Current It has been forever since I created a new character. I'm nervous that anything I come up with for someone else's RP won't be up to par. D:

Bio

Hello. My name is Heather Lee. I'm 29 years old and I live in Iowa. I started roleplaying on Mocospace about 12 years ago, but it's been awhile since I've had time to really get into it so I'm probably a bit rusty. I'm sure it won't take too long for me to get back into the swing of things though.

I have 2 original characters that I used to use a lot. One is a nekomimi named Sayuri Neko and the other is a mermaid called Cecaelia. They have background stories, of course, but I'd prefer to put their information in a blog if that's an option anywhere.

I love urban legends, creepypasta, serial killers, the occult, some light-hearted romance (No sex please), and open roleplays with no real plots so anything can happen. I'm pretty open to different genres too, but I don't fight/battle. I just couldn't ever get into that aspect of RPG.

Anyway, I can't wait to jump into some interesting RPGs and start making some new friends. Get at me, yo. xD

Hester Carole Caldwell, whose maiden name had been Lewis, had just graduated from a very prestigious finishing school in Liverpool, England and she was living with her mother and her stepfather in their very proper, very boring flat that was more of a social club than a family home she met the very confused American tourist who would someday become her husband as she was walking toward the cinema. Her goal was to escape her mother's clutches before her friends arrived, which is when she would insist that Hester entertain them with stories about how well she had done in finishing school and she had succeeded that day. They came every afternoon for tea so her mother could brag about how successful and well-off they were "subtly" and the then nineteen-year-old had become just another win for Mrs. Lewis when she graduated at the top of her class, a task that had been hardly any challenge to her at all. She already had proper posture and she had been pouring the tea for her mother since she was old enough to wheel the silver cart and matching tea set out to the garden on her own.

The redhead sighed and rolled her eyes. A school that trains young girls to be proper little wives and hostesses, what a sexist concept, she thought to herself.

"Excuse me, Miss?" A male voice with an unusual accent suddenly came from behind her and she snapped out of her thoughts, turning around quickly to see who had interrupted her brisk, somewhat perturbed walk down the cobblestone path that ran through the neighbor's garden. "Can you help me? Im... a lot lost," a dark-haired young man in a red flannel shirt, beige pants with far too many pockets, and a pair of work boots that had seen a lot of use.

"Where are you trying to go?" Hester glanced down at her wristwatch as discreetly as she could, hoping she could help him get on his way with enough time to make it to the cinema.

"Well," he began, eyeing her with a grin and a gleam of playful mischeviousness in his sea blue eyes. "I really didn't have a plan until I saw you. Now I'm hoping I might be able to treat you to lunch." His gaze had now turned hopeful.

Hester would normally turn her back on a man who tried such a cheesy move on her, but there was something about him that made her believe that he was actually being sincere with his interest in her... "I was actually headed to the cinema to catch an early movie," she said, pausing to give him the chance to opt out of his invitation.

His smile widened and his eyes seemed to sparkle as he formed a new request, "So is there any way I could treat you to a movie and lunch then? Sitting with a pretty girl in a dark theater would be the highlight of my entire trip, I'm sure." He offered Hester his right hand and said, "My name is Noah Caldwell. My dad sent me to work out a deal with his merchandise and services because he's stuck out at sea right now. It's been rather boring."

Hester took his hand. "I'm Hester Lewis and boredom is my worst enemy." She smiled at Noah gently and that was how it all began...
@Dynamo Frokane, possibly. Could you elaborate a little more?

Most people who visited Mariposa ended up moving there. Luckily, it was not a well-known place or it probably would have become extremely overcrowded in an extreme hurry. It was a fishing town through and through, not at all meant to entertain tourists despite being picture perfect and having all the simple and wholesome amenities one would expect in a township with its booming economy. There was only one fleet of deep-sea fishing boats. The company was owned by Noah Caldwell, who inherited it from his father about two years after he married the woman of his dreams. He would forever be grateful that he had managed to receive his father's blessing before his health took a turn for the worst. He met Hester on a trip to Liverpool, England and it had been love at first sight for Noah. She was beautiful, simple, elegant, gentle, and... well, enchanting. No American girl that he had ever dated even came close to her matching her level of charm.

As soon as they were married, they built a beautiful Victorian cottage right across the street from Serenity Meadow, which was bordered by The Enchanted Forest, a name Noah found rather silly. It did add a certain charm to their cottage though, especially when Hester started renting out the spare bedrooms when he was at sea. She named their home The Orchid and she even hired a part-time housekeeper named Suzette who came three times a week to clean. It was surprising how successful the little B&B became so quickly, but there really weren't any hotels in town and Hester was an amazing hostess. She was damn close to being a gourmet chef to top everything else off too.

Yes, life was good for Noah and Hester... and, well, pretty much everyone in Mariposa. It was, honestly too good, but no one could see what was manifesting underneath the seemingly tranquil waters that Noah's deep-sea fishing boats were floating on even at that very moment...

(If anyone wants to be Noah, that's fine with me. I'm going to be playing as Hester and a surprise character a bit later on. I really don't think I can handle playing three characters, lol)
One last question (hopefully):

Are blogs nonexistent on this site?
I figured it out. Thank you!
I'm not seeing an option to upload an avatar anywhere?
@The Harbinger of Ferocity, I am having trouble figuring out how to upload an avatar. I think I figured everything else out.

I have a wide variety of interests and I haven't roleplayer in so long, I'm not really sure what I'm looking for exactly.
My name is Heather Lee and I've been roleplaying for a little over twelve years now, but it's been awhile since I've taken it seriously. Actually, it has been far too long since I've fully immersed myself in a fantasy world and I think that's exactly what the doctor ordered.

A few questions though:

1. How do I set up my profile on here without logging into my Facebook account?
2. How do I upload a profile picture/avatar?
3. Is there anything exciting going on right now?

Thanks in advance,
Heather Lee 🦄
