in catching it, then he would strike with his knife before it could do anything more than panic. If, however, it managed to get him with its horn then he was prepared to pin it against his body and kill it there before it could gain distance. When this fight was over. He had some thinking to do.

@Jangel13, thanks for the clarity. I don't think my poison is strong enough to do much of anything to a critter that size. I'll need to concentrate and improve it first... and then make some poison javelins.
@Jangel13, I have a question. How far from the trolls is Skrik right now? Both locations mention a river though specific details about location are lacking. In short, is Skrik going to have to decide between abandoning his current fight or ignoring this other goblin's plight?

If he's gonna fight trolls... he needs more poisons... lots more poisons.
No rush, but thanks! @Jangel13
@Wildman13 I'm doing alright... Getting a wee bit bored at the present pace but I can deal with it.

I did just have to re-read my CS though... I couldn't remember my character.
I... have now read the entire IC and I'm looking forward to reading more. This is an awesome piece of work.
Mhr... coffee.
@Jangel13 I'm thinking of the fact that heading toward the Shaman path would require a way to study magic. This would be a way to start that while interweaving it with other natural studies.
