We’re burglars, cut-throats, pickpockets and murderers. We’d sooner stab you in the back then shake your hand. Yet somehow, against all odds, we’ve become organized. Not because we trust each other nor because we respect each other. Not even because we fear each other. But because we know that we can make more money as a team. You are going be a part of our team now. We don’t need you to like us or to trust us. We just need you to shut up and do as we say. If you do that, you’ll go far. If not? Then the only place you’ll end up is six feet under the ground.
The city of Luthias is flourishing city-state next to the great ocean. This is a melting pot where people from all corners of the world come to trade goods and Ideas. It houses many riches, both in knowledge and in gold. But Riches tend to attract attention. Both in form of honest workers and not so honest workers.
A bag of weasels. This is our home. Or atleast our base of operations. We’ve “persuaded” the owner to let us run our business in his basement. It’s run down tavern in the middle of the slums. It smells horribly and it can be pretty hard to sleep at night but we get our drinks for free.
The slums. Home to the blackmarket, dirty brothels and rowdy taverns. This is where most shady business takes place. If you wander into here, make sure to keep one hand on your purse and the other on your sword. And if you aren’t looking to punch in some fools you should probably stay out of the alleys.
The market district. The market district is where most commerce takes place. It is home to many of Luthia’s middle class citizens and a pickpocket's dream. A large plaza filled with market stalls is the most prominent feature of the district. Around the plaza are many narrow alleys with shops on either side and apartments on the floors above them.
The waterfront. This is Where goods come in and where goods go out. Not many people live here but a large portion of the city work here. As sailors, fishermen, merchants and labourers. Some opportunistic thieves might try stealing the valuables right off the ship before they’ve reached a store. And if you’re feeling particularly daring you might even try your hand at some good old fashioned hijacking.
The noble's district. The noble's district is, as the name implies, home to the nobles, the aristocrats and the wealthy merchants of Luthia. They live in overabundance in luxurious villas with beautiful gardens. These are prime targets for burglars although security is usually very tight. Just getting into the noble's district can be hard.
The grand duke's palace. This magnificent palace is home to the grand duke of Luthias. It's probably the juiciest target in the whole city. It is a massive citadel made out of solid marble and stone. No one knows what riches are hidden inside. But you'd have to be some kind of magician to get in. Elite guards are posted everywhere, eceryday. But a thief can always dream…
We’re a sorry bunch of low-lives who are in desperate need of coin. Most people, those that know we exist that is, wouldn’t even call us a guild. “Oh, they’re just a glorified gang.” they say. And they might be right, but not for long. Soon enough we will rule this city.
Appearance: (A picture or a description of what your char looks like.) Age:(How old is your char?) Name: (Your char’s name. Pretty straightforward.) Nickname/Alias: (Anything your char is called that isn’t their real name.) Gender: (Your char’s gender. Again, pretty straightforward.)
Personality: (What kind of person is you char?) Biography: (How was their life leading up to this point?)
Skills: (What you char is good at.) Equipment: (What your char carries on their person.)
The plot will involve us doing different jobs to line our pockets with gold and to increase the guilds influence. These jobs might be stealing valuable items or blackmailing high ranking nobles. We'll also have run ins with rival guilds and gangs.
As for characters I'm hoping for a pretty diverse cast. We'll all have to be criminals in one way or another but not everyone has to be a sneaky thief. We'll need some brutes and thugs too. I'd like to see both more noble thieves who steal from the rich and give to the poor and more selfish thieves who are only in it for themselves.
"Grimhilde? She's that crazy hag that tried to murder her step-daughter, right?" Nils said. "Don't know much about her but I hear she has some kinda magic mirror." suddenly realised what he had said. Dammit! Why did I say that? He thought to himself as some weird grimace stretched across his face. Seemed like he had botched all of his chances with her. "Umm... anyone know what time it is?" He asked trying to change the subject. "I don't wanna hang here all day."
We're burglars, cut-throaths, pickpockets and murderers. We'd sooner stab you in the back than shake your hand. Yet somehow, against all odds, we've become organised. In this rp we'll be playing members of the thieves guild in the city of Luthias. (I'll give more info about the city if I get some interest.) We're going to be shaking down merchants, picking pockets, burglarizing manors, bribing guardsmen and "taking care" of the guilds enemies. And with little bit of luck we'll be ruling the city from the shadows.
Nils was quietly laughing at his own joke when a girl with pale skin and long, black hair appeared as if out of nowhere. Wow, she’s pretty hot… Nils thought to himself when she started talking. “Sounds like something my mother would say...” Her mother… Who could her mother be? The pale skin and black hair made her look like Snow White’s daughter but that didn’t really sound like something she’d say. “Your mom’s some kinda… Actress?” Nils asked not expecting a serious answer. “I’m Nils. What’s your name?”
