Aya's own thoughts kept returning to Destin as well, but particularly to what he had said about the Broms. There was no way someone as kind as him could be in a group like the Rabins had described to her so many times. Then there was what he had said about Sacha and the past leader of the Broms. It seemed entirely unlikely but... Well, you could never be sure without some kind of confirmation. She simply would have a lot of questions to ask her leader when she got back. Unknown to her, she was nearing Sacha and Selena.
Aya nods at a Destin's worry realises that she too should be getting back. She stands up and smiles in farewell. "It was lovely to meet you, Destin! Truly, it was. I can't wait to see you again!" Before she headed off she remembered what she'd actually came to do and quickly picked some of the same leaves Destin had chosen earlier. With that done she crosses the river to head home.

Still seeing no sign of anyone, Marik shifted for just a moment and sniffed the air. Among the fresh scents of the trees he could hint just a faint whiff of rabbit blood and someone unfamiliar. It seemed someone was nearby. There was nothing surprising in that. There were often visitors to the forest, or it could be that character John who stuck around. Either way it was worth an investigation. He shifted back and headed in the direction the scent had come from.

I FELL ASLEEP sorry!! DX))

Nadia remained asleep for a good while, before jolting awake. She rubs her eyes with a short yawn, and stretches. She then unbuckles the belt and puts it back on carefully. She was a ways up the tree and didn't want to fall out.
Nadia eventually drops to the forest floor with a thud, landing on her feet. She inwardly groans as her ankles pop uncomfortably, but she can stand the pain. After a moment she heads over to the bushes where her bag was stashed. Leaning down, she retrieves a bottle of water and takes a sip to chase the morning breath out of her mouth. The forest was relatively quiet.

Marik looked around and decided to head deeper into the unclaimed part of the forest. It had been a while since he'd last been there and the lack of threats around this part of the border seemed to imply that it would do no harm to the Rabins to stray slightly from an ordinary border patrol. He walked slowly beneath the trees, his feet crunching over the fallen leaves.

Destin nods. "Yeah most definitely would be. Oh that's the worst!" He giggles a bit. "Fabine always shouts when he's told to rest. Apparently restng to him is like a nap. Pointless." He shakes his head, resting his head on her knee, forgetting they were enemies. He nods. "No...I could never imagine hurting anyone...What about you?" He asks, looking up at her.

The more Aya heard about Fabine the less she liked him, but Destin didn't seem too bothered by it. Besides, the way he had put his head on her knee was endearing. She pats the top of his head again. "Oh, no, not at all! It would seem wrong, you know? Like the very opposite of what I'm supposed to do." she shakes her head at thought of someone else's pain.
Aya nods in understanding. "Some help would definitely be nice then. Oh, and then when they don't listen when you tell them to rest!" she was glad someone else knew the struggles of being a healer. "I'm glad you don't use it to hurt anyone. There certainly are enough people who already know how to do that."
Aya reaches over and scratches the tops of his head. "I'm the only healer at the moment too! It would be nice to have some help around, but at least there's more room for stock." She sighs a bit. "It can be a little hard being the only one who doesn't know how to fight. But you have that dagger, don't you? Can you use it?"
Aya scratches the back of her neck, blushing a bit. "Thanks... I reckon all hawks must be pretty!" She looks at the hill with him. "No... Not really. That's a shame, isn't it? A house would be amazing!" She thinks of the camp. "Everyone basically stays in tents. The healer's tent is definitely the most sturdy, but it's nothing like a house." She smiles at Destin. "It would be so nice to live in a little house on top of a hill like that." she laughs, imagining the Rabins trying to build a house together. "I'm not sure that the Rabins really engineering-prone in anyway unfortunately!"
"That's amazing! I wish I could do that. A hawk is hardly a comforting animal to have watching you." She giggles, thinking of the sharp stare she sometimes caught when she looked at her reflection in the river as a hawk. She thinks over Destin's description of the scents of camp. "Hmm... that's really cool. I wonder if that means the Brom side has more trees?" She points momentarily back towards Rabin camp. "The only thing of note on our side is this small hill. You can see it from here."
Aya keeps patting him and smiles. "Aww, you really are just like a cat! You must be such a comfort to the Broms when they're injured." She withdraws her hand sits beside him. "Oh yeah! It's always exciting to see what a newcomer shifts into. What's it like being an ocelot? You said before something about smelling whose around? That must be useful. Oh, and you could sniff out herbs too!"
Aya jumps at the opportunity to pat him, reaching out and scratching his chin. She didn't think she quite knew Destin well enough to hold him or anything, but just the ability to feel his soft fur was special. "Well, I guess I like all animals. It's a little hard not to given our situation, huh?" She laughs a little. "But yeah, cats are particularly cute. I never had one but they were always around the neighbourhood at home. None of them were quite as friendly as you."
