Well there's that, and the fact that the value of upgrading them is still pretty low for us. Even with our shitty trains you can still easily travel anywhere in the country within 12 hours max. Hell, my train from London to Edinburgh is only 4.5-5.5 hours usually. So there's little motivation to upgrade (depressing considering we invented trains in the first place...) But obviously in the US the story is somewhat different and better tech is required.

I dunno, I didn't think occasionally sleeping rough was a big enough deal to constitute an adventure or whatever. It's not the first time I've ended up doing it, just first time in a new city... maybe that says more about me than anything else. I posted this because of the ridiculous series of events leading up to it.

Anyway it was pretty uninteresting. Just fucking cold and wet like you'd expect. I also met some very nice people in a mcdonalds who let me stay there for a while. Gonna leave a 5 stars on TripAdvisor :P

And if you tell this story to the right people in the right way, you might get laid.
