Gavin fidgeted but held onto Conner's hand. Waiting in line was not one of his favorite things. "Hey Conner, what do you think we are doing here," he asked, completely forgetting about Conner's vision problem.
Connor turned towards Gavin. "I guess we're shopping. What should we get? What is it like at the orphanage? We should get something to do!" He grinned at the thought. It had been a long time since he'd had some sort of creature comfort.
@LoonyWell, it wasn't a needle. It was a sort of button-activated cylinder (Kind of like the one that vaccines have) that didn't hurt as much as it shocked. But apparently, I'm fine.
I got tested for lead on Friday!

@Bornite "Partners? Sure!" Connor rose to his feet and stuck out his hand. "I think you might have to pull me, if that's okay."
"Why have you got that thing on your face? Are you blind like that big girl," he asked, pointing over to Katherin. "Are you hungry? Breakfast was over when you got here. I got an apple if you want it?"
"Blind? Well, yes, I guess you could put it like that. Thank you for the apple, but I don't really know what coffee is." He took the apple and ate it.
