"Yes, I agree." Brianna nods to Hunter and removes the key to the cage from her pocket. "An area such as this is certainly no place to be experimenting on a subject. We'll take him across the hall and hook him up to the brain wave monitoring machine. When I saw the results of the last shifter we did this with," she sighed happily, "it was like a symphony on the page! Shifters really do have incredible brain patterns." She leans in to Hunter again. "The Boss has insisted that we call the subject by his real name Ambrose rather than Subject 10. I'm sure you of all people will know how to make good use of that, yes?" She stepped away and clicked the key into the lock. "Ambrose! Oh my, I am excited about the adventures the three of us are about to have." She spoke venomously to him.
Brianna strode into the room, clipboard and pen in hand, and greeted her fellow scientist with a sharp nod. "Ah, Hunter! What a surprise. We haven't worked together since..." She flicked through a couple of pages on the clipboard, eyes widening slightly as she glanced at what was a rather gruesome image. "... Oh, yes. That subject." Her gaze flicked back up. "To be honest, I'm glad. We have free reign to do whatever we please to the subject today." She pulled back a stray bit of hair behind her ear. "Just think of the discoveries we shall make!" She leaned in to whisper to the scientists ear. "One condition; this one really does need to be kept alive today. Orders from The Boss himself." She entirely ignored the presence of Ambrose.
After Ambrose had been knocked out, Brianna had the guards place him in a thick steel cage where they kept most of the shifters who survived the first day and chain up his hands into handcuffs. That night as she lay in bed she fantasised about all the experiments they would perform on it. It was unusual of her to get so riled up about a subject, particularly one that she had to call by name. Not to mention she had to keep him alive. All she had originally wanted was a few short experiments out of the girl - the one who had vanished with no explanation - followed by a dissection. Now she had to deal with this character. She still felt violated by the touching of their lips. He was a wretch of disrespect.
Early in the morning The Boss had called her. Perhaps he had sensed her rage, for he had ensured her that she may do anything she like as long as he be kept alive for certain. His words were soft and dripping with some other plan that she couldn't explain. After his call she slipped her labcoat on and took the short walk from her apartment to the scientific facility. She tried to hurry as she knew that at the boy's cage a lab partner would be waiting for her.
"Stop right there!" Cutting in front of the befuddled group was Brianna, surrounded by an collection of guards all much larger and stronger than Ambrose. "Think you'll escape, subject?" She smirked. One of the guards approached Ambrose and snapped his wrists into a set of handcuffs. "Think again. Welcome to your new home." She approached him and tilted his chin up, their noses almost touching since she was so close. Her eyes burned with malcontent. "This will be fun for us both."
Behind every door that Ambrose encountered was yet another bizarre scene. A trio of children playing chess, one as an adjudicator. A scientist in a lab covered in chemicals that had not been quite properly displayed (several of them fell when she was started by Ambrose's interruption). A gym, full of many of Liwei's weight-lifting buddies. Two people discussing something energetically, each speaking a different language. A woman grooming a cat with a soft brush. With each bizarre scene, the inhabitant of the room began to give chase to the boy who had deserved them. They chased him up and down the halls of the facility.
There was a man playing a cello behind this door quite furiously. This was one of The Boss's youngest sons and he was quite distressed by the interruption, since he'd just been seeing if music would help him to access his shifting abilities. "Go awwwwway!" He squealed in an upset voice.
The door Ambrose had opened was the staff room door. Benjamin was eating a sandwich and watched the door open with such enthusiasm he thought it must have been the guy who lived three doors down from him. That guy loved peanut butter and a shipment had just come in. It was not. It was a boy. No, wait! It was the boy!

Sacha exhales and nods, shaking her head amidst the chaos. "Sounds like a plan. Please send a Brom to the river with Destin's things so we can pick them up later." She goes over to Dione and smiles at Destin. "Let's get you back to camp so Destin and Aya can properly treat that wound."

Aya let out a sigh of relief. It was all done. Destin was coming... He was coming home with her.

Ambrose counts to five minutes and chuckles a bit. "Shouldn't be talking? Fine then." He walks over before she can fill the syringe. "I must be off." He then kisses her firmly on the lips. "Hmmm...spite tastes gross, you should consider changing your attitude." He then shifts and quickly flies out of the room, heading towards where he hoped Liwei would be with the van.

Brianna stood and then sunk to the ground. Kissed by a teenager? Kissed by... a subject?! She ripped her pen from her shirt pocket and clicked it furiously. The Boss was right, there was no way Ambrose was going to escape. His time here would be torture. She would ensure it.
Brianna's forehead was indeed twitching and she let's him take his arm away from her. "You think shifters bother me?" she barks out a single laugh. "I couldn't care less if you were a shifter or a bug. The only thing that matters to me is the science. Subjects should not be up and about like you are." She grabs a syringe of tranquiliser. "Subjects shouldn't be talking."
