"Here you come...and here I go!" The suit surged forward and...jumped straight onto Abigail's sword. The previously impenetrable armor found purchase in the front suddenly, as cracks appeared all over the breastplate. There was an explosion of boiling steam and water around the room, as the sword went clean through, the backside of the armor gone, the boiler now fallen from the back and burst open from over expanding. No flesh though, no blood, and nobody inside.
Instead, near the exit of the room, was a short blonde in a stained Navy uniform, goggles pulled up from her blue eyes, a key in her hand, and a smug look on her face. Her left arm was burned, with a few cuts from the exploding armor. Remnants of the armor were scattered about her; the backside of the suit was also the entrance. It was apparent now that she was almost Abigail's age. Being an immature brat 99% of the time was just a personality flaw.
"Alright stupid pirate, you win. Your damn lightning got into the boiler, and conducted the water. Overheated the reserves, and turned it into too much steam. I could feel the pipes creaking as the steam tried to get out, with the vents not going fast enough. If I kept fighting, I'd burn out in minutes, with the overheated pipes expanding and cracking the armor, and as you can see, let your sword go right through." As she spoke, Sophia moved a small panel from the wall, and stuck the key inside. With a turn, the doors at both the entrance and exit slid open, and she tossed the key across the room to the pirate.
"This hallway leads to the back rooms," she explained, sighing with exhaustion. She slid down to the floor, examining her injured arm now. "And that key is universal for all of these little battle chambers. You'll be able to get into Lenny's and Captain Yami's rooms from the back, and help your crewmates. What you do with them is your call, but I'm not feeling loyal enough to save those assholes."
After a moment, she looked up at Abigail now, smirking a little. "I thought I'd be angrier about you breaking my armor, but maybe it was at least a little fun getting to use it all-out against you. Go on and save your friends. I'll go ahead and take the loss fair and square. Could you do this kid a favor though and let me live in exchange?"
