Current I am bad, and that is good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There is no-one I'd rather be, but me.

I'll get a post up in a few minutes, since it's Friday and that means no early night because of work, yesh! I will also make a small edit or two to my back-story on my sheet, as I figured there's one or two things I'd like to mention I hadn't covered. Won't change a great deal though.

Nice! Be sure to nudge me when you are done with the edits so I can have a read through.

Azariel I'm not totally sure, but I feel like you should go reread the intro post. Your post seems to miss the fact that the world has gone to hell. Just a friendly suggestion.

Regrettably I must be in agreement with Invictus on this. I am not sure what your boss would do with a datachip without the tech to run it.

I'm really interested in following this. I'm not actually going to join, as it seems too high-quality for my hands to muddy (and I'm too involved with other things as well), but I am going to follow it. I just wanted to say that you've gained yourselves a reader.

Oh uh. Wow... I'm not really sure what to say. I'm really happy you like what you've seen. If you want to post comments in the OOC feel free anytime.

considering several other threads I joined before this one popped up have been crossed out, I have the time to devote to this one if you'd have me.

You've just scraped in! Feel free to make a character sheet and I look forwards to seeing you in blackout 2030.
Thank you very much for showing interest reader. Regrettably as of now I will not be accepting character sheets from anyone who has not already stated their interest. If you are interested in joining Blackout 2030 please feel free to state your interest and should a place open up I will be in contact.

just realized I left mikes age out

Yeah. Afraid I couldn't say mikes age as a result. Is your profile pic reflective of his appearance?
Allaina noted Kayals advice regarding the drink and quickly shunted it away from herself as she tried to scrape the aftertaste off her tongue desperately with her fingernails. This continued for a couple of seconds before Allaina was ready to speak once more. Allaina looked up again switching her gaze between Zana and Tagorn whom she assumed would both know the answers to her questions.

"Well uhhh... I don't really remember much of anything beyond yesterday. Boats float and birds fly. That kind of thing I understand but theres a massive swathe of information I've forgotten."

Allaina paused to take a deep breath as the sorrow kicked in once more before shunting it aside to merely a slight hint of sadness. There would be time for sorrow later, she couldn't waste it now.

"Allaina isn't even my actual name... Not as far as I know anyway." She said quietly.
Your move Oliver (milkman). Your move.
Ashers head snapped round and her ears (literally) pricked up as her future commander began to speak. She had to suppress the urge to chuckle as she noted his incredibly strong accent and instead she contented herself with a wolfish grin and listened. Ashers was relieved to find Silverwind was not what she considered to be a "stiff". Had that been true she knew she'd have had a particularly rough time ahead of her. As it stood this guy actually made her laugh when he whistled for a rather attractive female red panda by the name of Iriana or "Irry". Ashers quickly dismissed Iriana's actual name as tricky to say and substituted in Irry in its place. She did something similar for Silverwind. Provided he didn't gut her for it when she used it first time he would simply be known as Silver. Ashers threw him a casual salute and a smile as she passed him with the rest of the group on the way into The Parvan's Claw. "Nice t'meet you sir." She added cheerfully.

Ashers walked with a slightly excessive bounce in her step and couldn't stop fidgeting with her khaki green rucksacks bag straps as she followed Irry through the Claw's maze of tight corridors, doorways and steep staircases. Ashers actually felt quite at home in these small spaces. They were somewhat reminiscent of the service tunnels she had spent countless hours of her childhood in back at the racetrack and the various pipes and notices that occupied the spaces added character and meant the eye always had something to gaze on rather than a featureless wall. As always seemed to happen when one moves with a group they were walking painfully slowly and it felt as though if she didn't keep her paces short she would ultimately be stepping on someones heels or worse their tails. Ashers didn't let this bother her long and instead examined the other members of her group as they travelled. There was a jackal, two tigers (one of whom appeared about Ashers age and the other of the much rarer grey/white furred variation) and a lynx all of whom were male. There were also two females besides Ashers and Irry; a rather short bat and an extremely effeminate yet somewhat flat chested goat. Eventually, despite the plodding pace the group had moved, they arrived at their destination.

"Your assigned station... stick to your crew quarters." Irry informed the group which immediately drew a groan from Ashers. Being confined to such a small space was not exactly Ashers idea of a good time. In fact Ashers had been somewhat looking forwards to spending a fair amount of her free time tinkering with the vehicles here and her GEAR when she could get her hands on it. Nonetheless Ashers decided to make the best of a bad situation and the moment the group was dismissed she paired up with the younger looking tiger (oliver) and, once the group had dispersed somewhat, let out a great big wolf whistle she was sure would be attributed to the tiger she was with and was bound to get him in all kinds of trouble with the teams females.

Also, Ashers' bewbies. I missed them. And there goes all my credibility around here.

FOR SHAME SIR! *Throws down glove.*
And we're off. I really am sorry the launch was so far behind schedule and I hope it was worth the wait. Enjoy!

The frigid cold of "Great" Britain's weather permeated the air, penetrating deep into its buildings and the unfortunate citizens mercilessly and without judgment. What might once have made the country "Great" could no longer be discerned by anyone in a position to see it now. The few people who dared to go outside occupied themselves by ransacking what little was left on the shelves of the broken down shops or by burning cars and other debris for warmth. It was clear someone, either the army or an enterprising criminal, had been by to siphon the gas from vehicles overnight and had left behind them useless piles of metal sat in sludgy pools of molten snow and gas fumes. The countries people had lost their lifestyle and along with it, their sense of purpose. For a few special individuals dotted around Basingstoke that freezing winter, this was not the case.

"Rise and shine agent." Alan's voice rang across their AR systems. As always his tone was calm and professional yet somehow deep and warm. The slightest inflections in his voice betrayed an american background but otherwise it was impossible to discern anything from his voice at all bar what he was saying. He was uncompromising in his emotional neutrality and precise in his pronunciation. "I trust you are well rested. Rendezvous has been scheduled for O-nine-hundred hours this morning at Saint Michaels Church. You will attend the morning sermon then meet by the altar where you will await further instructions. Location details and directions are being streamed to you AR now. Over and Out."

Suddenly the agents augmented reality systems flared into life. In the bottom left appeared an image of what was presumably Saint Michael's church. Translucent, honey-hued amber text appeared in the top left detailing the address and then a fine line in matching colours emerged in the air like a trail of floating silk, marking the path that needed to be taken. With every slight change of position the silk wavered slightly as the advanced circuitry on board the augmented reality system recalculated and micromanaged the path lending the trail the appearance of blowing in the wind.

The church path had been swept but the result of 3 days straight of heavy snowfall had been had to erase. A thick layer of ice encrusted the concrete slabs that led to the church buildings single heavy wooden door. The inside of the building was tall and ornate, mostly wood furnished aside from what had been made of stone. Its large stained glass windows seemed to glow with light despite the relative gloom outside. Without any occupants the place seemed quiet and solitary. A brilliant place for reflection regardless of personal beliefs. The building, like the world outside waited in silence for a saviour. Whether it was to come nobody knew.
